The pharmacy is terrible . It's understaffing, the waiting line is long most of the time . I was waiting for the pharmacist to ask about a pending prescription for 10 minutes on 4/21/24 pm, he saw it but he didn't bother to ask . Zero stars if I could. I have never interacted with a pharmacy so unprofessional, unorganized, and uncooperative. You should never send your prescriber line to voicemail during regular business hours and you can bet that's exactly what they do. ALL employees are RUDE and do the bare minimum. If you call, prepare for LONG hold times or just to be sent to voicemail after waiting said hold time. If you want your day ruined, they have the worst attitudes and you can ensure that your day will be cr@pped on. I would rather jump off a building than speak with anyone in this pharmacy. read more

I know that the pandemic makes it tough on everyone and especially on 24-hour pharmacies, but we were on hold for 35 minutes to confirm that my husband's Rx was ready and when I went to pick up the Rx the person was multi-tasking so that I had to wait while he emptied the trash, binned prescriptions, and did paperwork. He did a little bit for me then went back to his tasks. I don't blame him. He was dashing so quickly that he must have to had tons done before the end of his shift. But CVS needs to look at its customer service overall. We go there only as a last resort. read more

I logged on yesterday morning to the CVS COVID vaccination site to sign up for my booster. Success! I received a confirming text from CVS saying I was all signed up for a booster this afternoon at 3:45 pm. But then this morning I got a text from CVS at 10:41am saying my appointment was cancelled. A handy link for rescheduling was included in the text. I clicked through to reschedule and re-keyed all the required data. Strangely, a spot was available at my old appointment time of 3:45 pm, so I took it. I received a confirming text at 12:23pm confirming my appointment. I susequently got ANOTHER text from CVS cancelling my appointment. At that point I decided to call the store directly and find out what was going on. I dialed the Greenbrae store. When I pressed the required key regarding COVID vaccines, I was routed to an offshore support site that not only didn't know what was going on with their scheduling system, but also had no clue where Greenbrae, CA was. I was then put on hold. After 15 minutes of being on hold, I realized I could have driven to the store in that time, so I hung up and drove there. 15 minutes later I walked into the store and made my way back to the pharmacy area. There was another man waiting at the COVID vaccination window. I glanced to the right and saw a handwritten sign that said they had run out of vaccines. The man in front of me asked the person at the vaccine window when they would get more and was told they weren't sure, but hopefully Tue or Wed. So.... I can understand running out of vaccines, but what I can't understand is a registration system so poorly implemented that customers can re-book an appointment for an unavailable date and time. At the very least, their central support line should have been informed the local store was out of vaccines. How hard is it to send a text saying they were out of vaccines? And why did they continue to let people book appointments for unavailable times and dates? Last but not least, I have to mention that I tried to get a booster at Walgreens before I tried CVS. They also ran out of vaccines before my appointment. But you know what? I actually got a message from Walgreens before my appointment letting me know they ran out of vaccines and hoped to get more soon. I'll be going back to Walgreens for my booster. My CVS experience has made me appreciate the customer service at Walgreens even more. read more

Management is terrible. Very felt like I was being classified and harassed by the staff when all I was doing was shopping. They caused a dramatic seen accusing me of trying to, or stealing from the store when I have never stolen a thing in my life. I thought it would be convenient for me to move my prescriptions to this pharmacy, since I started a new job next door and it's open 24 hours. I've never been more wrong. I started by requesting prescription transfers on the CVS app. Naively, I thought this would cause the pharmacy to request my prescriptions to be transferred from my pharmacy. Again, I was wrong. They ignored these requests. When I went to the pharmacy a week later, they told me they had no record of any request to transfer these prescriptions, and that requests made on the web site "get lost sometimes". Then I asked my doctors to call in a few other prescriptions directly to CVS. When I called to check if the prescriptions were ready, the automated system didn't work unless I already had the prescription number. Which, you know, I wouldn't know unless I had already picked up the prescription. So, I had to wait on hold to talk to a person... for 36 minutes. 36 minutes on hold just to check if a prescription was ready. Meanwhile, none of my prescriptions showed up in the app, even though I'd gotten a text from the automated system saying at least one prescription was ready (but not which one it was). When I went to the pharmacy in person, they told me prescriptions don't show up in the app unless I manually enter the prescription numbers for all 12 of my prescriptions. What's the point? I had to call again a couple times, and every time I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes. That goes beyond "understaffed" and straight into "we just don't bother to answer the phones". They don't want my business. Or yours. read more

