I'm disabled and had to wait over 10min to get laundry soap and had to ring the service button various times, and it's not the 1 employees fault it's the store manager and area manager responsibility, after 10 min the store manager finally comes and opens for me, I got so frustrated and disappointed that I had more items I needed but I didn't want the prison guard to open the gate. I payed $100 for an Uber gift card that they did not activate for me. (Stores have to activate a card to put the money on it) When I went back with my receipt and credit card they refused to activate the card. Then they brought me the assistant manager instead of the store manager and told me that there's nothing they can de to remediate the situation. Treated me poorly and accused me of being a scammer. Sunday July 2, 2023 - 6:57 PM - Came to buy my girlfriend some lashes. No one is available so I reach out to the cute latina girl standing at the front door. I can tell she's having a miserable day so I was acting as kind and timid as possible so I don't get on her bad side. She goes to get the keys and then she can clearly see I'm in the first aisle where the lashes are but I see her walking past my aisle and then walks from opposite direction pretending like she couldn't find me. She looked dismayed and took a deep breath as she pulls out the lashes "Kiss Russian Volume" from the safety bar. She asks me to take it to the front. As I walk to the front my girlfriend on the phone says she does not want the Russian Volume, she wants the Kiss Teddy lashes, so I ask her my girlfriend didn't want those ones she wants a different one. She clearly heard me saying I need the other one, but goes into the counter area tosses the keys on something in a disrespectful manner and heads back to the front door. I head over to the aisle to see if I can get help from someone else but luckily there was a teddy already torn off the security bar. I take it to the front where the self check out is, as I was paying for the item, I told the young lady to be respectful and if she's having a bad day not to take it out on anyone else. She retaliated and said she wasn't mad with a smirk and started to get loud and we had a shouting match. A man with a bigger build seemed to be one of her co-workers walked away to the other side not wanting to be involved in the situation. You can tell this wasn't her first rodeo. We went back and forth and she told me to shut the f word up, and I told her to shut up. Don't fire this girl, she just needs better training because customer service is not for her. She should be home doing data entry or introvert type work. I won't be coming to this CVS. That young lady gave me high blood pressure over me trying to give CVS business. read more

This was an early morning trip to CVS and I was rushing because I needed to get back home to pick up youngest son so he could get to Kaiser for his yearly High School Football Physical. So while rushing I left my EXTRACARE CARD SAVINGS COUPON OF $8.00 ( I count every penny) So I explained to the cashier PAOLA that I had to hurry and get my Son to his appointment but I wanted the items I had and didn't have my coupons so PAOLA manually tried to put my number in and that didn't work. I politely asked her if she would hold all the items at the register until I returned in 2hrs because I wanted to get my coupons. When I say this young Lady PAOLA did exactly that. Worst. I used to love this cvs as I work at usc an it's so conveniently close. Paola Jessica Monica Brigido have always been so great to me , sadly I doubt I will be going back. I went into CVS to buy a couple of items right before going into work ( I go In at 6pm ) I got in line to pay there was only one customer ahead of me. There was one register open and it happened to be a couponer who was doing multiple transactions. Anthony, who is in management, opened a second register and took the customer in front of me then he told one of the other management team members to open a 3rd register and as she was about to call me over, he told her " she can wait, take the next customer" a part of me was in shock Anthony did that but another part of me wasn't because for some reason Every time I go into this cvs and Anthony is there I can tell by the way he looks at me and talks to me that he doesn't like me, why? I don't know. When Anthony finished with his customer he called the customer behind me next. Then as the 3rd register finished Anthony again told her to now take the next customer behind me when she asked why he said that I can wait til the "couponer" Finished her transactions then that cashier can take care of me. Long story short all customers behind me got rung and when I was the only one left Anthony told the other girl " ok now you can ring her up" the cashier apologized she has always been so sweet , I told her it's not your fault it's Anthony who for some reason doesn't like me but whatever I didn't want to make a scene only thing is that now I'm going to be late for work as I'm barely paying it's 6pm and I should be at work at 6pm. Well did not check in due to no parking, had son park no parking unti 6 pm ...I told him take off if meter maid comes. Well son spotted meter maid he took off, she gave 5 tickets, so I left my cell in the car. Okay, first you Yelper's know girl love any CVS, remmemer the 6 lip sticks on my last trip....lol So my first time in the most beautiful CVS any where, my mouth fell open as my eyes trolled this amazing location. I knew I would go out of my way to visit this store and look around every inch, I only came for drinking water. I was helped by a very "HANDSOME" young man his name badge said..Anthony! Ladies stop by buy something say Hey what's up Big Anthony....tell him Peach sent you! You know how much good customer service means to me, Anthony was very attentive, very professional and not badcon the eyes ladies.....he should model. I ordered a package here, got a notification it arrived and was told to come back two days later, they send the notifications early. The next couple of days I tried calling the store to check if my package was there only to be out on hold for 20 minutes, then someone finally picks up and hangs up. read more

