She hollers for help, so another equally incompetent cashier opens the second register. My turn comes up, the first lady just walks away. After waiting longer, the second cashier informs me that my prescription won't be ready for another 30 minutes. Three hours after the prescription had been called in. Why the delay? "We're busy," was the response. Said in the most insulting, rude, snotty tone. This is not the first time we have encountered long lines and rude staff. Will be changing our pharmacy immediately.

I had a script sent from a manufacturer due to a manufacturer error, I went through the pharmacy to pick it up, mind you this was the second time because the day prior the other pharmacy tech didn't know what I was talking about. Besides, Gina immediately told me "you have to come inside for that" this was not made aware to me prior as I went through the drive through, I was unable to apologize as she left to find the manager since he was the only one who apparently knew where the medication was. When she handed me my meds she repeatedly and unprofessionally told me this wouldn't happen again and I have to come inside next time. Had this information been made aware to me prior I would have no issue coming inside however this information is not posted. The fact I was treated and spoken to like a child is despicable, clearly Gina needs better training when speaking with customers. If you have a sign on the window stating customers should be nice to staff maybe CVS staff should be nice to their customers

You can sit at the soda fountain, or grab one of the three or four booths and have a simple sandwich and dessert. Sandwiches include for example BLT, hot dog, grilled cheese, tuna salad, egg salad, chicken salad, turkey cold cut, ham, and other things your Mom might have made. The only soup option is "Campbell's Tomato." Check the web site...you will see pictures showing the soda fountain seating is green vinyl and the tables and countertops are Formica. In the back there is a real wooden public phone booth (ready for Clark Kent to do his thing). But you have to pay more than a dime for a phone call (that and the phone equipment is about all that has changed). Wife and I came by to try out the desserts. Since we're new to Martinsburg, I had to ask what the "Jo Jo" Sundae was (their house specialty), and it's French Vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, peanut butter syrup, and marshmallow. YUM. Wife had the root beer float. You can get regular and malted milk shakes. They had a number of items that you won't find anywhere else. Once we went to CVS to get one of those rubber red hot water bottles, which we wanted to use for muscle pain relief, and the fellow at CVS was young and he really was clueless about what we wanted. CVS didn't carry it, but Patterson's has those (at least two styles) and other things you won't find anywhere else. The counter lady said they try to get the "old things" whenever they can find them for their customers. Up front there is a display case for perfumes, colognes, and other "gift" items. On the counter in the back, I saw at least four large spools of gift wrap ribbon. Now, where else can you get a gift wrapped! (I suppose Macy's during the holiday season and that's about it these days). Patterson's also had a large display of fancy chocolates (we're coming up to Valentines Day) and Hallmark cards. Patterson's takes pride that you don't have to wait long to have your prescriptions filled, and they advertise that they take all major insurance, including federal employee health plan insurance (which applies to me). This place is a classic. Check it out.

I only needed a few more things that I could not find elsewhere and I wanted to make sure I grabbed them while I was out because I was not making another trip. With it being the holiday season this place was packed, not unlike any other weekend. I ran in here and tried to make my way around the store as fast as I could. In my mad dash to grab things I was able to complete my shopping list without too much hassle from the other customers. Even in the midst of holiday season, they seemed to have a well stocked store.

Luckily, SO had spotted this on the way in from Shepherdstown, so we went there. Its a small, family owned looking place, and they had just what I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and let me use their facilities which was very generous of them. Definitely keep this in mind in you are touring Antietam and need anything- there isn't anything immediately nearby the battlefield, and this place is about 10-15 minutes away down the pike.

This past prescription I called in to see if it was filled and they said they dont have it. I asked how long it would take to get it they said they dont know. Then they told me my insurance is not good and I asked how did my last prescription get filled. They told me they never ran it through my insurance!! Why this was not mentioned to me is beyond belief. Then they said they would not fill this one until I went there and gave them my new insurance information. My insurance information has never changed. I will never go back. The woman on the phone was not helpful at all to find a resolution to the insurance. I asked to give my information again and she refused. There customer service is lacking and they never try to find a solution. Poor service indeed.
