I called this location & Vainey was super helpful in doing an exchange for a new system. Sam & Alfonso were professional/pleasant in processing the exchange & making sure the new system worked properly. I'm a CvS customer at another nearby location.. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. They will waste your time to the point of deep, regrettable frustration. The pharmacy is absolutely devoid of any customer service. I wasted over 2 hours here to get a simple vaccine, the price of which changed multiple times over the course of this horrific visit. I was instructed to pay for it via QR code, which I did. After making it all the way home, they call me to inform me that I have to return because they can't see if the payment processed - even though it showed as successful on my screen. Corporate should investigate this location if it has any concern whatsoever about customer experience. read more

Literally the worst. I was in line and it was 12:29 and there was nobody else behind me and they told me they wouldn't serve me. They wouldn't get me my prescription because they were closing for lunch. Seriously it would take one minute to get me my prescription and there was nobody else there. It was ridiculous. Rude staff here. I pressed the button for assistance once to get a locked item and waited right next to the product I needed. Then I hear a staff member a few aisles over talking to someone that said they didn't press the button. She comments back "That's the problem...they keep pressing the button but then they hide." I called over that I pressed it once and I haven't moved spots. She said she passed by and didn't see me. I mean I'm 5'9" and didn't move so not sure where her eyes were landing but sure wasn't in my direction. Then she had an attitude. I made a vaccine appointment an hour in advance. My vaccine was administered shortly after I arrived and the Pharmacist was very kind. In the short time I waited, I heard a woman yelling at the staff and berating them. The staff members remained professional. We all NEED pharmacists and support staff!!! They need better job training, on how to speak to people on the counter. The young girl that was there that assisted me she obviously needs classes on how to speak to people. She's ill equipped to handle the counter, she did not know what she was saying, just telling it's out of stock and go over there, with an unprofessional manner I had to tell her to talk to me in a professional manner. I should not have to tell your Employees to do these things, on how to properly carry themselves when they're at work. Train your people better. she's just telling me this while I'm in excruciating pain. I almost lost it on her really. I was told to come back on this day and pick it up. 24 to 35 people were helped before me. And i was there hours before them, what a slap in the face. Avoid this particular franchise if you need any actual help. Went to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy, the pharmacist, who was very annoyed, informed me they didn't have the product. I asked them if possibly any other CVS would have it in stock, she said no, didn't even offer to call down the street. I went to the CVS in the marina and they partially filled my prescription and ordered me more that I would need in the coming month. My partner went in there asking for help for a sunscreen that wouldn't turn her face white, and came home with... a sunscreen that turned our face white. There are plenty of pharmacies and drug stores around. Avoid if you can. read more

I have been a CVS customer for decades. I have been a CVS pharmacy customer at the Mar Vista location for over 13 years, but the service has deteriorated so badly that I can no longer recommend this location. The pharmacy is consistently disorganized, prescriptions are not ready when promised, mixed, incorrect messages on the CVS app, and staff often appear overwhelmed and dismissive. These repeated issues have caused me unnecessary stress, delays in getting critical medications, and wasted time waiting in line for hours. CVS Mar Vista used to be a reliable pharmacy, but in recent years, specifically the past five months, the quality of service has completely collapsed. Despite repeatedly requesting non-childproof caps for my prescriptions, CVS continues to give me childproof bottles. I suffer from severe arthritis, and these caps are nearly impossible for me to open. After multiple requests, it's clear that CVS is either not listening or not taking my needs seriously. Furthermore, I am extremely disappointed with the pharmacist (NOT ELAINE) at this CVS who provided me with incorrect information about my prescription. I was told that there is a shortage of Percocet 10 mg and the pharmacist blamed it on the manufacturer, when in fact, according to Costco, there is no such thing as a shortage of Percocet. Pharmacists are supposed to be a trusted source for accurate medical guidance, and instead of clarity, I was left stressed and confused, and had to verify the correct information elsewhere. This level of negligence is unacceptable. Patients deserve competent, careful pharmacists they can rely on--something I did not experience with this specific pharmacist! After years of loyalty, I am switching to another pharmacy. CVS needs serious management changes before I could ever consider returning. read more

Diana got me to join CVS CarePass. I don't know if I'll be keeping it, but she was the first cashier to ever make an effort to explain this program to me, and she wasn't pushy at all. At the moment, I was in. She was honest in saying it has a $5 monthly fee, and she also provided the information of what it was about on a flyer, including a number to call if I do decide to cancel. Truth is, I usually use self-checkout (which I believe they don't have here) so Diana was a very pleasant employee to work with! read more

This CVS is in a little strip mall in Mar Vista. Parking is easy and free. The store is very clean and the staff is nice. I was here to get the Covid booster shot. They were ready for me right at my appointment time. It did not take long at all and everything was set up. I did not see anyone not wearing a mask and all the staff was wearing masks as required by law here. While I was there, I thought I would shop. They have a great selection. I was able to get those little travel items you may want for a To Go bag which I carry in my trunk. They have so much candy and cookies. The wait to check out was not at all long and the person checking us out was super nice. I will be back to this one. read more

This is regarding their bathroom which was really the worst I've experienced in a long time. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. There was no TP in the stalls, the floor inside the stall had some type of liquid on the floor, and there was literally an entire industrial roll of TP on the floor. Not only that but you had to walk upstairs which made them inaccessible to anyone with mobility issues. I was there at the pharmacy with my 92 year old father and fortunately it was only me that had to use the restroom. read more

