Horrible past experience, though customer service and current staff saved the day. I am writing this review now because it's important to share how escalated a simple service can get here. A year ago, I came to this CVS for passport/ID photos. The quality was abysmal--no flash, blurry, completely unprofessional for a place that claims to specialize in document photos. When I politely pointed out that for $24, the photo should at least be decent, the female manager completely snapped. She started screaming at me, was incredibly hostile, and began loudly gossiping about me with her coworkers right in front of me. She literally made derogatory comments about my appearance, calling me a "dumb white girl" and a "blonde," saying that everyone else liked their photos before I showed up. When I refused to tolerate this abuse and asked for a refund, they botched the transaction and accidentally charged me another $24 instead of refunding it. In total, I was out $48 for a ruined photo and a mountain of disrespect. I had to return to the store, where the staff suddenly "didn't understand" anything. I had to call corporate customer support and even consult a lawyer friend to prepare a formal complaint. Thankfully, CVS corporate customer service was helpful and finally returned my money. Update: I recently had to visit this location again last week, and I must admit the experience was completely different. They seem to have hired new, normal cashiers, or at least the person who helped me this time was polite and professional. My boyfriend and I, both minors, visited CVS to purchase contraceptives. To avoid a potentially awkward encounter, my boyfriend checked the aisle multiple times to see if an employee had left. On the third check, the employee stormed over and began aggressively shouting at my boyfriend. I intervened, pointing out that she was in her twenties and yelling at two teenagers, which only escalated her anger. She cursed at us, calling us "weirdos," and demanded that my boyfriend needs to "get the fuck out of my store." Despite knowing we were uncomfortable and likely not acting maliciously- she even said, "I know you guys are waiting for me to leave the aisle and I'm not going to"- the employee continued her aggressive behavior. We were legally entitled to purchase the contraceptives, and were not given any opportunity to explain our actions or clarify the situation due to her confrontational demeanor. She repeatedly addressed me as "miss thing" (as if she was an uneducated fool) (or maybe she just is) and spoke to both of us as if she were in a position of superiority. My boyfriend exited the store, but I remained to purchase a drink. The same employee followed me, continuing to yell that my boyfriend had been peeking at her. She invaded my personal space, being much closer than arms length from me and threatened to call the police, despite our innocent actions. I pulled out my phone to contact someone because I was genuinely concerned for MY own safety as she trailed me to the door, she looked as if she was going to get physical, staying uncomfortably close, and continuing to harass me as I was on my way to the doors. The behavior displayed by this employee was entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. No customer, especially minors, should be subjected to such hostility and aggression. This incident has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I will not be returning to this CVS after witnessing the level of maturity employees can have to work here. WILL make it a point to get her name during and I strongly urge management to address this issue to prevent such occurrences in the future. read more

The pharmacy is a mess. I had to wait over 5 hours for an antibiotic and it took 3 trips to get my medication. I can't imagine how terrible it is for the elderly or those that are really sick and waiting for meds. read more

This place has one of the most inconsiderate and rude pharmacy employees that work there. The staff in the front of the store is fine, they're actually quite nice but the pharmacy staff are miserable and have no desire to help anybody that approaches them. On multiple occasions I've left with a sour taste in my mouth and today was the last straw, I felt I had to leave a review on Yelp. I pull up to the drive-thru and they just asked for a name right off the bat they don't even greet me. When I give them the name, the date of birth and the medicine I'm picking up there's just a quiet pause. Finally after 30 seconds she looks at me with the phone in her hand and asked for the information again. I give it to her again and she turns away from the window without saying anything. she comes back and throws the medicine into the drawer and pushes it out to me and then walks away without seeing anything else. The receipt says the person who "helped" me was named Navjot. Hey Navjot, if you hate your job so much, find a job that you like. Today my self and other members of my family went for an appointment to take a Covid-19 test At CVS drive through.It was a disaster,they were suppose to be prepared.But wasn't, the girl at the window(Aman) tried to get things going but was totally unprepared for the task at hand.She scramble trying to find her way.Not her fault all together....Management is to blame.Poor training of the staff.They weren't able to get us started,the Covid-19 kits weren't ready at all.We were Behind schedule.What normally would have been 25 minutes for us it was going to be at least 2 hours and then some.Bad operation,lousy service.The point I obviously made is simple if you want too be tested don't go there.Go else where or you stand to experience the same as I did.Was told by someone with in my family not to go there but I didn't listen should have..... read more