Told them to cancel fosomax weeks ago as it made me sick. they didn't and charged me for it $100+ when volunteer picked up my prescriptions from surgery. I scheduled my flu shot and booster today for 1:00. I arrived at 12:50 as requested and checked in via the text I received. The text told me to go to the pharmacy which I did. I have now been here 45 minutes. No idea when the guy giving the shots will be back. He walked right he me and did not even ask if I was waiting. I finally went to the counter and they said I should have checked in even though I did what the text told me to. It would be helpful if they could put up a sign saying Check-in here for vaccines. I was just told they are at lunch and would be back at 2. And this is why I hate CVS. read more

I stopped in here because I needed a restroom. I wandered the store trying to locate it and eventually had to ask an employee if they had one. She said yes, but morosely told me that there would be a long line. "It's next to the pharmacy," she said. I had already looked next to the pharmacy but went back to look again. This time I found it (it's sort of tucked away and not obvious). There was no line (yay!). The single-person, either gender restroom was clean and well stocked. It included a baby changing table that someone had drawn graffiti on. I browsed the store a little before leaving and this looked like a reasonable location to shop at if you need a drug store. Made a reservation for a COVID booster shot and showed up at the pharmacy along with a huge line of people who were waiting to pick up meds. There was only one guy working the pharmacy counter and no signage to provide any guidance as far as where the COVID line was supposed to form. Should I wait in line with those picking up meds? Should I wait in the Consult line? Who knows?! Meanwhile, the pharmacist seemed to be getting flustered b/c he was the only one there. I empathized with his situation but also did not want him giving me the shot in his hurried and stressed state. So, I left. Just horrible. Literally the worst run store I've ever been in. The pharmacy in particular is horrifying. No matter what time of day the line to pick up prescriptions is several people deep with one or two staff, one of whom isn't paying any attention to customers. my 92 year old husband needs his albuterol sulfate inhalation solution twice daily. I can only get a two week supply and then it is always late. I have been watching on my CVS app and the solution has been showing as pending for days. When my husband went to try and get it from the pharmacy at 8:04 he was told the pharmacy closed at 8:00. The lines are always long. For some unknown reason we can not always get the drugs delivered....even though they are always the same drugs. Customer service has long gone out the window. read more

There is a serious reason why this place has the number of stars it does. I'm going to be extremely generous and explain that the problem here is a catch 22: the pharmacy is understaffed because NOBODY wants to work here due to dealing with Marin customers, their rudeness and their attitudes. The staff are (usually) not the issue and are severely overworked, and I've suggested to them that they should strike. I've even been asked if I would work there. I just spent 3 days in severe withdrawals due to this pharmacy. They shut down with no warning on Memorial Day and their phone says they were open, so I was unable to get my meds then. According to what I've heard, their pharmacist up and quit, which makes sense. I was forced to work and travel in withdrawals with a fever and tried to pick the meds up again the next day when I returned. They were closed again. This time with no notice and no sign or anything. I waited a total of 4 hours in the pharmacy the next day. There was a line 3 aisles long and I was getting physically sick waiting but couldn't move because I would have lost my spot in line. I do not hold the employees responsible for this at all. If anything, the store manager, who has been there as long as I have been using the pharmacy and will not make any changes to the store or address any of the staffing issues, along with CVS corporate, is to blame. It looks like they intend to transition this pharmacy away from being 24 hours, which means that there will be no 24 hour pharmacy in Marin now. They are not informing anyone and are now closing the pharmacy at 10pm. Do NOT fill your prescriptions here. Especially if they are scheduled medications, because the meds will be held "hostage" since it is not allowed to transfer scheduled prescriptions and if the pharmacy is out of stock (or closed arbitrarily for no reason, like this one), you will be trapped waiting with no solution. read more

I used to hate going to the CVS pharmacy, but recently they've added 2 new pharmacists and more help (Rose). They are really making a difference. There still can be long waits, but at least the service and attitudes are so much better. All I can say is "keep up the good work." read more

