This was my last stop prior to the long haul rest of the way home. I obviously went out of my way…read moreto come here, as I said in my other review for another location not too far from here. On my way back home I decided to fuel myself up and was the reason for this particular stop. I found a place to park and went inside to place my order on the touchscreen. I already knew what I was going to get which was my usual order when I make a stop at one of these. From the time of my visit here until right now as I am typing this review, it appears that this location is temporarily closed. Usually, on the Sheetz website, that means they are updating the property. Usually a teardown and rebuild to either expand the store or add something to the property. After the touchscreen I made my way to the registers to pay and paid. Made my way back to the kitchen area and waited for my food to be prepared. Once it was ready I then headed out to my vehicle. Sheetz is one of the few places I always check my food before I leave. Upon inspection my food was correct. I usually grab something small to nosh on during the rest of my trip. Food was on par for a Sheetz which I appreciate. Great stop. And it appears that if there is an update, that will make it better here.

With the way gas prices are, I had to make sure that I wasn't paying the most expensive price. West Virginia, when compared to other surrounding states, has some of the cheapest prices for fuel. Not that much cheaper, but cheaper nonetheless. Just under $4 a gallon, I made sure to fuel up. I pulled in and a lot of the pumps were in use, one was down as well. I was almost at the out of order pump before I realized. I opted for the pay at pump option so that I could make it easy on that end. Once I was fueled up, I made my way inside. I made use of the facilities and grabbed myself a few more drinks to take with me on the way. I didn't want to take up too much time inside here because I was still parked at the pump. With my purchase paid for, I went back outside and continued on my way.

This place used to be my go-to for breakfast burritos before work every morning. That is until they hired this one girl in the kitchen who is incapable of putting together a breakfast burrito. She seems to not care about the food she prepares at all. This morning was the 3rd time she made my burrito and it will be the last. I always get a sausage, egg, and cheese with salsa added. 1st time she used cocktail sauce instead of salsa. 2nd time she forgot to add the cheese. This time she managed to fuse the paper wrap to the tortilla, causing the burrito to fall apart as I opened it. It seems this employee needs to be retrained on how to prepare food.

I went inside to use the facilities, because I knew I was in for the long haul of this trip back home. Their facilities were decent, well maintained, clean. I did end up getting a few drinks to take home with me. Once I got home, I was in for the day and not going anywhere. I putzed around a bit outside, rechecking my directions. I find it interesting that this location is right next to the airport in the area. It feels isolated, but still a place everyone knows about. The constant flow of people in and out of the lot was noticeable. Getting out of here is confusing. I wish they would have which route you are entering on from which entrance. I almost went the wrong way when trying to get back out on the road.
