This is review is for Shanna the pharmacist only. I have had good interactions from everyone else there. I previously thought that pharmacists chose their professions based on a drive to help people with their health, but this clearly is not the incentive for Shanna. Her delight at cutting me off and smugness in telling me with a self satisfied smirk that my "insurance just isn't good enough" to cover the $1350 for the 8 Ubrevly pills I needed, honestly caught me off guard and shook me up, as I haven't met such a malicious human in a long time. I came back several times on different days, hoping to avoid her and find the sweet man that also works there who understands how to help people even if they don't have the best insurance. read more

There's no way corporate knows about this place. The pharmacy is incredibly dysfunctional and always a joke. You should take a look at the lines in groups of people waiting around. And then they blame the customers or their insurance. Last time I was there. I was told their new hire quit after two weeks, as if it's my fault. read more

Pharmacist is rude. She filled my script from out of state last year and now refuses to for one month while I'm in treatment. Very unhelpful. Don't recommend sending your prescriptions here. Thankfully another CVS is helping me. read more

This CVS branch is super convenient to get to, with plenty of parking all around. They always have tons of great deals and fun, unique items, I love browsing here! The Malibu location has some cool, exclusive merchandise like T-shirts and hats, which makes it feel extra special. I have been a long-term resident of 40 years in Malibu CA. The team at this CVS have always been helpful and friendly. I am writing for the first time here because I had such a pleasant experience yesterday. CVS Malibu has a new "Beauty Consultant" - NORMAJEAN - who is fantastic. She was so helpful, friendly, patient and knowledgeable. In addition to helping me find the product for which I was looking, she introduced me to new items. She patiently showed me how to use them - even looking for me in the store when she found better options. After she was sure I knew how to use them, I was glad to add them to my shopping cart. I went to CVS Pharmacy and I asked them when I had my last covid vaccine. They told me the last one was a year ago so of course I got the latest version, only to come home, check the cvs records and find out I had one less than 6 months ago. They have put my health at risk with this lack of professionalism. It was a young man. Additionally, I also got a flu vaccine and more than 24 hours later it is not on their website so I had to add it to my record manually. please do not trust the record keeping of CVS at all. Nice pharmacist but I wonder if she should be the one pushing a shingles vaccine on me. This should be the job of a doctor. read more

The most unprofessional and inefficient staff I've ever encountered at a pharmacy. I've had chronic asthma my whole life and have been through hundreds of pharmacies in the 7 states and 5 countries i have lived in. This sets the bar for a new low. I would not recommend anybody who has an expectation of human decency or courtesy to attempt to do business here, nor would i recommend anyone with a prescription that is of important timing to be fulfilled here. I have lived in Malibu for 28 years and They refused me my medication because they believed i was lying about being local. When i presented them with a piece of mail proving my address they accused me of forging it. When i had my doctor contact them directly they hesitated to give their names for accountability and went on to insist that the information my doctors had was invalid and claimed that the DISTRIUCT ATTORNEY will take her license away if she filled my prescription. The Malibu store is one of the most depressing experiences in shopping and the pharmacy and its unaccommodating hours, long lines and long faces is something I try to avoid at almost any cost. Awful attitude at the cash registers and that big waste of paper in printing a roll of toilet paper to check out a few pieces of chewing gum. I am not the only one who has feelings of disgust. Now that I know how the pharmacy is run I would not return for a vaccine. I made an appointment and when I arrived the vaccine check in window was 'closed for lunch' before 11:15 a.m. The pharmacy has signage stating they close for lunch at 1:30 pm so why was the vaccine check in window closed? I was told to wait in another line behind others who were not there for vaccines and I would be helped "when they get off the phone." Why is CVS making vaccine appointments when you can't even check in for your appointment? While I stood there waiting (and waiting) I got a message from CVS telling me my appointment was cancelled, presumably because it was now past my appointment time and it looked as if I hadn't shown up. I finally left and will try to get my flu vaccine somewhere where you actually get acknowledged and checked in for your appointment. I don't need the aggravation of this poorly run pharmacy. read more

