No love for CVS it seems! Who knows what the price of medicine really is because most of us simply pay the co-payment from our insurance and be on our merry way. I can't imagine paying full price for medication but unfortunately some people do need to pay out of pocket and I feel for them. This is your typical CVS with overpriced produce, over priced over the counter meds (e.g. Tylenol, etc) so there's nothing really to brag about this location. I am excited about the new local pharmacy that's opened up in the village of Goshen which I plan on fully supporting. So if you dislike this chain store be sure to check out the new local Cure Pharmacy in the heart of the village just a mile down the road. read more

Useless. My child's provider lowered a dosage to one of his scripts. CVS contacts me to tell me that they cannot fill the lower dose unless the higher dose' script is cancelled. So I follow their guidance. The new script cannot be filled because it needs a pre authorization. So now I don't have the old script and have to wait on the new one. When I told the pharmacist that, she shrugged and walked away. Way to go, CVS. Your human decency is beyond satisfactory read more

My local pharmacy could not get my HRT pills for a refill. I called Middletown, NY Rt. 211 location and they looked in system and told me that Goshen, NY should have the amount of pills I need. Getting the prescription transferred was a chore because of phone issues with my pharmacy. After about six phone calls and three days, Erin was able to fill my prescription. read more

A lot of the bad reviews are due to CVS buying out the local Pharmacy: which was a wonderful personal store. I have found the local Pharmacist Kelly and Adriana very knowledgeable and helpful. The cost are actually less than the old Pharmacy. One complaint is the large bottles, which are literally 150% larger than standard. Which is a pain if you have multiple medications and need a lot of space to store the medications read more

This CVS is horrible! I have been using the pharmacy for the past 5 years and their service continues to get worse and worse. When trying to pick up prescriptions for me and my family members on numerous occasions ( after the time in which they said it would be ready) I have either been told it wasn't ready, they had to verify insurance approval, or that they are unable to get the medication. Maybe, before saying it's ready for pick up, make sure it is actually ready for pick up. If you are unable to fill a medication wouldn't you contact that person to let them know that information especially on time sensitive medication? Not this place! I have given them several chances and today was the last straw. After being told they were unable to get my daughter's medication and they had no solution for me, I called my dermatologist and had this medication called into Walmart instead. They will have it for me by tomorrow. They were thorough and courteous which I have never gotten from this place. Walmart may be further away but if the service is better, then I think it's worth the drive to not have to deal with such poor client service! read more

The worst cvs EVER!! The pharmacist are not very n Knowledgable about insurances. They refused to give me my baby's eye drop medication because the insurance card did not my son name on them.. Even thought I explained to her that the policy is in my husbands name. After 4 hrs of me second guessing myself and searching my house for a card that I was sure we didn't have my husband called them and told them to call the back of the card to verify that he's on the policy. They did and one min before closing we finally got his medication. This cvs needs to be closed down. I really wish corporate would investigate them!! read more

Prices are excellent and the cashiers are very sociable and friendly. The parking lot is in terrible shape, but it is of no consequence as I hear it is being renovated soon. As a practitioner, I was sorely disappointed by the pharmacy staff. I stopped by the CVS personally to inquire about Epi-pens and their availability to dentists. After a curt review, they said they could not fulfill such a script since it was not in the "realm of my practice." However, I did research on the NYDA reference website which indicated that dentists can prescribe epi-pens, including "non-patient specific prescriptions." I followed up with a phone call with my findings and was quickly dismissed by a female employee. She indicated that she would "check with her branch manager" and call me back. I was not confident she had any intentions of returning my call. Soon afterwards, I contacted the Chester CVS Pharmacy with the exact same questions and was received with a pleasant and professional response. Such wanton disregard to practitioners and I assume patients by the Goshen CVS Pharmacy can only warrant one response. I have no intention of ever advising my patients or family to fill scripts at this excuse of a pharmacy. read more

There is no grocery store and there is no other big name pharmacy in Goshen. I try to avoid this place at all costs and I live across the street. There is just not customer service when the manager/owner is not there. It is severely noticeable. Some of the cashiers that work after 4/5 pm are just rude. For instance, there is no sign stating "please form one line here and wait for the next available cashier." So I get in line with one item, one thing. I am also with my six year old daughter. I am paying with cash and there are two cashiers open. There are two women, alone, each with shopping carts with a lot of items, certainly more than 20. At the moment I am walking up to get in line, the second women in line moves from the traditional central stop to go directly behind the other woman with a shopping cart. I assume for whatever reason, she has to go to that cashier. I stay in the central area. A cashier closer to me finishes and I go to pay, cash in hand and daughter in tow. In front of my daughter, the cashier proceeds to yell and chastise about there only being one line and that the other woman was next. I don't argue and I don't apologize, I do not say anything. 10 min laters, I pay and leave without saying a word. Thus, I would rather drive to Chester then go here. It was just rude. read more

The Pharmacist in Charge told me (lie) that they only get controls once a week and it will be in NEXT WEDNESDAY ......THAT'S 9 DAYS FROM DROP OFF AND THE SCRIPT I REPEAT ISNT EARLY.
