This has to be one of the worst CVS Pharmacy. I can't believe there could be worse. The Pharmacy Techs are overwhelmed. The manager has set up a system which does not work. The Techs have to look behind them, then on the side, then on the floor, then on the shelf in front of the Pharmacist, then back again, multiple times and then tell you to come back. When you say you received a text that the script was ready, she tells you to go to wait on the "drop off" line. This is after you waited 20 mins on the "pickup" line! Horrible Pharmacy. PS. Is there a way to give 0.0 stars? How is it that every time I've been here my medication takes 2 hours to get. Other times I've picked up my medication and then received an automated message to get it. The pharmacy is ALWAYS understaffed. I'm picking up a zpack... all you have to do is print a label and put it on a box. In 17 minutes it will be 2 hours since Dr called it in. They said 20 minutes to the Dr. After waiting 36 minutes in line I'm told another 15-20 minutes. It's now another 30 minutes and no medication. I highly recommend going to any other pharmacy or using any other pharmacy in the area. This is absolutely unacceptable! I don't know how CVS corporate allows a franchise to operate like this. read more

Worst pharmacy service ever. We called in a prescription the prior day. The next day on pickup we get told there was no prescription called in. Repeated calls to the doctor confirming it was called in. They never even admitted they goofed. Finally went in to pick it up and the prescription wasn't even ready. Stood waiting a good 30-60 mins and in the end we wound up not even getting it after they told us insurance wasn't coming up in the system. Update: We went to the cvs down the block, spent 10 minutes, and were able to easily confirm insurance info and pickup the prescription. During the process when they tried to transfer the prescription from the other cvs, they hung up on this cvs. Really horrible way to treat your customers. Obviously someone over there has major attitude, and can't understand how to look up customers in their system. read more

Trying to call this store. Been on hold for over 30 mins this is horrible. I tried calling the store several times, the call ends up in a loop. It asks for a number I don't have. Took me 40 mins just to get through to someone. This is bad. It's like no one wants to work there. Answer your phones!!! read more

Not the worst CVS I've ever been in. Store was a bit messy and front door was broken, but the staff greeted me when I entered. They didn't have what I wanted, but that's ok, it was a sale item. read more

Not sure if it's just the day I came, but the back entrance smells funky! This cvs carries a decent amount of inventory and I like how there are 2 coupon/ price check machines here. +1 for also being conveniently located with a parking lot! Associate who watches over the self checkouts is efficient and quick when there is an "error" on the machine or an ID check is needed for certain items. read more

Not a bad local pharmacy if you live in the neighborhood. Free parking lot available in back of store. It is a relatively small store so don't expect a great selection of items. Cashiers are always slow and there is almost always a line of old people (just a bad combination). I only go to this pharmacy to pick up my photos. The photo center is not bad since you can place your order on their website and receive it the same day. read more

They couldn't fill my prescription, so they never called me to tell me so!! They are quick to tell you to pick up your prescription, but fell way short this time. The pharmacy is rude and DO NOT go above and beyond for anything! My advice is always call to see if they are filling your prescription. I will be looking for another Pharmacy. read more

When we went to CVS Pharmacy we were hoping to get flu shots for me and my kids. In advanced we have asked it they do flu shots for adults and kids and they say yes. Then few days later when we go. I take a lot of medications and sometimes I have to go to another Pharmacy. I gave them my insurance and ADAP card. The Pharmacist and Pharmacy Assistant seems to not know what ADAP is. ADAP pays for my co-pay. Since it is from the Government, it says H.. Uninsured Care Programs. She keep insisting that that they accept it because I already have an insurance. But I told her that I have been using that ADAP card for years and it works with Rite Aid. Then with tone she exclaimed "So go back to Rite Aid!" How rude! Doesn't she realized that sometimes do go to other Pharmacy if their medications are not available and badly needed? read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The pharmacy has messed up my prescriptions multiple times. Once I was without a needed daily prescription for TWO WEEKS because the pharmacy neglected to order it. Also, they consistently claim my Dr. failed to send in my prescriptions when my Dr. has proof of submission. That has now happened THREE MONTHS IN A ROW. Trying to speak to anyone on the pharmacy staff will take a minimum of 25 minutes of being on hold. When you are actually able to pick up your prescription, the line is always long and your lucky if there are two cashiers. (Busiest times there is usually just one) The amount of stress and time I have wasted dealing with this place is atrocious. Management clearly has no idea what they are doing. I have even submitted a formal complaint to corporate. Please do yourself a favor and go else where. read more