I was in this cvs for the first time today looking for replacement for the nose pads for my perception sunglasses. I asked a nice man who knew where this tinny little package was. He was very friendly and nice. I went to the optical center-who knew they had one! The man there was an absolute delight to speak with. Not only did he replace the little plastic nose pads, he tightened the arms and frame and cleaned them for me. Incredible customer service from every one I interacted with at this store. I will say, I'm not in here a lot because of their usual slow service. I was in here for a gift card and I won't be returning. The manager (I think he is) stands right on top of you as your using self check out. I had to tell him to back up multiple times. I have high risk family members at home. The store was already crowded and the COVID cases are high right now so I was very anxious and I was dying to get out of the store. He asked me if I needed help at least five times. I don't mind assistance but after politely saying,"No thanks" every single time, take a hint that I don't need help. I have the ability to be able to ask for help if and when i need it. I was a little insulted because I was wondering if he thought I was going to steal with all of the cosmetics I was buying. I'm also high anxiety and having someone stand up your ass your entire transaction is extremely annoying, potentially dangerous, and triggering to my anxiety. At one point I was making sure my items rung up correctly and I guess because I was taking too long for his liking I said, 'Fine. Help me then.". I have found the staff at the pharmacy is very good, efficient,and friendly. Refilling my prescriptions is inefficient. There system between doctors, insurance, and patient, can be improved. I find the organization of getting many prescriptions filled at one time to be a challenge, and takes many visits to the location. I have been trying to resolve this problem with no improvement. read more

I scheduled my flu/covid shot online at CVS. When I arrived at the appointed time, I discovered CVS didn't have a contract with my insurer for the flu shot. My insurer is one of the major medical insurance companies in the country, so this was a surprise. The pharmacist informs me it will be $49.95 to get the Flu shot or I can go to Walgreens, Rite-Aid, etc. and get it for free. When I ask why didn't CVS warn me when I registered online about the $50 fee, the Pharmacist corrects me - "It is $49.95". I request only the covid shot. He gestures me to a a closed off area. I am with an elderly lady. She tells her friend on the phone "I am waiting for a test to determine whether I have a cold or the flu." I ask the pharmacist to cancel my covid shot. After a debate, he crosses it off my vaccine card. He wrote it had been administered. More back and forth and he agrees to give me a receipt saying the "vaccine is on hold." I rescheduled an appointment to get my flu/covid shot at another major pharmacy. Enough with CVS. read more

This store named cvs (crackers very slow) lol they take so long to give us our medication and they say that they didn't consult the doctor and that they couldn't give us our medication until they get back with the doctor. Well that means that I go days maybe weeks without my medication Okay for example just say I had cancer and they couldn't give me my meds that means I should plan my own funeral before I even die? Okay so we called the office and we consulted the receptionist and she said that the doctor left and went on vacation for a week so she wasn't there. Now cvs had our pills but they still couldn't give them to us this was a month ago but even today they took so long to give us only two bottles! Almost everytime we go there we have a problem. I am updating my review on this specific store. It went from bad to worse over the years. Employees still wonderful... actually most are excellent always a few bad apples though which is normal anywhere but that is not my issue. In the pharmacy there is Michelle who I noted in my last review is an awesome Pharmacist .Still is. Joe eh not so much, most days he acts like he is doing you a favor by filling your script and answering your questions. I am not allowed to name names and quiet honestly I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it but I don't know if it is because the store is so busy and is understaffed, or if the Pharmacist herself just made the mistake but this is not something that can be tolerate. This is why I have to share. I am an epileptic. I take anti seizure meds besides other medications that some are time released and some are not. Its a very fine balance and fine line between how and when I need to take all my medications. Some with food some without. Some earilier than others. Some of my seizure can be brought on if my blood sugar goes too low. So many factors. Then throw in that I have Mutltiple Myeloma Bone Marrow Cancer and I had Thyroid Caner and am on Medications for that. So every thing as I said has to be very finely balanced. Last summer (2017) one of my medications was not filled correctly. It was the correct medicine name and dosage but not time released which technically makes it for all intent and purpose not the correct medicine. I didn't realize it because it had the name listed on the outside of the bottle, within a couple days I wasnt feelin gweel i went ot the emergency room because my legs were swelling that was a different issue and i ended up having a seizure. For several weeks until i levered off i still felt unwell then 3 mo later when it was time to refill script my husband goes to cal it in and looks and sees its not correct he assumes the dr had not e claimed it in to the pharmacy correctly. I personally then have to call the office they read it back to me what was in my chart and then actually exclaimed in and nope they made the mistake in CVS. So now the Pharmacist sees my husband coming in and stophim and says oh I am so sorry but we have an issue with this script it seems it may have bee filled wrong last time. Well yeah. So they noticed also . So now at this point i have to change again go back on the right meds be on the time released one starat having petite pal sieizures all for the fact someone was lax in their job, possibly over worked. And down right lazy. What do i get out of this ? Just some more seizures. So that is what I write the review. I needed a refill on my daughters medication so I contacted CBC s pharmacy on a Thursday as med needed to be started on Sunday It was out of stock so they ordered it with the promise that it would be in the next afternoon I called and was told to call back after four. I called after four and it was not in. I was told they'd reach out to other lOcations and get back to me. They never did either I called the store for 2.5 hours on Sunday morning. I even called the provider lIne several times. They never answered the phone so I called the front of the store to have them call me from the pharmacy They never did. I got in my car and drive to the pharmacy and explained what happened. They claimed the phone was not working. The phone rang when I was standing there and it was answered There were no other customers waiting and alas they DID NOT HAVE HER MEDS AND NEVER CALLED OTHER CVS PHARMACIES AS PROMISED I DID ITT MYSELF AND WAS FORTUNATE ENOUGH TO LOCATE THE MED. While I was there I asked to have all prescriptions transferred to Rite aid and was told that Rite Aid had to call CVS When I had already spoken to Rite Aid and was informed that CVS had to call them The snarky reply was that Rute Aid didn't want to do their job My reply was that apparently you're the ones not wanting to doo your job as you don't pick up the phone or bother to follow thru on what you say Done with them They suck read more

