The parking lot is way too small for CVS the the other businesses at this location; it is always packed and a mess. Today, the store, itself, was in disarray. Looks like they are reorganizing, but everything is out of place and lots of merchandise is missing or "mumbled-jumbo". My main issue, today, is that there were no employees inside the store isles to help customers find what they were looking for. Checkout: Worse. Long line of folks with only one clerk checking people out most of the time. A second or even a third clerk would take a customer every so often, but then they'd walk away and start talking to another employee, or go on the phone, or act like they were busy when it looked like, at least to me, that they just didn't care about working. I'll be avoiding this CVS in the future. read more

I think this is one of the few CVS stores that are NOT open 24 Hours, so that takes 'em down one * (star). The location is convenient and okay 'tho it is hard to get parking due to the ever popular Mitsuwa shopping market with the food court, which also factors into the rating. I've been coming to this CVS for years. Sure, it's not the prettiest store, but they've got all the essentials. I walked in this afternoon looking for some Nicorette (not for me - Christmas present - promise!), and I was walking up and down the aisles for a good 30 minutes. There was not one employee there that asked me if I needed help finding something. I finally asked the Pharmacy lady, and she pointed me to the front with a bit of attitude. There was nobody in line, but I guess I should know better than to ask the Pharmacy. Ugh. I get to the front, and there's a lady yelling at the cashier. I know it's not Nordstrom's or anything, but a little customer service wouldn't hurt. Aside from that, this CVS is pretty reliable. WORST pharmacy I've ever been to. These idiots are so unorganized - they forgot to order my prescription then tried to lie to me about it. The pharmacy technicians are idiots - literally. They're constant referring back to the pharmacist to make sure what they're doing is correct. I worked as a pharmacy technician in high school. It's not that difficult. As I stand here waiting to get helped there's another customer asking if there is another pharmacy near by has her prescription. When you said you're prescription is ready to be picked up, you should have the f-ing prescription ready when I get here. read more

Today, my girlfriend endured such staggering disrespect at this location that she left the place in tears. After falling while running, nearly breaking her arm and spending much of the day in the ER, she came into the store in a sling, and the woman at the front counter was rude to the point of disbelief. Neither my girlfriend nor I will be returning to this location given the pharmacists' lack of compassion (frequently experienced) and general level of incompetence. The person responsible should be written up for their conduct toward this customer--though taking into consideration said incompetence and demonstrable apathy, I know that's not likely to happen. The store is fine. Average CVS. The pharmacy is a freaking joke. If you don't mind waiting in line for hours or having them lose your prescription, then this should suffice to serve as your convenient local pharmacy. There've been times I've dropped off a prescription for pick up the next day. And it wasn't ready. More recently, my Dr called in a prescription, that when I checked by calling, CVS claimed they didn't have in their system. They told me to check with Dr office - who even gave me a specific time it was called in. 5 more phone calls to each later, CVS notifies me via text the prescription is being prepared. Hours go by and I don't get a pick up notice, so I click thru to the more info link to see that they are out of stock, and script won't be filled until next day by 8:55PM. A call basically had the tech telling me good luck getting the Dr office to call it into another pharmacy since it's now after hours. It's obvious they didn't process original script bc they were out of order. And seriously, would it kill them to show "delay" in their text status updates? read more

Have to add I went back to this location again to pick up another money transfer for the same thing (my mistake). I called first after all the problems. Of course I was told the MoneyGram system was working. I got there about an hour later and waited for a girl behind the counter who was more interested in the call on her cell phone and her false eyelashes than any customer. When she finally got off her call she looked up and hesitantly asked if I needed something. I said I had called about MoneyGram but the kiosk seemed to be unplugged and asked if there was an issue. Her response was "if it's not on obviously it's not working" (i guess not so obvious to someone who just called and was told "it IS working maam"). I asked if she could tell me where the next closest MoneyGram would be and her response wasn't telling me where another CVS was and calling to make sure or using her previous cell phone to find a location and call because their store is horrible at communicating. Her response was "I don't know nothing". So disgusting. She really does not know anything. But CVS feels comfortable hiring this girl and letting her be the face and voice that represents their Company. read more