I came in at around 10pm to an empty store, within 5 minutes there was 8 people in line behind me to wait for the pharmacist. Being the only 24 hour pharmacy in the area, expect them to get busy around 10pm when all the other pharmacies close. I see a lot of bad reviews for being put on hold, but if you saw the line of customer that make the trip to come see them in person, you would understand why they can't tend to phone customers. I told the pharmacist I would be willing to wait for my prescription, and that little bit of kindness get him to move on my order and I got it in under 5 minutes. 2 other employees were called up to help in the pharmacy. This store is handling biz. Don't believe the low reviews, be kind and courteous to these folks and they will have your back. Respect! read more

Time now is 10:49pm I just pick up medication at the pharmacy counter, Pharmacist Stephen Wu is great, nice and very helpful, Star is for the pharmacist. After I picked up medication I felt like I needed to use the restroom before heading home. So I went, door is locked. Knock a few times and no answer. Look for a staff, and I saw a guy in his early 30's fixing merchandise so I asked him if I can use the restroom and He said..."Our Night Manager is crazy, just go to the gas station, there is Chevron open and Shell Gas station, just use their restrooms or you can try ask him, I'm telling you He is crazy" But I needed to go, So I tried and ask, but guess what the night manager said, "It's night time, restrooms are close at night!" Hello CVS! Please check on the Night Manager here at BonAir San Rafael location. This is a 24 hour CVS location, bathroom use should be available for customers 24 hours too. read more

I'd give this pharmacy negative stars if possible. This pharmacy is so poorly managed that only one specific employee at a time can do the intake of orders, the others are there to hand the orders to customers except they never seem to be able to handle a line. Furthermore, the person handing you the prescription has no ability to discuss any issues with your orders...you have to get back in line to discuss with the other person at intake. They never call or warn in their app of a prescription cannot be filled or is delayed. Instead you have to call or go in person. When you do contact them the attitude is "I guess we could call your MD/Ins company/whatever." Meanwhile, Walgreens has great customer service, a fantastic app, can communicate with ease. I am moving all my stuff over to Walgreens in San Rafael. read more

There should be a zero star option, as a few have said. I had great and friendly service at other CVS locations before I moved to Marin. In this case service for pharmacy pickup was always slow but at least the ppl were friendly. Now there is a policy at the pickup that the pharmacy staffer can only advise you on what is ready, according to their view. Your only option is now to wait in another line at prescription drop off. Pointing out that you have a text (many texts) saying your scrip is ready is a dont care for these ppl. After being told to go to the drop off line by a rude cashier, I was made to wait for a further 10 mins. There is just no need for this type of attitude and behaviour. read more

Love this location !! It's close to my job so I can stock up on items very easily. Everyone is always so friendly and kind. I caught a sale today in the lovely makeup department and had the pleasure of being assisted by Rhonda ! She introduced me to a new brand called Joah. Such a great person to talk to. She even gave me a freebie gift bag. I just opened it up and there are loads of single use products in this bag ! I enjoy CVS and always keep a lookout for the sales. Overview is incorrect - staff is not wearing masks and pharmacy is not 24 hours. Don't expect them to work on called in pharmacy prescription orders until you show up at store. I once asked pharmacist if there was a number of days between calling in and pickup that would be safe so I didn't have to wander the store for 30 minutes (like 5 days) - and he said he couldn't guarantee anything. More than once I've been sent to walk around several times in a row while they were supposedly almost done, "just give us 10 or 15 more minutes". Mostly bad service with an attitude. I don't think this place would exist if there was a close alternative. Wish I could give less than a full star. read more

The guy who answered the phone (you were lovely!) was more empathetic and said he was sorry for the bad service. Get with it guys. We all want to love you and you have lots of fabulous people working there who work hard every day. Give them the honor of doing a better job with systems and management skills. For the last 3 or 4 months, this pharmacy never answers phone calls, even after 20 minutes on hold, and they usually have only one person for medicine pick-ups, when the line is 8 to 12 people long. With an average of 5 minutes per person (some need 10 or more minutes), I and others have waited 35 minutes to an hour just to pick up drugs. On top of that, yesterday, after wating more than a half-hour in line, a drug re-order I gave a person in person, in the store, was not even entered into the system the next day. No apologies from anybody. And the pharmacist refused to prioritize my order and fill it right then. So I left without the drugs. The WORST customer service!!! They need a MAJOR improvement in customer service and at least one more person for drug pickups during the day and early evenings. read more

Horrible! I am out of town in need of refills before the year end (new deductible 2022) NDA the site won't accept my delivery preference, the refills were restocked and THREE days in a row I am on hold over TWO hours and then disconnected!! This has happened before COVID as well. read more