The pharmacy tech who helped me today was lovely and amazing but cvs allowing that level of construction going on where the pharmacy used to be during business hours is absolutely insane. The noise level was unbearable. No one can even hear each other. And those poor workers better be getting hazard pay. In addition to the noise at 9am on a Thursday, the containment for the construction was so bad. It is not fully sealed and not containing the dust and construction debris. I feel so bad for the workers there or people going to CVS to pick up rx's who might have compromised immune systems bc that construction dust can cause infections. (My job is making sure construction/renovation at a major hospital does not impact patient care so not pulling this out of my ass or trying to be a Karen; this is not good on multiple levels). read more

This CVS facility has no meaningful management. Every time I visited this store, I was overwhelmed by the large crowds each time. I was but one of many customers who had to wait in long lines. Moreover, there is no one in the huge store who is available to help find a specific product. A customer must hunt through the store, and maybe the wanted item can be found. I think that store overcrowding is partly due to no one answering the telephone when ordering a refill or looking for information concerning prescriptions or other items. When calling the store, a customer must attempt to communicate with a computerized voice that incorrectly responds to incoming calls. In summary, the store is overcrowded, there is no apparent customer service, and there is no human to answer telephone calls to the pharmacy. The automated telephone message tells the customer to leave a message and that someone from the store will return their call. Over time, I have left messages, but never received a return call from this unusual CVS. read more

I came to this CVS right now and it's closed, I understand if it's a restaurant and they need time to clean up but it's a convenience store. I did not come 10 min before...I came 35 min before close. It's a huge store and one of the biggest in the area, yet it doesn't have self checkout and often has 1 person at the register helping a line of 10-15 people while other employees wander around looking lost. Not sure why they have so many poor reviews but we had no problems the few times we shopped here. The store is a bit crowded but we've always been able to find what we want. It is a popular store so often there are lines. The clerks work pretty fast and I've seen them open up more cashier stations when the line gets long. Parking is a problem as they are next to Mitsuwa, which is super popular with a food court inside. Other than that I think it's a good store. read more

RUDE STAFF + AWFUL SERVICE DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU NEED A CARD PRINTED! Apologies as I go semi-Karen here with my review, but people should know: This location was listed as one of the places that had a guaranteed same-day pickup. So after placing an INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT order under the expectation that I could pick it up that same day, the CVS website told me my order would be ready at 1:05 pm. Knowing it was a Saturday, I figured I'd give them at least an hour extra to have the card printed -- and so I arrive much later and inform the staff that I'm here to pick up my personalized greeting card. Only then do they tell me that the printer isn't working, and then the worker unnecessarily gets all rude and snarky by saying it was my fault for not calling in. How about you take one of these common sense solutions: 1) Update your website and say that your printer is broken 2) If you don't want to update your website, call the customers immediately after they place their order online & let them know that the printer isn't working. * Seems pretty easy since CVS website asks customers to put their callback number on orders anyway. 3) If you can't do either of those realistic things, don't make it out to be the customer's fault & be rude about it to reasonably unhappy customers who are trying to respectfully ask where they can go to get the order fulfilled. So yeah. This was unfortunate. But what made it even more unfortunate was the rude staff. I guess I might have gone full Karen. Sorry for that, but at the same time -- not really sorry. The test was a drive thru DIY. Today is jul 11 and we STILL DO NOT HAVE RESULTS! CVS can't be reached and while the current surge in cases justifies a delay, the site now say 5-7 days. If you call and get thru after 2 hours on hold, they will tell you that doesn't include weekends or holidays. By all means, DO NOT trust CVS with your important COVID testing. read more

I ordered a photo that was supposed to be printed within an hour. 2 hours later I came in and it hadn't been printed. I waited in line and they assured me it would be ready in 10 minutes. Half an hour later someone else told me they couldn't print it at all. Bring your business to a pharmacy that is respectful of your time. read more

Actually the store really sucks, and the extremely low quality merchandise/garbage sells for extremely high prices. The fan I bought there still smells like chemicals, I can't even use it. Why can't some of these industrial retailers stock good merchandise? Total miserable stuff for sale. Nothing lasts there. Can't but a decent razor there, a toothpick or even soap! = 0/5 stars!!!! But, however, the pharmacy seriously is the best ever. I am not kidding. They do an excellent service there in the Rx Dept. They text me when things are ready, which is cool, and the staff there is next to none in my opinion.They are easy to deal with for an Rx. Agree with the comment about Nguyen below - impatient, interrupted me before I finished my question and then gave an "up to you" non answer. She's not the only rude pharmacist encounter I've had when calling in to do their job regarding my prior authorizations. There's no accountability nor is there a desire to truly help. Probably the worst CVS I've ever been to. I've been several times and it seems they are always out of the item I need (which are usually basic hygiene or over-the-counter meds). When I ask for assistance, the staff are either rude or no one comes to assist at all. I've left empty handed at least three times for this reason. And for some reason, there is always a long line to checkout -- which moves unnaturally slow. I'd rather drive an extra 10 minutes to a different location than waste my time here. Obviously the pharmacy doesn't check who get what! As long as you know the name and dob they don't even question you. They claim to have all these policies but don't actually check. On the other hand, I have pick up meds for family members multiple times without needing their is. I honestly think he just didn't want to give me.. i wonder why?!