Just came out of the urgent care with a high fever and a sinus infection. My prescriptions were sent in to CVS which is right next-door. I had a question and stood in the consultation line there were two people working there, Neither knowledge the fact that I was standing there for approximately 10 mins. I finally got tired of being nice It got impatient and said I can't believe I've been standing here this long and neither one of you have big knowledge me, neither one excuse themselves. This CVS sucks, just gotta be honest. It's entirely too small and always under-stocked, it completely under-serves the community in which it's in. And I've been here for just over 25 years, back before it was a CVS. First of all it's too small, according to census information of just this zip code this community has somewhere between 45,000 - 50,000 residents. And that's just local residents less we forget CVS is part of a shopping hub, lots and lots of visitors shop here. Lots of workers, lots of students, and pretty much anyone curious enough to drive right off the LIE. This location should be twice it's size, this location should be open 24/7, this location should be stocked way better than it ever have been. The sale starts on Sunday and the products if stocked at all run out by noon. Like I said I'm local, certainly they restock the shelves by Tuesday? Nope! By Thursday?? Nope! By Saturday Night??? ...NOPE! At least not during business hours. They seem much more happy to offer you a raincheck. We don't want no stinking raincheck, we want product and accountability! Much praise to Rite-aid up the block, bigger, better stocked, open 24/7 but even they fall short of a 5 star review, but they got this CVS beat by at least 3 stars. This place is ratchet, and I don't mean because of the staff. If not else up your delivery schedule, I know you're a tiny a-- store, probably can't store but so much in the basement. How bout a stocked trailer in the parking lot? There security on the property to keep an eye on things. read more

Pharmacy is a disaster. No organization. The line for the pharmacy gets cut by numerous people as they walk to other aisles. The store itself is packed like a sardine can as all aisles are narrow. The only thing I do like is the self check out. read more

If you're going to use the pharmacy keep your expections low. If your prescriptions are critical call to make sure they have it in stock. Customer service, you're not going to get it. If you need a consultation get ready to be treated like your an annoyance and not a paying customer. That person will give more attention to the information they are putting into a computer while you get that "consultation". If you have other options don't use this pharmacy the techs are rude, they have limited stock and you may need to wait for your script. I have had positive experiences with CVS just not this one. read more

The store is a mess. The pharmacy department is always busy but is getting by. The front and the photo center is a mess. Got ready to pick up email but the package is nowhere to be found. No one is interested in helping you out. They will only say sorry and next customer. CVS.COM customer service close at 7pm. Obviously they have more business than they can handle. read more

I have a love/hate relationship with this CVS. It's the closest CVS to my home so I am pretty much obligated to come here. Not because I want to, but because my health insurance provider wants us to get our prescriptions from CVS exclusively. They also provide an additional CVS prescription card. The good part about that is I only pay $10 per rx for most medicines. Now while I love saving money I hate wasting time. The checkout for the pharmacy usually doesn't take too long. My most recent visit was probably the best one yet. A doctor called in my prescription as I left her office and I was able to swing by this CVS to pick it up on my way home. When I arrived the prescription had just been entered into the system and there was a less than 5 minute wait to get it prepared. While I waited I shopped around. Here's where the hate comes in. The variety is a little better at this CVS than other's but leaves a lot to be desired. So do the prices but I was able to find a few things I wanted that were on sale. Normally the lines here are horrendous but at one point while I was waiting the self checkout's were completely empty. That was actually really shocking because it was in the middle of the after work rush. I never wait on the line in the front. I notice that it actually takes longer to let the cashier's do it for you. Bottom line is pharmacy service is great, the shopping experience not so great but [*in the voice of Arnold*] "I'll be back" nonetheless! read more

