I had a very disappointing experience today at the CVS Pharmacy on Due West Road. This is especially frustrating because I would normally give this location's pharmacy five stars. However, today's encounter was unacceptable. When I arrived, the drive-through window was closed, which resulted in one of the longest lines I have seen inside the store. After waiting patiently, I was finally assisted by an associate pharmacist, Isabel, who was reviewing my card information. After doing so, she instructed me to step out of line and return behind another gentleman who was originally behind me, rather than simply allowing me to remain at the counter or rejoin as the next customer. I politely asked the gentleman if he would mind allowing me to step back in front of him since I had already been at the counter. He graciously agreed. However, when I returned to the counter, the associate had not provided my prescription to the cashier. I explained that she had already quoted me the price and I was ready to pay. She then responded in a very sharp and dismissive tone, stating that she had "told" me to wait behind the other gentleman. I was taken aback. I calmly explained that I believed the prescription was ready, since I had already been given the total and the medication was visibly bagged and labeled. At that point, a manager intervened and reiterated--also in a curt tone--that it was not ready and that I would need to wait behind the gentleman as previously instructed. I then asked how long the wait would be, explaining that I had an appointment to attend. I was told it would be "about five minutes." I ultimately had to notify my client that I would be delayed because I was waiting for medication that appeared to be prepared and ready for purchase. The tone, lack of courtesy, and unnecessary rigidity in handling this situation were extremely disappointing. What could have been resolved in a matter of seconds became an uncomfortable and avoidable interaction. Customers should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially after waiting in a long line. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this experience did not reflect the level of service I have come to expect from this location. read more

If you have a choice, fill your prescriptions elsewhere. I had a coupon and the pharmacy assistant told me I could not use the coupon there although if clearly said it could be used for self pay. The p.a. did not even try to enter. I went to my car and called the number on the coupon and confirmed it was valid. When I went back in, she took it and put it in the computer and said it was valid. They simply refuse to pick up the phone. I called in my Mother's prescription and was routed to an automatic message. I left a request for it to be filled. A week later, they sent a text message telling me they'd get to it, but no other communication and no medicine. I went to another pharmacy even though I had to pay full price. I went through the pharmacy drive thru to pick up a prescription and as usual the line was long and took forever. Maybe it's just my luck but it seems every time I come here I have to wait like 15-20min in the drive thru. Not sure what is going on with that. Also, when I called refill my prescription I was told it would be done within the hour but after arriving and waiting I was told they had to order it and I had to come back in a day or so smh. Check yourself out or be ridiculed. I was buying 150.00 in gif cards and asked for someone to check me out. I wanted to make sure they were activated correctly. I received a full eye roll and lectured on how "this so how all stores are going to be soon.." Well until then I"ll shop somewhere else so I can spend money in an environment where people don't expect you do their jobs and be nasty about it. This place is bleak and surprisingly still in business. This location is by far the worst one I've ever been too. The prices are entirely too high and the selection is sad. The only option was self check out which is fine but odd that it's the only option. Walgreens is better than CVS read more

Never go here. It used to be the best place to stop in and grab something. We have been loyal customers for over a decade to this place. Now it is the worst place to go! Staff is extremley rude and unhelpful. If I could give it zero stars I would. I want this place shut down and replaced with a different branch or someone who cares! They do not care about the customers and the selection is subpar to say the least. Absolutely terrible, I will never step foot in this place ever again and I strongly advise others to do the same. This places reaches an all time low on customer care. ANYTIME you go here for pharmacy needs THEY FAIL MISERABLY. We were Rite Aid customers but they closed and we were forced to go to this CVS. A true nightmare. Slow,Slow service and sadly what appears to be incompetent staff. I have given them chance after chance, been patient over and over but this location is a wreck. Is it understaffed? incompetent or do they just not care? From the reviews of many CVS Pharmacies it appears it is a consistently poor rated Pharmacy. Lived here for 20 years and have seen CVS staff members come and go. Overall staff has been very professional. Pharmacy seems over tasked a lot , but they make a solid effort to help. When mom transferred in from out of state , one of her meds expired. I couldn't get through to the doctor to refill. The pharmacy team took steps to contact the doctor and informed me when the meds were ready. Big relief. Yeah, a smile goes a long way with good customer service. Thank you much!! read more

