Both me and my relatives have had the same experiences when picking up orders from the front counter of this specific location. To my knowledge, CVS is not franchised, so it's the expectation that locations across the US would uphold the same standards and practices. Where I'm from, cashiers typically ask to see ID and/or the order number when picking up online orders in store, to ensure that the person picking up the order is the person who placed the order or the designated pick-up person. Packaged orders are also behind the counter and not on display for just anyone to grab as if it's a food order at a fast food restaurant. I've placed several online orders since being in town for a week and have both called and gone in store requesting for someone to mark the orders as "picked up" because 4 days of emails and text alerts reminding me to pick up my orders, when I already have, is quite annoying. Cashiers should be either scanning the barcode printed on the receipt they staple to the bag or asking the customer for their name and marking the order picked up before the customer leaves the store. Our orders are not safe from someone accidentally or purposefully taking an order that isn't theirs. I would be highly upset to know that someone took something I paid for. I've spoken with two associates and was given these two responses, "You got the order didn't you? So don't worry about it" and "You can just take it and go. We don't have to do that". Actually, you do. It's your job! These responses are unprofessional and a potential liability to the store. My last visit to the store, I didn't leave until they completed the order pick up process and I watched as they fumbled with the hand-held device. Why? Because they're not completing the process the way it was created to be completed. Taking shortcuts is extremely lazy and irresponsible. The associates' attitudes towards this simple request tells me all I need to know about how they feel about their customers and their hard earned money. This also speaks volumes to their training under the current management. You all need to do better!

When I have called to speak with a pharmacist concerning getting a prescription filled, whomever I have spoken with has always been very curt and condescending in their tone towards me and always telling me that I'm either not following proper procedure in requesting the medication or that it's out of stock and that I have to wait for it to the point where they have actually hung up on me! Whenever I have called ANY other pharmacy, I've never been spoken to in such a rude and impolite manner and have always had my prescription filled. Never ever have they hung up on me! On Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2021, I went in to request a pneumonia vaccination which is highly recommended for someone in my age group - I am 72. The young dark-haired pharmacist on duty refused to give it to me (!) because I could not tell her exactly what type of pneumonia vaccine (?) I had gotten the last time I received one. In fact, I hadn't realized that any different types even existed. Evidently, I had not been given that information when I received the previous vaccine simply, and obviously, because it was not considered to be really important. Nevertheless, that Stop & Shop pharmacist stubbornly and rudely refused to give me the vaccination treating me as though I didn't deserve to be protected from the illness due to my ignorance and stupidity in not knowing what kind of pneumonia vaccine I had gotten previously! So, I left the Stop & Shop and went directly to a Walgreens pharmacy just a few blocks away (on Applegarth Rd) and was given the vaccine immediately and with no problem. The Stop & Shop management really needs to flush out the rude and condescending people in its pharmacy staff - or give them a lesson in providing good, efficient - and courteous - customer service not only to compete successfully with the other businesses in the area but to demonstrate that they really care about the health and safety of their customers.
