CVS is one of my favorite places to go. The variety and prices vary by store; even if you don't believe me. I regularly shop CVS on the weekends for couponing; as it is the best of the pharmacies for good deals. Then again, if you aren't shopping the weekly ad, everything this is not on sale is way overpriced. This specific location was pretty small and congested. The food area left much to be desired, as did most of the other departments. Yes, the shelves seemed pretty fully stocked; however, selection and variety were lackluster. I also notice how prices differ per region, and while still realizing this is Lexington, I don't find it fair or appropriate for items to range at a higher price of fifty cents or even a dollar in some cases. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable; however, this location has much to do to improve and get better. And for the record, they need one of the newer ExtraCare Card machines (which, by the way, EVERYONE should either be plugging in their phone number or scanning their card at for coupons). The current machine is old and extremely slow with printing out coupons! Overall, it's okay for convenience, but from a choosy and experienced CVS customer, this is not one of the best / better locations. 3 stars. read more

Usually my experience is pretty fast in and out. Not today there wasn't any crying or anything like that but when I went to pay at the soft checkout and said hi to the half mentally capable girl who is always there and p. satisfied with how she's treated me over the last 6 months that I said hey I'm going to leave a Yelp review for you so I'd like your first name my first name is Billy. She then responds with CVS won't let us give out our names or information. She literally blamed CVS for not letting her tell me her name. So being a non moron that I am e store I just came out of within 30 seconds I was on the line with the store manager she said you have an issue? I said no not with a product at the soft check out the blonde girl who's always there and knows me very well coming there did a little easy thing and made my time go by quicker so I said I think I'm going to leave a really good deal for you can I have your first name only? Then I said my name is William but everyone calls me Billy. Her response was CVS does not allow us to give out any of our information any personal information including first names. I couldn't believe what I was hearing one and two then I realized she has a God damn name tag on. So me being asshole I am I turned around walked into the store I have a foot and said I just got off the phone with corporate and they are saying you mean any employee of CVS is allowed to give out whatever information you want. Way too small. Narrow aisles. Gets really crowded on weekdays. People try to helpful here but I would not get my prescriptions here unless I had to; too crowded. I think the people in the main part of the store and the pharmacists do the best they can but Lexington needs to find a new, larger location for a pharmacy. read more

You know how companies will do absolutely anything to appeal to young consumers? Their loyalty over the years is priceless. Unless you're CVS. I am glad they are bucking the marketing tide. A manager just accosted our daughter with a very curtly-stated New Rule:" No backpacks allowed!" And then silence. No "and please check your bag over here, or I can take it for you." Yuck. Using this pharmacy was a mistake I won't make again. Super crowded, slow "pick up" staff, equal number of "drop off" employees who stood there serving their zero customers while the "pick ups" waited in a long and unnecessary line. The CVS has a decent selection, worth going if you can stomach dealing with high schoolers and middle schoolers skipping class. I usually can't. read more