I went in today to the minute clinic here at CVS, on the referral of my audiologist. I have hearing loss, and wear hearing aids. Long story short, my audiologist recommended removing the hearing aids over the course of the weekend. She specified that I go to the clinic and get a specific eardrop to clear up soreness in one of my ears. Then the hearing aids could be reinstalled on Monday. I have a family with three kids, I need the hearing aids and my hearing to perform my job, and put food on the table for my family. My doc at the minute clinic, Mrs JC, did not appreciate the same in anyway. She was immediatly put-off when I told her it was recommended (Buy my audiologist ) that I get a specific type of eardrops to clear up soreness in my ear, get my hearing aids reinstalled, and get back to work. She (doc) had a little attitude about me not telling her what I need, but her having to tell me what I need. OK OK, I don't really care, I wasn't being offensive, and it wasn't personal to me, I just told her that my audiologist had recommended a certain eardrop. I just want the drops so I can get my ears cleared up and get back to work. She seemed to then have a change of heart and said OK no problem, ... she sees the soreness in the ear and will prescribe the drops. Then after a few more minutes she changed her mind and said never mind, I'm going to give you something very entry-level not as strong... if that doesn't work you can come back again. Each one has to run for seven days... I nicely and just one time let her know that I would appreciate enough of a medication to actually clear my ears so I can get back to work. She didn't seem to take it with any urgency, and continued about giving me something else to try first. And if that didn't work she would go up from there. Not understanding that would mean days and weeks off of work for myself as I have to run these drops for seven days. Very annoying, I was perfectly nice, she just didn't like that I suggested the type of drops in the beginning. Now it's a real hassle for me in my daily duties. I will not go back again. I would recommend that you would do better anywhere else. This whole process took two hours. If it was her family or herself,I think she would've felt very differently about it... read more

Nobody in my area would help me with a medication I was going to run out of that I have been on for forever and can't just cold turkey quit it. Ms. Amanda and Ms. Judy at the clinic were seriously my life savers that day. I was thinking I'd walk out crying and not being able to get it. I left a smiling, happy, and a healthier customer. I was in this CVS last night with my teenage son and his friends to buy candy. When we in the candy aisle one of the boys was goofing around (like teenage boys usually do) and was showing the others how he would put candy in his pocket to take in the movie. Needless to say, I admonished him to not do that because someone in the store would think he was stealing. When we got to the counter the cashier (Kathy) said nothing but was not exactly friendly, in fact she was downright rude. Finally, during the transactions she looked at me and said "A customer said you were putting candy in your jacket." I was surprised and told her what had happened. She just looked at me with that smug "yeah right" look and didn't say anything. Then she just repeated the "a customer said" line. I was already annoyed by being in there with unruly teenage boys, so I just looked at her and said something to the effect of "I'm not going to instruct my son and friends to steal candy!" Again, the smug look of "yeah right". I've been a customer of this CVS for 15 years and have never encountered such treatment. When I got home, after composing myself, I called the store to again explain what happened and AGAIN the "customer said" line. What was the point of telling me that at all?! If she really thought we were stealing candy (I'm a 57 year old woman, I'm not going to bring kids in the store to steal candy!!) she should have called the police. What was accomplished by her telling me that? All she had to do when I was talking to her on the phone would have been something to the effect of "I'm sorry if there was a misunderstanding" and all would have been well. Ok, so maybe I'm just slightly perturbed. No, I'm no longer perturbed but at the time I was VERY peturbed and upset. I thought if I waited to write this review it'd be easier but it is not. This review is specifically for the minute clinic at this CVS location. I went here in December after experiencing flu-like symptoms for a few days. The FNP, provider, doctor type person....whatever you want to call them seemed to be pretty polite at first. I told her my symptoms and that I thought it might be the flu. She checked me for it by swabbing my nose, which is standard. However, she was rather brash, so much so that instinctively I grabbed at her arm because of her forcefulness. My eyes began to water and I was a little thrown off. She was completely unapologetic however. Now, by no means am I sensitive, and I have been checked for the flu before by completing an Influenza A/B test (nose swab). The primary reason for my low rating (I was kind enough to give 2 stars) is because as a healthcare professional I would expect that you use your professional opinion when administering tests and prescribing prescriptions. This means, if a patient comes in a says they think they have "this" but the symptoms sound or look like "that", then your professional opinion takes prevalence. Goodness, otherwise I'd just google and self prescribe medication! Ok, well I was told that there was a virus going around and that was most likely my ailment. I was told to continue to take OTC medications and I should be fine in a few days. Well lo and behold 2 days later I was not better...in fact I was worse. So much so, I spent the last half of my birthday...in the ER after my symptoms worsened and I developed high fevers and other symptoms. Turns out I had strep throat. I was administered antiobiotics and felt better a few days later but that feeling subsided weeks later when I received my $1000+ ER bill. So thanks to Minute Clinic's lack of professional knowledge, courtesy, patience, whatever it was that caused this lady not to check a few more things to see if I had strep, or simply give me a $35 strep test....I spent the last half of my birthday upchucking my guts in the ER and accruing a bill that I did NOT appreciate. My advice to you, go to the CVS Minute Clinic on Cobb Pkwy near Publix. I've been to this location and its great as well as the practitioner. If you do go to this Minute Clinic...I think twice if the practitioner is Cornwell. Not trying to throw this person under the bus, so much as I'm trying to save people money and from having a similar experience. read more

