The service at this location is so horrible that I wish I had the option to rate it zero. I pressed the button for customer service and not one person came over to see if I needed anything. I went to the front to ask if someone could assist me and they said I have to be patient after pressing the button for customer service. I was at this location a total of twenty minutes with no help. NO ROADIE PICK UPS IN DRIVE THRU says the pharmacists on duty today. I've only tried here once but they refused to let me pick up in the drive thru I've never been turned away from a cvs pharmacy delivery order in the drive thru. I wonder if they even think of patient urgency how important their prescription is that wouldn't usually cause hindrance to an order pick up at other cvs. What's the big deal? Whenever I have no choice but to pick up my prescription here, I know I better set aside 2 hours because they are super slow. The staff is easily frustrated too. I waited in the drive thru line for an hour and 20 minutes and once it was my turn the pharmacist closed the curtain for lunch. There is a sign for their lunch hour, but you don't see that sign until you are at the window. I just can't imagine ever having a good experience here, it's always something. read more

I live in the area, and this is the closest cvs to me. I typically do not have issues with them if my prescription is called in but a doctor. as of recent they now have to leave voicemails... my doctor told me to call and check on it but I also got sent to voicemail. not very ideal being this is a pharmacy and may have questions or concerns. read more

I went to get my 2nd booster Today and this happened: --The pharmacist Kofi who was NOT wearing a mask was administering the shots and had just finished giving someone in front of me a shot who was wearing a mask but down from her nose, nonchalantly said next once he was done with her, -- No clean up No cleaning hands NOTHING. -- I asked did he mind wearing a mask and cleaning the area and he tried to explain to me that it was Safe and he was vaxed!!!!! Tasha is the worst manager and truly doesn't need to be in customer service...and healthcare customer service at all. I went to pick up a prescription that I dropped off three days ago for her to tell me they lost my prescription and do not have anything for me in the system. Her tone was very harsh, nasty and disrespectful. When I asked for her name she gave me her first name and stated I didn't need her last name or the name of the employee who lost my prescription. Avoid this CVS. No wonder it has 2.1 stars. If you don't enjoy working with people or healthcare, do something else. Additionally, I suggest contacting corporate. read more

Literally the worst CVS in the country. It smells awful in here. The service is complete trash, the managers and employees don't even read their own policies or understand them. One of the managers tried to show me their policy and was clearly misquoting what was written, and even misquoting it for the wrong product. Avoid if you like your sanity and quality. Don't even get me started on the actual Pharmacy, it has 0 medications in stock. Not worth it. Visited this location to pick up some glucose testing strips for a friend. The strips were located near the pharmacy and unfortunately for me were locked up in a display case. I would have preferred to have access to the item, but realize that theft is a problem for most retail businesses and didn't mind the minimal inconvenience. I approached the pharmacy counter and waited patiently for assistance. There were a total of six employees who I assumed were working in various capacities behind the counter. One gentleman who I assume was the pharmacist was the phone speaking with a customer and the other five were talking to each other or looking at their phones. After waiting for someone to at least acknowledge me I said excuse me, "can someone assist me with the glucose testing strips that are locked up in the security case. One employee informed me that I need to go to the front of the store and have someone unlock the display case to access the testing strips. I promptly heeded his instructions and proceeded to the front of the store. There were no employees at the front of the store nor did I see anyone in the isles. I walked back to the pharmacy counter to inform them of the situation. The pharmacist, who was on the phone earlier informed me that I have to press a button on the side of the display case to summon assistance. Unbelievable!!! Why was I instructed to go up front. Why was I ignored by every single VS employee behind the pharmacy counter. Obviously, these incompetent individuals don't need my business and could care less their customers. This store is pathetic and the other Yelp reviews over the years are truly accurate. I will never step foot in this store and I will encourage all of you to do the same. This place is a joke and the CVS corporate office should be ashamed to be affiliated with this particular location. Unbelievable!!! read more

Got a Covid shot here today for a family member. Staff was friendly, efficient, organized and prepared. Best shot experience I've had and I've accompanied a number of friends, family and elderly neighbors to get shots over the past month to various locations including a hospital. They had plenty of signage and marked spaces for distancing before and afterwards, and seats and timers they set for your wait time so you didn't have to guess. Very well done and props to the New Carrollton CVS staff on a great experience. read more

I really wish I could give 0 stars, this is the worst CVS I've ever been to. I called the pharmacy three different times to follow up on my prescription that my doctor sent over a week ago. Each time I was put on hold for over 15 minutes, no one ever answered the phone. I came in person and waited in line for 40 minutes; while here the phone was ringing and again no one ever tended to the phone or the drive thru line. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. read more

My prescriptions are never filled when I use my mobile cvs app. I have to still manually call the pharmacy and many times they are unprofessional and borderline rude. When I arrive to pick up medications, I have to sit in the drive thru line on average of 20 mins each time. Customer service needs to improve or pharmacist and technicians need training or to be replaced. read more

This is the worse CVS I have ever dealt with, I just transfered all of my prescriptions to a much better pharmacy about two weeks ago, this particular CVS tells you they ordered a medication for you that never comes in, the pharmacy techs and the pharmacists are untruthful and rude, I don't know how this particular pharmacy stays in business, oh! Long wait for medicine and its a very rude pharmacist who works there. I hate going here and I'm currently seeking a new pharmacy.

If you weren't sick when you got here, you will be before you leave. Truly this pharmacy is staffed with the most dim-witted bunch of "professionals" I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. My husband and I both have Caremark Prescription plans, and they coordinate benefits, so our prescriptions have a $0 co-pay. This bunch not only couldn't figure out how to manage that, they told me that neither prescription plan was good. It took over two hours to sort this out. I had to call Caremark and Caremark FEP. The pharmacy refused to do it, even after I told them that Caremark had no record of them attempting to charge to either plan. They said they had a long line and didn't have time. Duh! In the two hours I stood there they told every third customer that their insurance was no good. And they were not very polite or discreet about how they did it either. One older lady had to leave without her insulin because she was told her insurance was no good and she did not have enough money to pay for it. After 2 hours, one of the very helpful techs did finally talk to Caremark on my cell phone - they still refused to call - and discovered they were trying to charge Carefirst instead of Caremark. Whew! I thought we were finally straightened out! But no. Now she's got attitude that I made her look stupid by not telling her she was charging the wrong company. How was I to know she was charging the wrong company? She had both cards. At this point I requested my original prescriptions back and was told I could not have them. I eventually had to pay for them because they refused to process them because I had been so much trouble and taken up so much of their time and they were very busy. read more

I had transferred my prescriptions to this CVS from the location in Landover Hills because of the poor service there but recently this pharmacy is becoming just as bad. I have most of prescriptions on auto-refill to make things easier. A few days ago I noticed that one of my prescriptions was getting low so I checked online and noticed that it was in process so I thought everything was OK. Today, I realized that I hadn't received the call telling me that it was ready for pickup. I checked online again and it still showed in process but in another section showed it was available for pickup this past Saturday. Obviously confused, I tried to call but was put on hold twice, once for 10 minutes and the other for 20 minutes. An hour later I called again. This time someone picked up. As I tried to explain she just kept talking over me. Finally she said that they could process the prescription and have it ready later. That's fine, but then why bother to have it on auto refill? I kept trying to explain that and she simply ignored me. This is an important medication and I don't need an attitude, just the medication. P.S. Don't bother trying to call their corporate office, they're as bad as the stores. read more
