Once again, I go today to try to fill up my tank using my AMEX which I ALWAYS use to fill up my tank at other nearby stations. I never have a problem with using this card at gas stations. This Speedway takes AMEX but after I tapped the card to pay for the gas, the card wouldn't process. I pressed the Help button and waited. No one answered. I pressed it again about 4 more times waiting each time for someone to respond and no one did. I walked into the convenience store and the stupid lady behind the counter had no customers at the counter so was free to respond to my help request and then she asks me if I am at pump no. 8 and I said yes and why won't that pump take my AMEX. The lady starts making excuses and saying stuff I had to ask several times what is she saying because her statements didn't make any sense. She tried to tell me something was wrong with my card. The "card was declined" she said. I said this card has a zero balance and is used at other retail locations with zero issues ever. The pump actually showed a statement that the pump was "waiting for the cashier." The lady says I should put myself in her place and what would I do and I shrieked, "Fix the damn pump!" I left the station without getting gas and will NEVER go back. This is the fourth time I've tried to get gas at this station over the past few years and have always had an issue. Morons run this station and don't care about any issues with customers. The owners/staff are foreigners (originally) and you can tell they don't understand good customer service here in the US. I know that sounds racist but so be it.
