I have had three unpleasant experiences and I not sure why. I suffer from a thyroid condition and a compounded formula works better than the standard replacement. The problem I have run into is that they do not have my prescription ready when promised. I go there or my wife and they don't have my order. The reasons range from they are out of the material, they gave my pills to someone else because I did not show up on time or I have to come back later. I pay them directly, so they do not bill my medical plan. I am trying to find a way to resolve this issue. Unlike other pharmacies you keep your own Calendar to re-order. There are few compounding pharmacies around. Most are online and by mail. This location is great, the front desk people are nice, and they turn out a great product. It just seems to happen every so often. A couple of times I have had to raise a stink to get a few pills to tide me over until they filled my order, as I only have a day or two cushion. I have discussed the experiences with my doctor and I w After a conversation with pharmacist I think we were able to reach a solution that may work. Sometimes conversation helps the overall experience. We shall see. Recently, I went to exercise my right to get reimbursement from our healthcare provider. I sent them bills, documents and other requested information. They then came back and requested more data. This time they had to have specifics that the Pharmacist could only provide. Well people at the Pharmacy and the Pharmacist went above and beyond to help me. I have become very impressed with their professional assistance and I am confident that our earlier experiences were just fluke experiences caused by some miss communication. Well it has been some time since my first experiences. They have only improved. Some new people and I must say they try very hard. They also proffer good advice. I literally don't know what to say about the old short women who works the front desk here she's insane and VERY RUDE! This pharmacy was recommended so I drove over while I had a babysitter for a short amount of time. When I walked in I explained that my husband cleaned my car and took out my masks and asked to buy some from her but before I could get it out she started SCREAMING at me about how there is a sign on the door and I should be wearing one. I then started to tell her again that I would buy one. She kept screaming at me, what a psychopath! Unfortunately I didn't have time to go to another pharmacy because my baby sitter was waiting and after being screamed at for 10 minutes as she walked back and fourth. I asked her to calm down and lower her voice and she then said "you lower your voice" I literally have no words for how this women treated me today and I will he contacting the store owner. Go to pharmaca, they're very busy but at least they don't treat you like absolute shit and scream at you. read more

Worst customer service. When I decided to not buy something besides the prescription woman at cashier slams her hand down on table visibly upset. You can easily tell the pharmacist (spoke on the phone about confirming my address) and cashier have poor attitudes. Hope to transfer my prescription. read more

The African American pharmacist is just the most unfriendly, rude person ever. It's too bad she chose to be a pharmacist because she has ZERO bedside manner. If she hates her job and her profession so much go do something else and leave the opening for someone who cares and really wants to help. I had 3 new prescriptions for a new doctor. I chose to wait for them. She knew I was waiting for them. After wasting about 30 minutes of my day, I asked her if they were ready. She bitchly responded that my insurance didn't pay for the new medicine and they wouldn't be available for over 72 hours. SERIOUSLY!!! She couldn't have told me that 25 minutes earlier. I really want to like this pharmacy because it's close and it's a small business and the pharmacists are nice but it is very difficult because there's one woman who seems to run the place that is always working the register who is an extremely "difficult personality"! You know what I mean! It is almost like an SNL skit - When I go in and ask her for my prescription, she gives me the third degree. Why? I have no idea. It is just her personality! She is very rude but like a weird rude. All I can do is laugh but in reality, when you are sick and just want to buy your medicine, it's super annoying and when circumstances are dire (like now), it is beyond frustrating. Yesterday, for instance, I went to get an antibiotic for my elderly mother and she slammed the door in my face and said, "You are early!" I wasn't given a time. I called at 9 am and it was 1 PM. I didn't know if she was even coming back to the door. I had to call the pharmacists from my car and ask if I should go home and come back. I mean???!!!!............ good luck to you if you go! My wife and I have been using Palisades Compounding Pharmacy for years, for both compounded and regular prescriptions. Gina at the front desk and the pharmacy staff have always been super-helpful in tracking down doctors to get refills. Although the store has a small footprint, they have a good selection of products. We have used all the pharmacies in the Palisades neighborhood and none have more attentive, personalized service. We never experienced some of the service challenges related by a couple of other reviewers. read more

I was given a wrong a wrong prescription in an incorrectly labeled tube. Unpleasant symptoms were confirmed by a routine test. After my physician contacted the pharmacy I thought I would get an apology and refund at least, but did not. I've been using this pharmacy for at least 8 years and I have had nothing but great experiences. Where do I start; (I'm really bad with names) The lady who works the register (Gina) and does a million other things. She can't do enough to help you. If you ask her about a supplement she's on it. Anything you need she helps you find it and explains why it's the best one (and it's not the most expensive one) It's simply the best one. Ok, I have no idea how to spell her name but it sounds like "Hellya" She is amazing, AMAZING. She is so professional and if I call ahead my prescriptions are always ready. And SHOTS, so crazy but I barely feel them. She's very kind and careful not to hurt me. If I'm upset about something (which I often am) like bad news about an upcoming surgery or how difficult the constant pain is, she always listens with compassion and i feel genuinely cared about. EVERYONE is kind and helpful. Netta had a baby so I haven't seen her recently, but she and her husband , Shawn, Have always gone out of their way to be helpful. I had 5 surgeries in the past 4-5 years so I used this pharmacy ALOT. I could go on but when it comes down to it I have never had the good fortune to do business with a pharmacy that truly cares and always takes the extra step to be sure their customers are well taken care of . (If I can't make it until 5 minutes after closing someone will wait for me, Staff has gone out of their way to drop off y medicine when I wasn't able to drive there.) Needless to say I am impressed and I am a loyal customer and I especially would be upset if "hellya" or Gina or Manny etc. were to go work elsewhere. I've been going to this pharmacy for years. Drs. Shawn and Neta Soroudi are consummate professionals. There have been times when I have called them in a panic, asking a million questions, yet no matter what they devote their undivided attention to me and stay with me until the issue is resolved. I referred my mom and sister-in-law to Palisades Pharmacy as well for some compounded drugs and they too were extremely pleased. This place feels like a home-grown, family operation where customers are given personalized attention (unlike, say, Rite-Aid where you feel like a drop in the ocean). I recently transferred my prescriptions form Rite Aid Pharmacy and did not realize service like I received at Palisades Compounding Pharmacy was possible. Their quick and efficient customer service is unlike any other pharmacy. They always have every medication that i need in stock and they fill my prescriptions within minutes. Today I went to Palisades Compounding Pharmacy for a Tdap vaccine. First of all, no one offered to run it through my insurance which I later found out from CVS it could be done and it would be free. Moreover, the pharmacist (apparently the owner) without cleansing my skin, stabbed the needle into my deltoid so hard and without warning that I almost fainted; I was bleeding and I was not offered a bandaid, gauze or anything -I asked for an ice pack because it was so unusually painful. This practitioner's technique was so poor that I will not be back. I did buy a great lip gloss there but next time I will find it on Amazon or on-line. read more