If you're coming here for passport photos - Don't! After going to another CVS that was supposed to take photos but has now stopped, we came here and we're told this store offers passport photos. This store said their machine was broken. I asked them to help by calling corporate to see if they can confirm which store can provide the service. We gave up and went to Walgreens instead! Problem 1. Rx was sent over electronically at 930a. Noon I show up to pick up, they ask me to wait 15min. 15min later pharmacist tells me they don't have it in stock. I ask the pharmacist to pls check her system and tell me which stores have the rx in stock because I need to start meds today. She says she can't do that she needs to call & it will take another half hour. I leave my # and ask her to phone with the info. Problems continue... I start calling around to other cvs stores myself and no one picks up. I start drIving around to other stores. Finally cvs playa vista tells me which store has the RX in stock. Problem 3 I get to the cvs with stock, and the price cvs mar vista quoted is incorrect by $50. I have to pay $300 instead of $250. Problem 4. I've been chasing down this medication for 2 hours dealt with 3 cvs stores. 3rd store is aware of all the problems and they ask me to wait another hour for an rx that comes pre-packaged in a box. After being mindful of the hectic busy-ness of the RX, today I felt the need to really comment on the customer service. I usually have to feel like the store or company deserves a one star bad rating. Today the pharmacy here at cvs deserves this one star. Something as simple as better communication amongst the personnel and more efficient processing between themselves would do well for the pharmacy. Who the hell formatted this store? Seriously. It's right next to Mitsuwa which should make it better. It sucked. Maybe I'm a bit cranky because I got there and there wasn't any sushi left so I was stuck eating a snickers bar from here. Or maybe it was that some areas were so disorganized in the store. I was in the section where kids toys are discounted and I was getting some little things. Wow I sound totally cheap right now but this is a friggin drug store and my kids are still toddlers. In any event, I was looking for some AA batteries (seriously I don't think I'm helping my case right now with this) and I could not find them to save my life. Who the hell designed that place? It was ridiculous. The checker didn't ask me for my CVS card. You shop at CVS to get free stuff later by using the card. One of my exes has an envelope of receipts from using the damn card so much that for little odds and ends he would just ask what I needed and consult the stack. I'm not helping the cheapness factor here.. so MOVING ON. She never asked for the card, so the store got credit for my purchases. When I told her I had a card, she said she would have to redo the transaction and it would take more time if she did. It was lame. And most importantly of all... there are no postcards at this CVS. I send postcards twice a week and need some quickly when I can't run to a touristy spot. They don't have any here and it sucked. One star for convenient location. One star for parking being easily accessible. Minus star for stuff being in the wrong place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHARMACY! Wow! I've been hesitant to write this review, but after reading others on here I must share my story. I've been using this pharmacy for about 5 years and never had much of an opinion of it. Yet, after two incidences, my opinion has drastically changed. The second negative experience was so terrible. I was given 10x the dosage of a prescription. Yes, you read that right..rather than 12.5 mg the pharmacist gave me 125mg. I caught the error after taking the medication for (4) days, when I called my doctor to confirm protocol. When I realized my prescription bottle read a different dosage than what my doctor was telling me on the phone we started investigating. I called CVS and spoke directly with Eng, the pharmacist who filled the prescription. I asked him where the error occurred. He clearly said that the dosage was written down correctly by the CVS employee, but then when HE typed it into the computer, HE (the pharmacist) typed it in wrong, saying, "oh, I didn't see the '.' between the 2 and the 5." He had NO remorse, nor did he apologize. He was very laissez faire about the entire thing. The pharmacy manager called me an hour later and was genuinely kind and apologetic saying she has already filed a report with the company. I followed it up with a report to the State Board of Pharmaceuticals. Thankfully, I did not have any negative medical repercussions due to this mistake, BUT what scares and angers me, is what if I unknowingly gave the wrong dosage to my son for a medicine that could really hurt him. Granted, there is a huge lesson there - ALWAYS ask the doctor what the script is for and what the dosage is - THEN check the medication when you get it. I admit, I've never done that...until now. It angers me that such a fatal mistake can happen and no one gets punished. I still see Eng there when I stop in for other things, and I can't help but wonder if he had any negative repercussions due to his careless error. read more

I mean, it's a drug store, it serves a purpose. I don't have high standards for drugstores. Polite, clean, friendly, well laid out. But then today I went to get a prescription filled.It's new insurance, so I give the lady my card and she oh-so-very-incredibly-slowly types my information in. Then she tells me that my card doesn't have the right information. "But, my doctor found everything she needed." "Well, they need different stuff. You need to call them and get your group number." So I call. My insurance says, uhm, it's on the card. it says policy number. Oh and your ID number? it says ID. I get off the phone and tell the not-so-polite woman (who, for reference wore glasses and was african-american) what the insurance just told me and hand her back the card. "Well, that's stupid. It's not a policy number we look for it's a group number. How dumb" WHAT? Did you just insult me and my insurance? I just wanted my pills for my headache, lady. I am guessing she was a trained pharmacist, and that at some point she was taught professionalism. Apparently she has forgotten that lesson. Never going back again. read more

