This place used to be staffed with friendly people who stayed out of your way and treated you with some degree of courtesy. Now, it's staffed with rats who lock items away based on which type of community purchases it. For example, all the kinky hair products are locked away, while the expensive products for straight hair remain unlocked. This is relatively recent. I also had a customer service representative follow me -a tall, ugly man- who smiled when I noticed him. It infuriated me! I never had that happen to me since I have been at that particular CVS, and I have been in the neighbor for over a decade. Unfortunately, I believe it's time to take my business elsewhere. I'm not sure what's going on with the CVS in my area, all of them. But this store in particular has items with wrong sales prices. Lots of them including liquor. Yet the won't honor it. No problem we'll make sure the correct sales price is posted. How hard is it to put the correct sales price on the correct item. Then who the cashier is, he acts as though it's his store and his money trying to convince the manager on duty not to make ANY adjustments. So clearly they have the ability to, its based on personal preference. The didn't honor the price and didn't offer anything to make for it. Clearly CVS has lost my business altogether. All the store are understaffed in this area, they always have items in the isles to be put away....tripping or falling hazards all over these stores. And it's not just one. I will say over the last 6 or 7 months the service and a professionalism at the pharmacy at the CVS on Overhill and Slauson has been excellent. Today I received my medicine and someone was so kind to write "Please feel better soon" on my package. I thought that was just so thoughtful and caring because the last crew that was there was not that. Lazy. Refuses to telephone doctor's office because the doctor office places them on hold. But yet when you telephone CVS Pharmacy you are always sent to voicemail message box and need to wait for the pharmacy to call you back, and then you're placed on hold. This is one sided service. read more

This is by far the worst pharmacy, they continue to be unreachable, they don't give options on communicate when simple things can be fixed due to insurance issues. This location is embarrassingly unclean. Let's start with the outside. What minimal landscaping the building has is totally covered in trash. The trash cans are overflowing. The parking areas, stairwell and elevator reek of urine. This is pure negligence. I realize there is a bus stop right in front of the building and I'm sure that doesn't help, but that isn't an excuse for things being dirty. It is a reason to put more effort into keeping things clean. Last year CVS had $357.8 billion in revenue and $8.3 billion in profits. Don't tell me there's no way to hire more workers or hire a janitorial and landscaping service. The condition of this property does not reflect the condition of adjacent businesses which all seem to have pride and responsibility. It sticks out like a sore thumb. This also doesn't not reflect the values of the neighborhood which is clean, safe and affluent. After my experience at this place today, I am also contacting corporate to complain. read more

Super understaffed CVS came on a Tuesday morning and aside from the pharmacist there was only ONE staff in the whole damn store. I needed to take passport pictures and I had to wait for the never ending cashier line to die down since she was manning everything it seems like. read more

Horrible service from the lead cashier basically I came to the store for feminine products grabbed the wrong kind and returned to exchange them 30 minutes later unopened with the receipt... She told me I can't exchange them and I would have to do a return I explained to her there exactly the same except for size and a simple exchange is fine she refused. I asked for the store manager she ignored me and proceeded to text on her phone while I'm having a feminine emergency. It's plain old ridiculous I left the ones I didn't want and took the ones I did she's out of control I will ad her picture and report her to corporate as a woman she is shameful. I have done an exchange with the store manager in the past no issue but it's alway a rude petty employee that ruins it for everyone they have 2 stars and I see why. WARNING!!! DO NOT ORDER YOUR PHOTOS FROM THIS LOCATION!!! This review is directed at the photo department, they SUCK this isn't the first time I have had issues with my photo orders here either. I placed an order for say day pick up, my conformation said they would be ready around 12pm I never received a "ready for pick up" email but going in to pick up around 6-7pm I figured they had to be ready...WRONG. Even the lady in front of me didn't get her photos. I don't know if the employees in that department are lazy or plain incompetent but looking over to see the large stack of photos just piled on top of each other waiting to be placed for pick up is very telling. It has been over a week and no phone call or email saying my order is ready. I ended up placing my order at another location and they were done and ready in 10-15 minutes. This place is the worst because of the customer service. The workers are very rude and have nasty attitudes like they take their problems out on the customers. She was professional and friendly and worked calmly to come up with a solution. I was impressed with her diligence. Highly recommend NOT purchasing gift cards from CVS. Due to their failure to load the cards bought as XMAS gifts I have now spent several hours trying to get resolved to no avail as CVS will not take ownership of the issue and are now asking that I jump through hoops with VISA to get resolved. If you are looking for a company that doesn't take responsibility for the products that they sell at their stores then this is the place for you. Due to this issue I will no longer be shopping at CVS (a place my wife and I frequently shop at). Apparently this doesn't matter to them as well due to the lack of follow through and resolution on this issue. Worst CVS Pharmacy in Los Angeles!!!!! Refuse to help with insurance, refuse to help with transferring prescriptions from one CVS in LA to theirs. I have the flu and they told me I could pick up two prescriptions at this location (but insurance wouldnt cover them because they weren't "pre authorized" and that I had to drive to ANOTHER CVS across town to pick up the other one because it was marked as "on hold." I started crying and she acted like I was crazy and refused to help me. She said that although every other CVS in the whole world is able to transfer between CVS locations, she didn't want to do it. Terrible, terrible service, no compassion for the sick. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Update: just called the other CVS on Venice and they said of course they could transfer all prescriptions to one CVS location and of course they were all covered by insurance. The pharmacist on duty at Slauson right now should be ashamed of herself! She is mean and lazy and unwilling to help the sick. She wants to make everyone else's life difficult so she can not do her job. She should be fired. read more

I will say that a customer with coupons and ready to give my money to a place of business should be allowed to so. Do not tell me that it's the systems fault. The one star is for the pharmacy assistant who tried to help me. The cashier is worthless, he told me someone would be with me in a few minutes. 15 minutes later he finally called for the manager, who told me that the item I was looking for was in a tote and they didn't have anyone to look through the tote. I don't know why I continue to come to this location. It's extremely disappointing that we cannot support some local businesses in our community and get the service that we deserve. read more