This review is for the minute clinic as well. This place is fine for a wellness check but I have been misdiagnosed twice. Last year , I was sick for over a month because I was not given the proper prescription the first time. I went back a few days later and a different practitioner sent me straight to urgent care. I immediately got better once on antibiotics. Recently, I told a friend to go there bc she lives in the area(not thinking) and Lo and behold she was diagnosed wrong too. Tmw she is going to urgent care. She was told it was allergies and now she has a fever and awful congestion. I would be careful before going to the minute clinic. I agreed with everything in the earlier review. My experience was very similar. It didn't resonate with me until my friend mentioned she was getting worse. Than I realized last year my ordeal, it's easy to forget once you get better! read more

I have been shopping at this CVS since I moved to GA 20 years ago. I am there almost every day picking something up, in fact I am in there so much the pharmacy staff knows me by site, even with a mask on. The pharmacy staff values me as a customer and always goes the extra mile to help me with a smile, even when they are slammed. The store managment, staff, and district manager are another story. First, the store staff is always busy making giant shelf tag changes during peak business hours. Now that they have self checkout, they don't even open the registers. For example, I was there last Thursday. I needed to buy a couple small things and get out quickly. There was a line about 10 people deep for the self checkout. An employee was off to the side of the registers directing people to use the self checkout. All the other staff was in the aisles changing prices. I asked her to open a register and I was told the policy is for her to stand and guide people through the self checkout. I insisted and she still refused. I asked to speak with a manager and she said that the manager was busy in her office. I reluctantly waited close to 20 minutes, rang myself up and I left the store. On my way home I called the customer care line and explained the situation. They gave me some canned empathy and asked if I would like a call from a region or district manager, I said yes, they told me I would get a call back I 48 hours. Which is a long time, but I said ok. It's been 4 days. I am going to stop shopping at CVS. They are too busy trying to streamline things and changing shelf stickers to care. I am lobbying my company to participate in a different prescription managment company next open enrollment. CVS is big Pharma in all the worst ways. At this point I am taking my general merchandise business elsewhere. I will only use the pharmacy and I am working on transferring it all to mail order. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Poorly managed, poorly merchandised and always a negative vibe. There is a lot of competition and I will be taking my dollars there. read more

They can't seem to keep technicians (as evidenced by the fact that there are always new faces) and most of them are usually rude. There is a new pharmacist there (Magaly?) who doesn't seem to know what she is doing and can't seem to convey information very well since English is obviously her second language. read more

This review is for the minute clinic. The nurse practitioner in the clinic misdiagnosed me. I don't have insurance so I went there, because it was only $80 compared to $140 at a doctors office. I had an extremely sore throat and thought I had strep. She did a test and then because the test came back negative, told me that there was nothing I could do. I endured pain for several days after that in my throat and right ear to the point I could no longer tolerate it and ended up going to Kennesaw Urgent Care. The DOCTOR (not nurse practitioner like in CVS) gave me antibiotics and told me that the infection had to be bacterial because of the length of time I had been sick and the pain in my right ear. He also made sure to tell me that the amoxicillin is free at Publix. I'm a CVS employee but I will never waste my money going to a CVS minute clinic again. It only cost me $50 to get seen by a real doctor without insurance. I can't believe I suffered for over a week, because I believed some corporate nurse practitioner. Please don't go here. read more