If you want to be told in so many indirect words that you have no value as a paying customer because the next person in line is waiting, come here to this pharmacy. If you want to sit in filth of a waiting area to get your incorrect prescription, come here to this pharmacy. If you want annoying automated phone calls telling you to pick up the prescription you already picked up, come here to this pharmacy. If you want to be told to discard your recalled prescription into used cat litter or used coffee grinds(if you have one of the two)...of course after 3 weeks of usage of the recalled drug, well, you know where to go to. Now that almost everyone has to bring their own bags, I'm not sure what the rule is with bagging. I know that Trader Joe's will bag your purchases for you. Same with Target. But this store doesn't. At least that was my experience today when I purchased items that needed to be bagged in two bags. But who buys a lot of stuff anyway at CVS? What the heck is going on that makes the line seem like the ones at the DMV? Are the cashiers typing out the receipt on MS word? I called here a couple days ago to have my prescription transferred there from UC Irvine's pharmacy. I haven't quite figured out what the young pharmacy technician Aiesha/Ayesha had against me, but I enquired about the approximate time it would take their pharmacy to call UCI's and get the prescription transferred up here. I just asked if it would take a couple hours or a few days. My medication isn't always in stock, so sometimes it can take a couple days. I Just wanted an estimate, right? I needed to know because I planned to go out of the country on a honeymoon. Perhaps the pharmacist people get pressured aggressively to give time frames when they really don't know, but this was not one of those times. Aisha/Ayesha took this question the wrong way and started into a self-righteous diatribe about how she would get to it after the second pharmacist arrived because they were busy. She, of course, had the time to stay on the phone and not help customers, while griping and becoming annoyingly hostile. I cut her off 30 seconds into her unnecessary, long winded soapbox charade, probably right in the middle of the diatribe. I just told her "thank you for you help, bye bye" in a sincerely pleasant tone because I didn't want her to wreck my mood. She called back later telling me my school's pharmacy is only open every other day and that she couldn't fill the prescription. That's all well and good, except I had been there earlier that morning getting a different medicine filled and knew UCI Irvine's pharmacy hours to be 9-5 Mon-Fri, and this particular day with my friend Aisha/Ayesha was a Thursday. I was so dumbfounded and irritated that she had the nerve to call me back with a lie, my wide decided to call her back to cancel the order I had put in for my medication. P.S. Another time I was here, a few months prior, Ayesha/Aisha, behind the counter and probably partially hearing a conversation I was having with the pharmacist, referred to me as the "smart one." Needless to say, her customer service is on par with the staff at the Wynn in Vegas (sarcasm). read more

She gave me a nasty look and said she was on break and walked away. The rudest staff ever... they make you feel like you're the one who owes them courtesy while they act like jerks. When CVS first started taking over I vowed by their service and cleanliness. Now they have officially made my boycott list. No matter how wonderful my day may be as soon as I have to deal with this pharmacy I come out screaming bloody murder! Never have I witnessed a pharmacy that was so apathetic and unwilling to help a customer. Multiple times I have dropped off a prescription and they say its out of stock. I wait until the designated time and call ahead to see if my prescription is ready and 1 of 2 things always happens. A) They say it's ready and it's not. B) They say it's been filled for days! Days? I was told to wait days because it wasn't in stock. Oh and God forbid I ask them to call another CVS to see if they have it and to transfer my scrip there! They act as if everything they do for you is a HUGE inconvenience! And I thought the whole beauty of going to a chain pharmacy was that they're everywhere and all connected so a scrip refill is never an issue. I was wrong. I loath you CVS and I'm taking my business back to the small mom and pops that actually care about their customers. I urge you all to do the same! read more

I'm actually worried about writing this review as I am now afraid I'll be jinxing myself. I can't recall having a bad experience here. Not at the pharmacy, not in the store. There's always a nice woman (I think a manager) circling the store asking people if they need help finding something. It's not unusual for me to run into her a couple of times while I'm shopping. I've also had all good experiences with the pharmacy. Even when I had a really confusing prescription and coupon to try to process, they were all very patient and tried to be helpful. This is not a review for the pharmacy... rather this is a review for their toy section during Christmas. My husband and I came here after we decided last minute to attend a Toy Drive Gala at the W Hollywood. In a mad scramble, the only place convenient was this CVS. They had one long row dedicated to toys - I decided on an oversized stuffed dog and my husband got a huge radio controlled truck (boys, psh). We also picked up a play-doh fun set - each toy was $19.99 which I thought was on par with what we would have spent any where else. We don't have kids though, so not sure if this was a good deal or not. Service was fine - they checked us out quickly and pleasantly. Store was clean and felt safe enough. No complaints here but after reading the reviews on the pharmacy itself, I probably wouldn't come back if I needed a prescription filled! read more

This CVS is located amongst a bunch of stores and has a big private parking lot. This makes errands very convenient. It wasn't very crowded so I didn't wait too long while shopping at CVS. I know some people have had issues with the pharmacy but if you're just looking to pick up a few items then it does the job. There's usually a fair amount of traffic on Centinela so make a right when exiting the parking lot! Lot of crazy drivers (Los Angeles...) read more