The aisles are super narrow. The store is a hot mess with merchandise all over the floor. If you are claustrophobic, this CVS is not for you. The line at the register is long! This store needs organization and renovation! It feels really drab in this CVS. This store does have self checkout registers and regular checkout. There is parking. read more

I went to CVS in Fresh Meadows to get a package of Benadryl. I did not know where to look for it so I went looking for an associate to help me. Not one person on the floor to help anybody. Finally I found the Benadryl but it is in a locked case. Again I went looking for somebody to help me, no one around. So I end up waiting 10 minutes at the front counter to get somebody to open the locked case. The two cashiers said they did not have the key and called I guess the store manager upfront. When he showed up he said he had to go look for the key and told me to wait by the front counter which I did. 15 minutes later I see one of the cashiers who said you didn't have the key opening up the same lock case that the Benadryl was in and I went up to confront him. He act like he knew nothing was wrong. He was helping the woman with the Benadryl and then went to lock the case up again at which point I stopped him and said what are you in idiot. I had to grab the Benadryl while he still had locked the case. Walking out the store I saw the manager who told me to wait in the back helping somebody else. I confronted him as to why he made me wait so long and he said he had to help Someone in the automated check out. This store Lacks personnel to help Customers. For what should've taken me a five-minute trip to CVS ended up being a half hour. I hope the owners of this store read these comments. read more

I've never seen a pharmacy run this poorly. My doctor called in a prescription and I went to pick it up the next day. After standing awkwardly at the pick-up counter for 10 minutes, someone finally comes to the window and points me to the drop off window (weird). After standing at the second window for a while, a woman comes to ask my name and bday (yay, things are moving forward). I hand her my insurance card, she inputs the info, then proceeds to tell me that the bday doesn't match my insurance info (that's odd...I've picked up prescriptions at other stores with no problem). She informs me that it must be an error on their part and she can't give me the meds until I call my insurance and resolve the matter (ok, I guess). 20 minutes later (after a long hold and confirming my info), my insurance representative personally called the CVS technician to walk her through inputting the information (she typed in the wrong RX # when she swiped my card). I stood there awestruck as their conversation unfolded, and there was no apology on the technician's part (fine, I just want to get my 'script and get on with my day). After sorting through all of that, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for them to fill the prescription (despite the doc calling it in a day earlier). What is usually a 5/10 minute transaction took an hour. #wastehertime2016 read more

I don't come here often because lines are usually very long. Today (around 3:45) I came to look for vitamins that were on sale. They had 1 package but the box was opened. I went to the front cashier (who looked like she rather be anywhere than there) and there was only 1 person on line. When she was done, I asked if someone could check to see if something was in stock. She mumbled something over the speaker. I waited about 5 minutes while the line grows longer and longer. She is the only cashier. I ask if I should assume that a person would not be coming. She made the announcement again. I waited a few minutes and notice that a "manager" came out of employees office. She finally announced "Second to the front." This means they need another cashier. I figure I'll ask him since I am still not being helped. I start to ask him and she interrupts me and said someone is helping you. WHAT? They don't even know what I want. She does this in front of the "manager" and the whole line. I basically said forget it and I walked out. I actually felt badly for the "manager" because he said to me while I was walking out, what can I help you with, I was too mad and embarrassed to stay. I WILL NEVER RETURN. I must say there is one manager there who is a doll. He used to work at the 73rd avenue CVS. read more

My medicine is ready but yet I am sitting here 30 minutes waiting for them to change the billing to my insurance. Seriously?!

Over and over this pharmacy doesn't have meds in stock even if they are repeating scripts. 5 times now they have taken 4 or more days to fill a prescription for drugs that lead to withdrawal effects. Worse yet is the total lack of empathy from people that are supposed to be in a medical field. It's the closest pharmacy to our house but we are done with it. read more

Pharmacy is slow, expensive, and long lines to drop off prescriptions or pick them up. It's obviously under staffed.

The pharmacy staff is rude and apathetic towards the patient's concerns. I prefer going to the Rite Aid instead.