So it's the morning after Thanksgiving. My 6 month old son has had a fever bouncing around 102 on and off for a couple of days, but this morning his fever spiked to 103. He hates the other medicine we had been trying to give him, so I'm out, bright and early, looking for other medicine for him. My wife spoke with our pediatrician, and got a list of things to buy. I stop in this CVS and go to speak with the pharmacist, hoping to get some help and guidance, seeing as that's their job and all. Right from the get-go I'm getting nothing but attitude from her. Curt "yes" and "no" answers, acting like I'm wasting her time and she has better things to do, sighing and shrugging her shoulders at times rather than giving actual answers. Not giving me any guidance, or making any suggestions. She just keeps repeating "talk to your pediatrician", to which I keep responding, "I already did, and she told me to buy such-and-such medicine, which you're apparently out of at the moment, so what else can I try?". Over and over again. Not a single ounce of sympathy for my situation or my son either. Just "talk to your pediatrician"..."talk to your pediatrician"...over and over, like a broken record (Dumb B^tch & the Dumbtones sing their greatest hits). Finally I give up and ask where the closest other CVS stores are in the area. She rolls her eyes at me. Rolls her eyes!* She gets out a Yellow Pages and starts rattling off addresses willy-nilly. I ask which one is the closest. She rolls her eyes again and exclaims, "I don't know!", slams the book shut and walks off. I'm not a violent person, but I almost threw my coffee in her face. Seriously. It took every ounce of willpower I had not to. Here's the thing: I used to work in a CVS. In the pharmacy, even. And taped up right above our phone we had a list of other CVS stores in the area, their addresses, approximate mileage away from our location, and a phone number (that went direct to the other pharmacy, not the general line for the store). That's how it's done. That's called being a professional. That's called doing your job. I don't know whatever 2-bit, half-rate med school for idiots this irresponsible, entitled moron went to, but apparently they give out degrees to anyone. I had always come to this pharmacy as my work used to be nearby and after I moved away I still used this location just because I'm too lazy to move everything over. I've never had issues until today. It is a smaller pharmacy and I took in my prescription as a refill from my doctor. I was accused of having an illegal prescription and treated as if I'm some type of drug addict! I've never been so insulted or so angry before. The pharmacy manager was quite rude in telling me that my prescription was now confiscated and questioned the validity of my dr. Normally I wouldn't want to complain, but the treatment I received was beyond what was reasonable. I will be making a complaint to CVS regarding the customer service, which is apparently lacking if one is suspected of any wrong doing, especially when it is misplaced. read more

For several years this CVS has been filling 6 medications for me. I've found them to be very reliable. They always send me a text message when my order is ready. A couple of times I had problems with the insurance and they were very helpful getting it straightened out. A pharmacist is always available to answer questions. Yes, there can be a queue at busy times of day, but its never excessively long. Parking can be hard to find at lunchtime on weekdays. They have a rather complicated preferred customer coupon system that can save you money if sign up for it and use it. read more

This pharmacy was out of the flu medication prescribed for my son. They called around to nearby locations for me, but none of those locations had stock either, so the pharmacy called my prescription into a competing local store across the street. They even followed up with a second call back to make sure I knew they closed at 5:00 on a holiday. That was above and beyond. Thank you. read more

Terrible customer service. Signs all over the store recommend getting a flu shot. Turns out the pharmacy is out of the flu medication and they curtly told me they would not be getting any more in stock. Then they told me to "try Waltham". However they wouldn't call "Waltham" first for me. They just wanted me to drive to Waltham to take a chance that the pharmacy in Waltham had the medication. I have been a customer at this pharmacy for 20 years. The pharmacists would not take the time to call for me. I went to Walgreens instead - experience was perfect. I am going to transfer all of my prescriptions out of CVS. Pharmacists at CVS need to be more user-friendly. Avoid CVS-Lexington if you expect a higher level of customer service. read more

I work close by and go here multiple times a week as do many of my coworkers. I typically see the same clerks and one is so great he remembers most of my phone number for my extra care card. They have seen me get everything from the pregnancy test for my daughter that I am pregnant with now to the cards I by to send to my stepdaughters on holidays and birthdays. These are people that don't know me but are a big part of my life in a very unusual way. So today I got very protective. One worker Karen was treated terribly by a local citizen. She was beyond polite and patient and had a manager Jay help intervene but this woman was just beyond rude. I want to thank Karen and Jay and the guy that always checks me out that I can't remember his name right now, for being a part of my day and week and putting up with these types of folks who I am sure they see often. You don't know me but I know all of you and trust you with my life needs and future memories. It is just a job at a register to some people but you are important. read more

This is probably the worse CVS store. I called the store directly to inquire about a mobility device I know they have in stock. I just came from a store in Bellingham MA. I was put on hold for what seems forever after I inquired about the item, nobody picked up. I called again, was put on hold again. Finally, someone picked up and I inquired again about a DRIVE MEDICAL ROLLATOR 6" and gave an item number. The guy on the other end said: "we do not carry that, probably another store". I said I'm on your website, you have it. He explained again what he did, put the item number in and nothing came up...And I hang up because the idiot lazy employee does not want to look it up properly. So disappointed. read more