How can you give zero stars because that's what they deserve . The gentleman at the register helping people is so worried about his long line that he does not listen to the customers in front of him. He asked the same question about 20 times and still does not get it. I've been here three times and I still don't have my medicines now they're saying come back after 2 PM because they need to take lunch.. not the first time this happened. Customer service non existent. If you need service go elsewhere. Anytime I called for the smallest question I would wait on hold for 30 plus minutes. As I am writing this I already have been on hold for 32 minutes. There is a better pharmacy across the PCH and guess will take my business there. read more

Incompetent. Go elsewhere. Wasted a ton of my time today though nothing but sheer inability to do the job of filling a prescription. The staff had numerous tense arguments with each other as a result. It's a clown car, go to another pharmacy. Don't try to have any hormone related medications sent here. They won't order it and will continue to tell you it's being ordered. Prescription was due for refill 8/19 and almost two weeks later it's "on hold". Tried to move it to the CVS on Kanan Rd in Agoura and now it says it can't be filled til November, as if it was actually filled on 8/19 which it was not. Best case scenario is comical incompetence, worst case is discrimination. read more

This pharmacy is the most disorganized pharmacy I've ever seen. The pharmacist incorrectly filled the prescription, and then claimed she didn't have the correct number of pills. The prescription had nothing to do with the quantity, but was in accurately filled . The pharmacist was no help and refused to correct the mistake. read more

The pharmacist went out of her way today to get a small dose of a prescription I had left at home, but needed immediately. She delayed her lunch and gave me her time, it was very thoughtful. Overall the store needs to be cheered up a bit, but every interaction I have had with the pharmacy has left me happy, and I have had to support a number of people medically recently so CVS has been a great resource- quick, professional and friendly. read more

They do not answer their phone for the life of them, the pharmacy put me on hold for over 30 minutes, never answering once. They are so rude, callous and cruel, they don't say hi thank you please or anything remotely polite. They have an unbelievably bad attitude and this is an unbelievably horrible CVS. I rarely have prescriptions filled and my husband happens to be a physician. Twice in the past year I needed something and both times he called the prescriptions directly to the pharmacy staff (in my presence). The first time I showed up a day later only to be told my doctor had never called. I had to interrupt his work day to have him call it again. I thought it was a fluke so didn't say much. Yesterday he called in and told them I was on my way to pick up since the med needed to be started same day and it was in the afternoon. By chance I got busy so he went himself a few hours later to pick up only to be told they didn't know what happened to the script so he needed to have the doctor call it again. He was of course able to take care of it real time. I shudder to think how many others have to deal with this and don't have such convenient access to their prescriber. These are literally the only two times I've filled a script anywhere. The company needs to improve their standards. read more

Called the pharmacy to ask about the Covid Vaccine today around 1pm. CVS website and CVS answering service both say walk ins are welcome however this particular location is by appointment only. You can call after 530pm to see if there is any vaccine left but walk ins are not welcome. It is by appointment only. I repeat by appointment only. I called to let the pharmacy know that the website and phone service both say the location does walk ins. Even when you call this location and are put on hold the store announcements say walk ins are welcome. The pharmacist got upset and started speaking to me in a very loud, condescending manner then kept contradicting herself. I asked her to please not get defensive and that I was just making her aware and she hung up on me. I'm no longer comfortable having my prescriptions filled here. Take your business elsewhere, it seems this pharmacy employees people with major anger issues. read more

I hope this review is worth the five dollars it cost me. I visited this cvs today to buy a $1.49 travel size toothpaste. The cashier rung this up for twice that price. I'm surprised I noticed. When they checked the price and realized they were wrong I waited for several minutes while several people were involved unable to handle this or return my money. The rude/unstable cashier clearly was unable to understand the transaction. After several more minutes I left, leaving the $5 bill I paid with behind, and without any product, as a penalty for walking into that store. read more

Sunali Shaw refused to take a call to verify my prescription from my doctor. She also refused to call him because she was too busy. I have been a customer for almost a year at this location and I'm appalled by this treatment. How and why can this woman refuse a prescription I get monthly at cvs?when I asked her the reason she said I don't need to tell you why... I'm flabbergasted by a statement so vague and unprofessional. The manager couldn't even understand the reason why Sunali was so rude and unhelpful. My doctors office is across the street and the only thing that we can deduce from this treatment is that she has a personal grudge with my doctor. I left feeling awful and discriminated against. I'm taking my business somewhere else from here on out. Sunali Shaw shouldn't be working in the health field as she is putting patients lives at risk refusing to fill prescriptions because she's too busy.