Not the best to CVS. The location is not a very safe one, and there are a lot of crazy people walking in and out of the CVS and wondering the isles. Overall, it has pretty much everything that you need, and the security guard was able to help me locate what I was looking for. There definitely should be more registers open or employees working there to make it a better experience. I haven't had a negative experience with an employee though. read more

It seems a few reviewers don't recognize a good thing when they see it. I was getting sick and in need of some cold meds in a hurry. I happened to be in the University Village and decided to see if Superior had anything cheap. It turns out their cold meds are horribly over-priced so I drove on over to CVS -- as I've always had wonderful luck with their brand. Superior: 16 Nyquil tablets for $8.99 CVS: 44 Combo generic pack (22 Dayquil/22Nyquil equivalent) for $9.99 -- PLUS it was buy one get one half off. I got 88 tablets of cold meds for $15. Nobody will beat that. Also, I actually encountered Good service at the check out, and was easily taken care of for my parking validation. I've frequented this cvs location for the past four years, but it is honestly one of the worst staffed locations I've ever been to. The bad service that I've received on multiple visits there definitely warrant a 2 star rating... It is not that hard to at least pretend to care. The only reason this location gets 2 stars from me is because it is conveniently located and the easiest place to get photo prints/prescriptions filled in the area. However, this is only true because there are hardly any other places to get these done walking distance from USC. I've had a cashier walk away and leave me hanging mid-transaction and then act like I was being annoying because I asked for someone to complete it. The other cashiers looked around and acted clueless! I've had attitude coming from the pharmacy as well. I understand that it can get stressfully busy, but that is no excuse! Basic customer service skills are scarce here, so I wouldn't come in expecting much. read more

This Drugstore is the dirtiest place I've ever encountered. The sandwiches and salads sit on a shelf full of dirt. The place is unorganized and the service is slow and dysfunctional. The staff consists of a bunch of untrained hillbillies. The pharmacy is so slow that I fell asleep last time I waited for the staff to find my medicine. There is no wifi available, and most of the time if you need to call your doctor to confirm your order you have to run outside to make a phone call. There's a real pouty girl (covered in tats )who can't even open her mouth to greet you. She doesn't look at you once, and surprisingly can never find your meds. She should not be working in costumer service, but instead behind a room divider where she can hide her sour puss attitude, The pharmacy manager is the saving grace for the place. She's nice and professional. However, I'm not sure why she's employing such inadequate people. This CVS is located at a prime location and is buzzing with students. I can't believe that they don't bother to clean the store or to get the store cleaned up! read more

Several hours later, I attempted to go use the restroom at this store, but couldn't as they had a fraudulent "out of order" sign posted. I absolutley hate this place. I really wanted to love it I mean here a miniscule drive from my place was a Yogurtland, a CVS, and sushi coming up brand new, to make my purchasing life easier. Daily essentials a hassle free drive on my way from work late at night. But oh no my butterfly of a dream, was caught in the jagged net of corporate deception, and crushed upon a cruel capatalist wheel. Essentially the parking sucks. You get 45 minutes to park at CVS, when only 1 register possibly 2 are open at a time and a giant line forms for self checkout. Also the validation is set up so you have to wade through the sea of waiting humanity and cut in front to get your stamp. What if you accidently go over by a minute or decide to leave the moment you enter the lot? - $3 penalty. Some places do NOT validate like - Yogurtland, so our $8 of yogurt turned into a $13 parking fee because the machines refused my card and I had to scramble to Chase for a withdrawl (on the same card!). I've been dying to try Freebirds Burritos, but it's not f'n likely you'll catch me here again. My total costs for a 20 minute yogurt run: $8 - yogurt $13 parking $3 bank fee Total: $24 yogurt and no that doesn't come with a side of head. read more