Went in to pick up my prescriptions. I was told that my insurance company said the meds weren't covered. The Pharmacist thought that was unusual for a simple antibiotic so she called my insurance carrier. She was told the same thing over the phone. The Pharmacist felt that was bizarre since almost all insurance covers antibiotics. She found a solution to lower my out of pocket cost. On saturday night, I placed an order for a same day photobook for my photography project that was due on Wednesday morning. When I still didn't receive an email about it being ready on tuesday, I went to the store to see if something was wrong. Turns out the machine broke and they went days without even calling me and letting me know. The manager there (dark hair) was so rude and told me there was nothing she could do about it (before even trying to help me) I tried to explain my situation and she basically dismissed me like it was nothing. The only reason why I gave 1 star was because of the nice cashier who saw I was stressing out over the situation. She brought me to another manager who was actually willing to help. The manager (with short/pixie cut hair) was very nice and helpful and was able to find my order and re-submit it so that I would have it ready for the next morning. read more

We went today to get our Flu shots. My insurance wouldn't go through because the number had changed. The pharmacist, Tahya, don't know if I spelled her name correctly, was very courteous and went out of her way to get the correct number. She was on the phone for 30 minutes trying to get the correct number which she eventually did. We really appreciated what she did. read more

Not only did she tell me , but she showed me exactly where the item I needed was . Not sure why this CVS is receiving so little love! This is my local CVS and I would say 3/4th of the time that I go it tends to be relatively uncrowded. The staff is friendly and they recently added two makeup specialists who patrol the makeup aisles and I believe can give advice and some makeup tutorials (there is a mirrored area with a chair.) I love knowing that I can find exactly what I need at a convenient location right off of Hempstead turnpike. read more

This is my local CVS and I find myself here all the time. I can always find great deals. On Saturdays they put up the sale tickets that start on Sunday. If I have some time I swing on by to pick up some sale items. The cashiers wil give me the sale item because the sale is displayed, although the sale hasn't started. I never have any issues at all. Sometimes the line gets really long but the girls that work there are super sweet that you forget you were waiting. The pharmacy employees are amazing. There are times that my doctor has prescribed pricey items and the pharmacist tells me that there's another cheaper kind-they go out of there way to call the doctor to change the prescription. I am so fed up with CVS at 2970 Hempstead Tpke, Levittown. This last straw, I order a Christmas ornament with my nieces picture. They never called and I went in a couple days later and the computer was down. They said it went down Monday Dec. 17th. I placed my order that day. But that's a place of business, Christmas week, It's now Thursday and it's still down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
