Manny, the store manager of this CVS location is a sexist misogynistic. I moved to Galveston at the beginning of the year right by this CVS, where I have frequently shopped at because of how close it is. I was in need of cash to pick up my laundry and decided to go inside of CVS and purchase something for cash back. I was waiting in line when the man working the cashier that happened to be store manager told me that the self check out machines are open. I told him I needed cash back and he informed me that the self checkout machines give out cash back. As I'm checking out my autistic kid is about to pee on himself and I realized the machine never asked me for cash back! I told the guy that the machine didnt give me cash back and got right back in line where I was before he misinformed me. He then responded with sarcasm and told me "Well you tapped your card instead of inserting the chip why would you do that." AS IF I'M SUPPPOSED TO KNOW. I told him that he misinformed me and that he can not make assumptions with clients. He then CUT ME OFF and told me to shut up and that if I don't shut up he was going to KICK ME OUT of the store. Nevertheless, I am upset I have been giving my money consistently to a store that hires sexist misogynistic men in 2022. I also called to speak with the manager to inform of the situation and they kept me on hold for 10 minutes, a woman then answered the phone and said the manager is not available. I asked if I could walk in and speak to the manager to share what had happened, the woman replied with. "His name is Manny and he might or might not speak with you." Did not give me a reason WHY and after telling her what happened she said I couldn't talk to any managers and just said "Okay" and hanged up. I wish I could get all my money back and use it at Walgreens instead which is what i do now. read more