Super convenient for USC students, it's only one block away from campus. They have lots of USC gear (apparel, shot glasses, and other trinkets). I come here quite frequently to grab their bottled water (one gallon for about $1), dark chocolate bars, and occasionally some cosmetic products. The great thing about CVS is their hassle-free return policy for beauty products (even if it's used!). Just bring your receipt, and you'll be refunded 100%. Oh, and they have a very extensive selection of alcohol, most of them on sale (yay!). This is random, but every time I walk over to CVS, there's this HUGE puff of nasty warm air coming out of the vent from their next door neighbor, Margarita Pizza Bar. I went to the pharmacy and asked for help obtaining something from the locked up products. The person at the counter said she would call someone..... 10 min later...I asked again. She said he would be there in a minute.... 5 min later I left. A girl near the front door asked if I had purchase anything since I asked for validation. When I told her I was waiting and no one helped me...she giggled and walked away. I don't think this is even a customer service issue...it was just rude. I try to avoid writing reviews below three stars. After the other day, I will also try to avoid going here I went to cvs because my headphones broke. I looked at the rack and saw a pair that was $15. I checked the price to make sure it wasn't for a cvs card only or it was an expired sale. It was the regular white price tag that I always see. I went to buy it but the person said it was $24. I told her to check again. It was still $24. I decided not to buy it. I can get cheaper headphones on amazon. I then went to buy the $10 ones, they were actually worth $15. I told this to the cashier. She didn't try to fix it. She didn't write it down for anyone who could fix it. . She just looked at me. Overall, before buying anything here, check and double check what the prices are. Not everyone buying items may catch it and may unexpectedly pay more than they planned on paying. For the large group of college students who go here, $5 or $10 is really important. This place gets two instead of one because it's convenient and has many products I need (even if the price tags don't match the actual price). Dont expect them to do anything about it either in my opinion. This place knows in my opinion they're the only cvs in the area. This is one of the most convenient places for anything you need around USC. They have a great selection on everything from cosmetic products to food to USC gear! Also, the pharmacy works really efficiently to get any prescriptions filled. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait and the express check out lanes are pretty slow, but its definitely faster than trekking to Target or Ralphs. It's also walking/biking distance from any USC housing, and there's free 45 minute parking if you need to drive. Overall, I spend a lot of time at CVS and can almost always get whatever I need here. read more

The ONLY redeeming quality of this CVS is the location. Being new to the state of California, I was in need of a new pharmacy and decided to transfer my prescriptions to CVS because it's convenient. The process of transferring my medications has been a huge pain in the butt. I've made five trips to the pharmacy over the course of the last week to refill ONE prescription. Each time there's something wrong; they couldn't contact my old pharmacy, the pharmacist was out on lunch so I had to come back, they couldn't accept my paper prescription because it was out of state... I understand, but it was INCREDIBLY inconvenient. The selection in the store was awful- low stock or sold out of many essentials I needed for my new apartment (garbage bags, hand soap, lotion). My first time in the store, I needed assistance and the only staff I could find on the floor was too busy chatting with her friends to offer any help. As mentioned in other reviews, the waiting line to check-out was incredibly long. After standing in line for ten minutes, a staff member offered to help me by checking out in the self-checkout registers. As soon as I put the basket down, she disappeared and left me to do it myself. Not the end of the world, but if I had known I would have just stayed in line and waited for the next cashier to open up. THEN I had to go to the parking lot and get my car. The man at the front gate had gotten in a fight with the parking lot attendant, causing a huge line of cars to form. By the time I actually got to the gate, my complimentary 45-minute CVS parking had expired and I was left to pay the $3 fee for missing my time stamp by 5 minutes. I was pissed. First time here. The parking structure is a bit odd but they offer up validation at the registers so don't park at the meters. They are overloaded with USC gear which makes sense as it's right by the University. They are smaller than most CVS stores but they had everything I needed and the girl at the check out was a doll! The other staffers were great too asking if I needed help finding anything. And I scored $8.50 more in reward bucks :) read more

