Stopped by CVS because my wife needed to pick up a few things for our daughter, who had a sore throat. The store was very clean and well organized. They already had the Valentine's Day stuff out nice and early, which was fun to see. The staff were friendly. I asked one guy how his day was going and he said, "Great, I get off in half an hour," which made me laugh. Little human moments like that make errands better. Overall, a nice, clean CVS with friendly people. In my head it is about a 4.2, but on here I am giving them 4 stars. read more

Arrived at the store at 7:00 AM trying to get help me and three other customers the manager was basically no help like find it yourself. I couldn't get into the cabinet to see the count of the product because it was locked. She basically didn't give me any help. AVOID AT ALL COST!! Male employee refused to give me his name after harassing multiple customers. He kept harassing me at self check out so I asked to speak to his manager which wasn't much of a help either. His Supervisor "Kim R." refused to give me his name after harassing me so I ask to please speak to someone above her and proceeded to curse at me as I took a picture of her employee and her next. She proceeded to flip me the middle finger and call the police with a fake report of me hitting them. I waited 20 minutes to speak with the police and they never showed up. Clearly their report was false or she faked being on the phone with the police which is a crime. Don't bother calling because they never pick up the phone no matter how long you wait on the line! My husband just called me very happy that he went to get his medication and Bruce the pharmacist was so helpful and caring. I was at home recovering from a knee surgery that I had yesterday so he didn't want to be out very long and when he had to go back in line, the pharmacist came over so that he didn't have to wait in the line twice. This is the worst CVS they are always understaffed and medications are almost never available. Pending who you get they may have horrid attitudes. Management needs to hire more people to handle the volume of customers. Obviously they have 2 stars for a reason. Please hire enough staff. read more

While I applaud CVS for implementing a "Mobile" line, their management of said line has been poor. They promote using the Mobile App as a way to "skip the line", but the wait is often as long as the non-mobile line. Some suggestions for improvement: 1) Prioritize people waiting in the mobile line (ALL/MOST REGISTERS should take people in the mobile line before anyone in the "regular" line). 2) Put up better signage. State that one must have the mobile app already installed and have a barcode ready for scanning. Anyone who doesn't should be sent to the regular line. 3) Better training. Make sure all representatives are instructed to follow #1 & #2. By doing so, CVS would move "easier" transactions more quickly and would incent more people to download and manage prescriptions on the app. read more

Terrible customer service! After calling in an order for an allergic reaction, I walked into the CVS and spoke to the pharmacist, who gave me the wait time for completion. However, after the pharmacist asked the pharmacy tech to help finish the order, he had the nastiest attitude. I have been a loyal customer at this CVS for nearly 10 years. I live in the neighborhood and have walked over to this store countless times. I rely on this location for my prescriptions and essentials. Unfortunately, I have had repeated negative interactions with one specific shift manager. On two separate late-night visits, she refused transactions that every other cashier and pharmacist at this store has always allowed. She raised her voice, spoke over me, mocked me in front of other customers, and escalated a simple situation unnecessarily. During the most recent incident, when I calmly asked for her name so I could file a complaint, she refused and walked away. I am currently navigating unemployment due to a disability, and I depend on this location. Every other employee here has always been kind, professional, and helpful -- this review is specifically about one manager whose conduct has been consistently unprofessional. I would give zero stars if I could. I just picked up a medication that was almost $1000 and is defective. When I took it back to CVS the pharmacist was very rude and told me to contact the manufacturer. I need the medication immediately and nobody there cared. They do not answer phones, so when they mess up your order, you cannot get through to them. Avoid this pharmacy. Phones are simply disconnected variably at 5 to 25 minutes of holding. Routine refill, but they could not handle it. read more

One Might wonder~How I got myself here this recent past Summer/2024 to an unlikely town of a super upscale Beach City such as 'Marina Del Rey,' Los Angeles, CA., from upscale regions of Los Angeles, CA.?! Cutting to the chase~I was visiting 1 of their many neighborhood businesses within the same plaza called, 'StarBird Chicken,' when I fortunately uncovered 'CVS Pharmacy,' in the same exact plaza. Lo and behold, it was so close I walked over. I was in dire need of buying souvenirs from here because Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles, CA., is one of our famed upscale beach cities here. So I had to stock up. Souvenirs I bought were: Post cards, Marina Del Rey keychains, Magnets, A Friends' TV Show styled mug....and More stuff.... I will return here for attaching more pics for reference here from what I bought to support them. I will most likely return in the near future. Customer Service~5/5~the staff lady who was assisting us at self check out stations were extremely helpful, efficient, and friendly. Parking~5/5~free and easy from plaza parking. This place is better than any other in the area. The pharmacist was incredibly helpful after another CVS store didn't care to fill my prescription because they didn't have the product, didn't care to get it and didn't feel like calling another store. These guys went out of their way to see if they even had the product despite it not showing up in their inventory, and were able to partially fill my prescription while ordering more for the rest of the month. read more

