I arrived at the pharmacy at 1:00 to pick up a prescription.. they ignored me in line until 1:30 and then told me "we are on lunch now". Extremely unacceptable service. He keeps things moving, is always in a good mood, and caught things like the fact that my insurance wasn't applied which got me the prescriptions for $0. I visited this CVS today and was treated extremely unprofessionally by a pharmacist. The pharmacist made discriminatory comments regarding the dosage of a certain medication my partner takes as if she takes far too much. Comments like these are why people stop taking life-saving medications. Unfortunately, it was not the first time CVS has discriminated against me for medications prescribed by a doctor, and it won't be the last. Very disappointed. read more

This is the same as any other CVS Pharmacy store except it has a "minute clinic." It's one of those stop in at any time type of places, generally meant for minor cuts, burns, etc. Though it gets crowded and wait times can be long, for me one of the worst things was working the computer in order to establish the patient on their wait list. What brought me here was the insistence of a traveling friend who I wanted to take to the hospital emergency room but he vehemently refused. His condition was that he had completely lost his balance and was suffering from double and triple vision. Though he thought he was suffering from vertigo I knew it was more serious, more in the order of some form of progressive ataxia. Thinking that any medical person could tell the difference, I took him here, sure that they would send him to the hospital. But no, that didn't happen. To my surprised, they only cleaned wax out of his ears, gave him some over the counter motion sickness pills, and told that he'd be fine in a day or two. To make a long story short, he didn't get better, and when he was finally forced to a hospital, he was diagnosed with brain tumor in his cerebellum requiring emergency brain surgery. So could I recommend the clinic part of this CVS? The answer is no. Depending upon your situation, you may end up only delaying proper medical care. read more

Most incompetent pharmacy. Scary for a pharmacy to be this incompetent. Son went to Urgent Care for strep & w/out asking UC called Rx in to 24 hr cvs (they don't deserve capital letters) Here's the message cvs left on my phone: "Due to insurance limitations we cannot fill your Rx starting with a @ your cvs pharmacy. If you have any questions please contact your cvs pharmacy @ (their #). Thank you for being a valued customer of cvs. We look forward to serving you in the future. Goodbye." LMBO...Like that's gonna happen! If we're such valued customers why would they send such a stupid message? Had to call son & have him go back to UC & have Rx sent to Giant pharmacy. Then called Giant to make sure they could fill it. Then I called cvs to ask why the stupid message. Was told Rx was ready for pickup. Then she said, "That message should not have been sent." Duh, ya think! Fix the issue so it doesn't happen to anyone else! They've been calling me everyday since w/ same message "Your Rx is ready for pickup." I finally blocked their #, as I'm sure they don't want me calling & telling them what they can do w/that Rx. read more

Save yourself time and hassle and go elsewhere. I travel for work and am immuno compromised so I made an appointment for my Covid booster. Upon checking in I was turned away because my conditions were not 'valid'. After triple checking the CDC website and calling the CVS helpline I was informed these conditions qualified me for the booster. I was able to get an appointment that day at another CVS but the Pharmacy tech could not be bothered to cancel the appointment I was denied so I had to wait another 15 minutes for my booster. I'm not sure if Pharmacy at this location doesn't believe in the vaccine or are too careless to learn the guidelines. Seems like the wrong job either way. On the plus side this is a great place to learn about other customers health issues as they loudly discuss them behind the counter. Giving this 1 star because I can't leave 0. read more