SUPER convenient for USC students, especially for people living in Gateway since it is right downstairs. This CVS has everything so it really saves you from having to go all the way to Ralphs or another market. Since it's right next to USC the booze aisle is very well stocked so that's kind of funny. I like how they also have gift bags and wrapping paper which is really useful when you need to quickly dress up a present for someone. The people are pretty helpful but the only problem is that lines can get really long on the weekends when everyone is trying to buy alcohol. Plan ahead!! Buy your booze early and you will be fine. I'm so used to the disappointing CVS near me that this one knocked my socks off. GREAT experience. First, they had state of the art technology: a brand new scanner that had a door that closed all the way and read what I scanned instantly AND contained paper, plus there are SELF-SERVICE CHECK OUTS!!! Okay, I was a little shaken when the checkout computer talked to me - I kind of felt like Dave Bowman for a minute, seriously. I'm not one of those weirdos who believe computers are going to take over Earth a la the Matrix/Terminator, but my hair stood on end. But I'm from Long Beach, ie the boondocks. We don't have cool stuff like that here. Second, they have pretty much EVERYTHING. It's a bit snug area-wise but so much is crammed in. My CVS down here is MASSIVE but their selection sucks and they're always running out of stuff. I see a new product in a magazine and they won't have it for MONTHS - if ever. And God forbid I ask for a raincheck! One clerk down here scans my card to make sure I haven't bought the item I want already. Third, their staff is awesome! So friendly and polite! When I screwed up on the self-check out, the clerk was so nice and patient. When she couldn't override the computer, the manager took care of everything and didn't act all annoyed and condescending like they do down here in Long Beach. He was so warm and nice. I should have gotten his name. I need to mail in a complement on both the clerk and the manager. Fourth: it's so clean and tidy! I'm used to seeing - and smelling - the overflowing trash bins out front of the CVS near me. Nothing like that at this one. They even have a pretty iron bench for you to chill on out front in a nice setting. I was nonplussed when I got my stuff in a plastic bag. They got rid of those, too here. I love reusing those. This is a great location being right across the street from USC (and yogurt land) When ever I need some odds and ends this is the first place I go. You can park in the back for free if you get the 45 minute validation. They even have a neat little USC para section that has all of your tailgating and game day needs. The prices are fair for a CVS, obviously you will be paying less at Walmart, but we all know that if you can compete with Walmart's prices you have either sold your soul or you stole the goods your selling (In any order I'm sure). Come in grab your goodies, then head down the sidewalk for some fro-yo. win win if you ask me. read more

This store is RIDICULOUS. The employees are completely unqualified, lazy and rude. Why don't they just hire students? I tried to get photos and a photobook printed here that I ordered & designed online. Even though I got email confirmations, when I went in to get them twice, they said the printer was broken and they would be for SURE ready the next morning. Nope. I went for the third time tonight after getting another confirmation email saying the photo book was absolutely printed and "ready for pick up" at this location. When I told them they said they had never gotten a photo book in, and explained to me the process: printing, mailing etc. (duh?) in a really condescending way. She had the worst attitude, and even said "you can sit here and print out the pictures yourself if you want." Um, no. I designed a photobook, it's not just photos to be printed. Then when I asked her what I should do, she said "I'm sure there's a number in your confirmation email to call." AMAZING. Before this, the only convenience store near Fig and Jeff was Cal-Mart, and that's in a strip mall that gets amazingly sketchy at night. So there will probably be 5 less rapes a year, just because of this CVS. That said, the service at this CVS is hilariously piss-poor. I'll be forgiving and chalk it up to the fact that they just opened. But for example there rarely seems to be anyone manning the cash registers. This place must be a shoplifter's dream. If you want to pay for something here and can't use the automated machine, you can find yourself waiting around for a looong time for an actual human. But all this is immaterial when you think of what a convenience store black hole this area was before the CVS arrived. It gets stars based on the facts that 1) it's a lot cheaper than the pharmacy on campus, and 2) it's not as sketchy as the other pharmacies in the area However, there never seem to be enough ppl manning the registers, or walking around for assistance, and I'm not even sure what the people there do when they're not ringing up purchases... I like this CVS. It's close to campus, sells some USC souvenirs, has a self check out when lines get long and even has a small grocery section. It's a convenient place to go for toiletries or other miscellaneous items you may need. Parking has never been a problem for me since I can just walk or bike. However, there's meter parking right on the curb and also garage parking under Gateway. read more

Not a great place, not a horrible place. They have a lot of stuff you probably wouldn't find at a normal CVS like all of the USC gear(being right next to USC helps of course) and they have much more pre-made sandwhiches and soups, etc that I dont recall seeing at other ones. Prices are good on somethings, over-priced on others. They do have 4 or 5 self-checkout lanes which is awesome because it's normally two, but the counter help is so slow that everyone heads for the self-checkout and so now you have two overly long lines just to shop at a freaking CVS. I wish they'd realize they are on the doorstep of a major university and pretty much the only place like it within walking distance of USC aside from the shitastic Superi-OR grocery store, and get some more help, all day long. It's always busy in there and it needs staff. It is always clean when i've gone in there, so I give it props for that. read more
