It feels homey and welcoming, almost like it feels like a farm building. My main reason for coming here was because I ended up running out of a necessity. I kind of figured that Target would have that and maybe more for me to browse through. I was on vacation and I really didn't need anything extra sitting in my vehicle. Inside the store was bright and appeared to be well stocked and organized. It made for finding items easy. I was truly floored here as I had been having a hard time finding one item anywhere I went. They happened to have it here and I ended up stocking up on it so that I wouldn't run out anytime soon. In fact. I still have some and it's been a few weeks.

Instead of money, they have reverted to the bartering system. The only way to get your pills is to smile real big and slip them an Andes Mint. We happened to stop in at Smithgall's Pharmacy during our recent Lancaster outing, primarily for…read morenon-pharmacy purposes. Smithgall's is probably one of the few surviving non-chain neighborhood pharmacies. It's a typical corner store in a residential area, with beautifully restored older homes. It's the opposite of a big box chain. Smaller selection, however I saw products (Sea Breeze!) that I haven't seen in a store. This may be because the shelves are not jammed with stuff. No self checkout. The staff are lovely and welcoming. The woman at the counter answered questions with cheer, and quickly checked customers out. The prices were...reasonable. A 20 oz bottle of soda cost $1.50 for example, which is on par with others. It's just a lovely place, and I'm sure we'll stop in next time we're in Lancaster, even if it's out of the way.

I scheduled an appointment at 8:30a for a COVID/FLU test at 11:15am. Drove there just to be told…read morethat they accepted the appointment but there wasn't anyone qualified to administer the test. The person who was supposedly in charge said she'd "mess it up if I tried." They did offer me an appointment for 2:45p but as you can imagine, I'm sick and don't feel like running back and forth for an appointment they originally accepted and said they could do. If the person isn't fully qualified, maybe you shouldn't leave them alone let alone hire them.

I helped staff find my package based on the box measurements provided by FedX. Nowhere on the label was my name, just "store manager" hence some confusion finding it. Image quality (on mugs) was too dark and the text was illegible. Would not recommend until they make some improvements. Staff was friendly and tried to help, but I think they are victims of a broken system and are not sufficiently supported.

I am a 59 overweight, handicapped, white woman and nothing makes me madder than when I hear people refer to this as the "Ghetto Walmart ". I have always been able to get help when I needed it and was treated with courtesy. They have many long term employees doing a great job and putting up with a lot of nonsense. Numerous times when I couldn't find something an employee would actually walk me to wear the item was. Despite the fact that some of the customers are just rude and thoughtless it remains a well maintained store. Any problems I have seen were ones caused by customers. What can employee do when a customer chooses to leave a package of hamburger dripping blood in the kitchen appliances. The problem isn't the store or staff it's the customers who were apparently raised by wolves.

My family has done business with Ganse for many years. This is a testament to a GREAT apothecary. The owner is a Great Guy, he has gone above the call of duty for myself and my brother. (He never announced to me who he was ). They even delivered my brothers much needed script just so he could stay on his script without interruption.