I had to call for job related reasons. The pharmacist who answered the phone was completely rude- informed me " my phones don't stop ringing and I don't make any money helping you. Can I go yet?" That was completely unprofessional last I checked no one makes a commission for how many oxytocin are refilled. I am calling about a MUTUAL patient - we are on the same team to provide continuous care. I would have gladly called back if he asked. This man is the epitome of what's wrong this store. The staff is extremely not helpful and rude. A few weeks ago I picked up a $3 and used self check out and it wasn't scanning & so I needed cashier assistance. When the lady came over 5 minutes later I explained what was happening and how the machine wasn't scanning, and she smugly said "mhm" insinuating that I was trying to shoplift the item, and walked away. Normally I would never go to a CVS, but it is 4 am Sunday morning and I have just left the emergency room and I am in Pain, and this is the only place open. Even though the pharmacist clearly saw that my hand was in a splint they gave me a child guard cap! Evidently there is no intelligent life anywhere at CVS. I've read the reviews and although I agree with every one of them however I must base this review off my most recent experience here. Had it not been for one dedicated and overworked employee; the night pharmacist Ann, my review probably would have been as disappointing as the others. However Ann went above and beyond her job responsibilities to find a solution to a very urgent situation. The background story is a very sick child was in my care requiring a late visit to urgent care. Urgent care sent a prescription that was not available in that formula or as written. Unfortunately LGH owned urgent care centers offer NO after-hours support so Ann was unable to contact anyone to have this corrected. She could have given up. But instead she called every 24 hour pharmacy (including non CVS) that were open or had an on call number from Lancaster to Harrisburg to try to find a suitable solution. She even called our own locally family owned pharmacy. All the while multitasking because the place is packed. We saw at least 4 other patients we recognized from urgent care. If you ever go there at night it's not unusual to encounter an addict or two filling pain meds. That night was no exception. In fact there were two obviously opioid addicted patrons there, feening and pacing about. The phones were ringing, people were going thru the drive thru, stockers were in the way trying to restock medications. She had only two pharmacy technicians to assist her. Although she was obviously under a lot of pressure, in a high stress, understaffed area she stayed calm, did multiple things at once, and was courteous and showed genuine concern for our situation. Unfortunately a solution was not available that night which I blaim LGH for (trust me their review is a lot different than this one!) but Ann did exhaust every measure on her end and should be recognized for her efforts. So you can see the problem with this CVS; understaffed, chaotic, and perhaps even a little unsafe at a late hour. I don't feel entirely safe in their parking lot alone at night and there could be more lighting and security. While I do appreciate the efforts of Ann and the 24 hour availability here I admit I only come here when absolutely necessary. I love CVS for their coupons today's visit i was embarrassed to say the least the cashier who first helped me was pleasant , but i noticed got a little nervous and rushed me away from the counter as more people lined up behind me do i asked him to kindly throw away my coupons the it dawned on me that i can use it went to the lotion isle, and then someone by the name of John proceeded to open another register and i ask for the coupon that was thrown away i received attitude was told in a voice that everyone heard " I'm not digging in the trash" mind you it was on top of the trash . You are better off trying to buy the compounds that make up your prescription and making it at home! Their pharmacy staff is horrid! Horrid! Absolutely the WORST customer service of ANY pharmacy I have ever been to in my ENTIRE life. I've traveled across the USA and literally, this place is the worst. They mix up your scripts, will give you meds you no longer take, so make sure to ask what the hell they are ringing up when you go through the drive thru. They will even cop an attitude when you tell them "umm I don't take that anymore... I've said this on 3 separate visits." I had the unfortunate experience of having this happen for about the 20th time in 5yrs. The skinny black kid who was at the drive up window kept bickering at me, so I asked for the pharmacist or manager. What did he do? He got another employee (some short tan complected girl with glasses and lip hair) who I assume by her attitude was buddies with him. What did she say "it was an honest mistake. Get over it." Seriously? It's people's medications! "Honest mistake." WTF ... I parked and went inside... the pharmacist on shift (thin, pale white guy named "Tristram," YES, TRISTRAM... not with an N) Acted like I was a damn terrorist while I was trying to explain what happened at the window.. didn't say sh..tttt about his teams incompetence, lack of humility or rudeness, either. I asked for their (mustache girl and skinny black kid's) names and he said he REFUSED to provide their names. That's right folks he REFUSED. In a store open to the general public where employees should wear their name tags and they are literally REQUIRED by their EMPLOYER (CVS corporation) to tell you their name, should they NOT be wearing their tag, or even (simply) upon the customers request... He said he REFUSED to provide me their names. That it is policy. Which is BS, is completely false. He then proceeded to toss out another lie and say it is policy for him to "handle any issue w/the team... not corporate." I've since been too busy to call corporate on this matter... but after this incident.. oh hunnie I'm like a dog with a bone! I've got date, time, pharmacist and store lead information, this will be a LENGTHY conversation with their corporate. So... AVOID this place! Go to Walgreens down the street or even Giant pharmacy. Do not give these lying, cover up, rude people your business. Do NOT make the same mistake I did for years. Demand better service of places you spend your hard earned money and who know mixing up your medications is SERIOUS. Not a joke! read more

Waste of time. I tried printing pictures out three different times and the machine printed a receipt and didn't print out the pictures. I had to start over three times and still nothing. Just pure waste of time and cashier was more concerned about one or two people in line versus helping me out. I'll just go to another cvs. read more

My phone was stolen in this location (at the pharmacy counter in front of pharmacists) and no one working knew how to look at the security cameras. This pharmacy never answers their phone so if you have an issue with your prescription, good luck. Easily the slowest CVS I've been too. I would've stopped using them after my phone was stolen but I work weird hours and need a pharmacy open past 9:00. Steer clear of this place if you have the option. read more

Pharmacy prescription mistakes are unforgivable. Pharmacy Tech filled the correct brand name medication but the wrong dosage. I noticed later that evening before I injested the durg. This pharmacy is awful! Had to wait OVER AN HOUR to get a prescription filled! Initially told 15-20 minutes. Checked in with them at the 25 min mark when I didn't hear my name called. Was told my request was "expedited" and they would call my name when it was ready... and so I waited! After an hour passed and still my name was not called, I went to the window again... the girl at the counter casually asked if anyone knew about my prescription. No rush or concern that I mentioned I was waiting for over an hour from anyone behind the counter. Waited for another seven minutes. Finally, I got my prescription with no reason given as to why it took so long and no apology. Funny thing is, the pill container had a manufactured seal on it! So it's not like they had to count or hand fill the capsules! In other words, it took them AN HOUR AND 25 MINUTES! To print a label and staple a bag shut! If you need a prescription filled timely, definitely don't stop here! Walgreens or Giant are better alternatives and are right across the street! read more

The worst customer service experience of my life! I waited forty minutes to drop off a prescription and they told me it would be 25-30 minutes to fill it. I come back an hour later and the guy tells me it's not filled yet and he was so rude and wasn't even sorry. I'm so annoyed by the lack of manners and propriety. They were so incredibly rude and slow and it's not even good pricing there. I've talked to a couple people about it and they all agree that the customer service is horrendous! read more