They accept all insurance plans and compound anything you are prescribed, even vet meds! Their prices are always cheaper for my cats medications than what the vet clinic charges. I decided to try this pharmacy as it is closer to my home than my usual one. Big mistake! I dropped off my prescription and was advised to return the following day as my medication needed to be ordered. When I did just that, a young male pharmacist said my insurance doesn't cover the cost of my medication (btw I take the generic version). So I called my insurance and was informed that I was covered. The pharmacist spent the remaining of my time there speaking to another customer over the phone. When I finally managed to get his attention and was able to confirm I do have coverage he insisted that my insurance company would not disclose to me that they don't cover the cost??? So I offered to pay the difference and then he returned to the phone and said he needed to speak to his boss to confirm the actual amount. I told him I could not wait any longer as I had to leave to pick up my child from school. He advised he would call me. He never did and when I went back to pay for my medication, which was ordered for me, it had been dispensed to another customer. This is extremely unprofessional and a huge waste of my time and energy. Save yourselves the hassle. There are many pharmacies with great work ethic and customer service in the area. read more

The pharmacist, Shawn has always been a great customer service oriented person. But, today was a really challenging day with his "wife". I have been getting my prescriptions filled by him for over 7 years but today I must look for elsewhere to go. I got a call, after I sent the fax as usual to fill my prescription, a women calls me and tells me where do I want to have my prescription sent, I told her it was indicated on the fax, she said prices went up, I said okay. She said they would send out to the address. I get a slip on my door that I needed signature required for this company to deliver product. I call and I find out it's my prescription, again never have had them require a signature. I do work so I am not at home. I call the Pharmacy and I want to talk to Shawn, the woman refuses to let me get in contact with Shawn and when I ask her for, the third time, what her name is she says she is Shawn's wife, I start to explain to her that I have never had my prescription sent to me with a required signature since I work but before I can finish she interrupts me and so I ask her to let me finish talking, she tells me she is going to put me on hold, because I am being rude. Wow. Well, I am going to miss Shawn because he has been a good and loyal pharmacist, but to be talked to like this after all the years I have spent buying my prescriptions from him, regardless of who she is, she has no right to talk to a customer in this manner. This was my favorite pharmacy... while Neta was there. I can't tell you how many prescriptions of mine this pharmacy fills but I switched everything to them because I wanted something more discreet due to my health issues. Since the switch, it's almost as if I've become more of a burden than anything. I literally just pulled up at 6:59pm (I've been moving and I needed a medication that they know you can't skip) to a dark pharmacy and them running to their cars not even wanting to respond to "what time do you open tomorrow?." Even though I live further, I wanted to stick with this pharmacy. Gina is always helpful! I will say that. One of the pharmacists- dark hair but don't know her name because she's so unfriendly actually hung up on me and my insurance company after days of trying to get a very much needed medication- she later said the people in the store came before those on the phone. I get a minimum of 12 medications filled per month due to my health problems. The fact that they just ran when I pulled up did more than upset me. I hope this service improves soon. I recently went to the store in Beverly Hills because I had a dr there and the girl was super nice and remembered my name and everything. I can't believe I just rushed over here during rush hour to have a door almost shut in my face while I have a bottle of medication waiting for me. Without it, I could have seizures and other side effects. I shouldn't have to tell a pharmacist that. I really hope they start respecting the people who bring them business. I used to really love this pharmacy. Most of the employees are really friendly, helpful and courteous. A recent visit to my doctor's office, a dosage was discovered to be incorrect. While my doctor was investigating where the mistake was, he called a new prescription into Palisades. When I called to see if the prescription was ready, Netta (or Netti) picked up the phone and when I inquired as to what the new dosage was, and that there had been a mistake somewhere in the past, she immediately ripped into me, was extremely rude, condescending and yelling at me. I tried to respond to her but each time she cut me off, then she would put me on hold for long stretches of time. After she was done yelling at me. I tried to speak and she said, "I needed to stop yelling at her or she was going to hang up." I asked her if she was saying that for the benefit of those around her to cover her own obnoxious, rude behavior. I asked her for an apology and that I had never been spoken to in such a way. Before I could finish two words, she hung up on me. I believe she may be Shawn's wife since another yelp review complained of a similar problem. I really liked the pharmacy, but will never go in there again due to her unwarranted, extremely rude behavior. If Shawn is her husband and they own this pharmacy, it's mind-boggling to me how she can talk to customers they way she does. She's one angry woman. read more