This CVS in the Marina would be great if the Pharmacy had a clue what they were doing. When you put in a script good luck to getting it when they say. They are always running out of things, that you sort of need to live. They don't text when something is ready and they confuse the Minute Clinic with the Pharmacy. I just got two shots there and they had a hard time finding the paperwork we did on line and it had to be done again. It was a wait and I was not happy with all the confusion. First of all, thank you to all the ladies and gentleman who sacrifice time with family/friends to work, especially on Holidays. While I had a lovely Christmas Eve meal, I suddenly fell ill after the meal (note, I was the only one who became ill in my group). I won't go into all the details, but I called the Nurse's hotline and was advised to stay hydrated and eat soft starchy foods like saltine crackers. I didn't feel well all night, and somehow managed to drive to this location to purchase unflavored pedialyte and saltine crackers. Tom, who has worked at this location for years, helped me quickly find what I was looking for and checked me out. After visiting this CVS and getting what I needed to recover, I was able to sleep for about 8 hours on Christmas Day and feel well enough to make it to dinner on Christmas Day, though I remained cautious about what I ordered. The store is clean, well-organized and operated efficiently. The parking lot is free and provides easy access to the store. I am grateful for Tom and the staff at this location for going out of their way to ensure customers get the help they need and leave feeling satisfied. I hate to give a bad review because I have had other good experiences here at the drop-off window. The Indian lady was extremely helpful the first time I went there. However, the last couple times this is what I have seen: 1. Claiming insurance won't cover continuous glucose monitor, that I had to go through Medi-Cal B. We'll, we had no problem at Torrance CVS. 2. The line for pickup is disorganized. People walk in front of you. 3. Finally, there is one Asian lady that seems to lose her patience. In a nutshell I bought a 200.00 gift card for Lulu Lemon at Marina del Rey CVS, when the person went to use it, it was empty. CVS refused to refund my money. The pharmacy seems understaffed at this CVS. There was a line for both drop off and pick up and both were moving very slowly. The staff behind the counter looked to be working diligently but there just weren't enough employees for the amount of customers, I would say the wait in line took at least 30 mins. They dropped the ball on my pick up. Waited In pain for 3 hours for a picked up! 1 star the girl behind the glass that was thin, was very unprofessional, she just shoed me off, ya just go over there to the left somewhere, and they will help u, we'll we don't have it in stock, wait what. Lady told me she didn't know, you're a liar. You did know, and you told me to wait and you would call my name. Which you never did and where never gonna do " Your are wrong for doing that to me" You should be ashamed of yourself, but I know you're not, You never called my name and i sat there and watched me for three hours. Only when I approached the counter and told him hey, I've been waiting here for hours on end, then they were like oh we'll see and they got it ready. Incompetence of this place is just astonishing. The pharmacy during the day sucks. I arrived at about 4pm on Friday. My doctor called in a refill while we were in his office earlier in the day. I get here to CVS and not only were they rude but they said they never received it. I would need to have them speak to the female Pharmacist . I called the doctors office after hours and spoke to them there. They said they would call it again. They called twice and no one answered. I hear the phone ringing but no one is answering. They don't answer the phones there. My doctors office was kind enough to call me back to let me know. I took the phone over with the doctors office on line and asked for the pharmacist, she refused. Sent me to check in to talk to the tech. The tech refused because it was over the phone on my phone knowing that they don't answer their phones. They also knew we were out of pills for 8 days and needed them.. They wanted the doctors office to call back again and leave a message. Now what this tells me is that they are incompetent and shouldn't be in this line of work. You've just proven that our time and the doctors time is not important. I am in the middle of hour two sitting here by the way... This review is only on the Pharmacy for today with the young female Pharmacist and her drop off staff. There is another pharmacist that works the middle of night that is great. They should switch them around. Customers shouldn't have to deal with that. AND you don't get to change the rules to cover up you make up as you go along when you get called out. I know my doctor has called prescriptions in for refill before and they didn't have a problem. I am not new to pharmacies and prescriptions. It is obviously THIS staff. I actually really like this CVS and I think it may be my favorite in Los Angeles. They are always fully stocked (I do a lot of couponing and they never let me down) and their makeup section is especially ample and full. I mostly do order pick up and the staff here is always helpful and friendly, no matter who I get. I've even used their minute clinic for a TB test and it was easy and inexpensive and I was able to walk away with all the paperwork I needed. My only complaint is that the parking lot seems to always be full but I eventually find parking. Maybe it's the time of day that I'm stopping by? (Weekdays midday) but it's busy in the lot and not busy in the store. read more

If it would be 0 that what I would give this drug store. On August 03rd I purchased a Sephora gift certificate for 75.00 dollars. The person who had this certificate went on August 20th to Sephora but the representative at the cashier said that the card has 0 dollars no money and advice to go back where the gift certificate was purchased. I felt so terrible and went on Labor day to the CVS and asked to speak with the manager of the store that the card has no money and I have paid them 75.00 dollars. The Manager which never gave me his name the old me they are not responsible and I need to call the merchant in the back of the card which it is Sephora, Sephora asked me the code on the card and mentioned to me the card has,0 balance and I need to go back to the place the card was purchased. They should write a horror movie with this CVS location cast as the killer...because that's what the store does...it murders your time, patience and happiness. Every single time you go into the store, the line is 30+ people long and wraps around the store. I don't think it's the pharmacy staff's fault. They look like they're about to go postal from exhaustion and overwork (they're really sweet after you wait 15 hours to get to the front of the line). Complete incompetence! I used this pharmacy by mistake since it's the only one open 24 hours nearby. Wife needed emergency prescription at 3am. Doctor called it in, I called pharmacy they said it would be ready in 30 min, call back 30 min later they said system is down we aren't able to give out prescriptions right now, call back in 30 minutes. Never use this pharmacy, it's faster to drive 30 minutes farther away to get a prescription filled. read more
