After a disaster of an experience that was Walgreens on Harris and Harrison, I was pleasantly surprised by the care and service of this CVS. Everyone I've dealt with has been kind and helpful and I wish I would have gone to them first after Rite Aid closed. They have great store hours, I love that I can leave a voicemail and someone will call me back. Also, one thing I hated about Walgreens was that prescribers (Doctors/NPs/PAs) couldn't jump the line and had to wait on hold for over 30 minutes to speak to the pharmacist. What prescriber has time for that? At CVS, the first question they ask you is if you're calling from a doctor's office which means my doctors can easily call in for me if they need to speak to the pharmacist about a medication. I'm just really impressed with the care I've had here. I was so sad when Rite Aid closed but I'm very glad to have found a place just as great. read more

CVS has always been good to us. It's just sad that Eureka has too few qualified drs& drs of pharm.& laboratory that want to stay- we want to leave. No 24 hour pharmacies & at least 4 or more have been shut permanently ? It's the rotting from below & upward of the town...sad, so sweet in the early 90's... read more

was called 4 different times and after driving there was told they had no idea what i was talking about. today we called and we were told the medication was ready and when i got there and went threw the line I was told it was not there and there was no order for it.i i will let per's retirementment know how bad this is. i will send everything to costco now. read more

I set a pretty low bar when it comes to CVS stores. Their stock is expensive and hit-or-miss and it's never a place I want to spend a long time in. This one was no exception and fell somewhere in the middle of my typical CVS experience. We were in town for a day and needed a couple supplies before we went camping. This being the closest store, I gave it a shot. On the plus side, it's a very big CVS with lots of stuff and lots of aisles. You'd think that meant it was well stocked, but the negative was that both the items I was looking for were not there, either because they were out or didn't carry them despite stores closer to me carrying the same products. The lady at the register was a one-woman show who handled a couple customers and helped me search while being friendly and professional. read more

CVS CORPORATE- DO BETTER! The staff are so overwhelmed that they are quitting and there are always new faces when I go in :( CVS need to treat their employees in Humboldt better. Otherwise, the 2 or three people there are great but exhausted and overworked. People with chronic illnesses need to know their pharmacies are on top of it. I will be switching to a different pharmacy. read more

Not enough workers on the floor to provide service. Goods locked up so they are inaccessible. If you want to sell stuff, CVS, you need to have it available or have enough workers on the floor to open the locked cases. I will avoid this store whenever possible. read more

CVS has been my pharmacy for over 25 years. Unfortunately, that ended yesterday. It seems like things are falling apart. there has been a steady decline for a while. I overlooked countess disappointment, wanting to give their system a chance. I know things have been difficult for them on many levels. I was treated so poorly yesterday, and it was not acceptable. To be honest a HIPAA violation occurred. It was clear staff were stressed. I don't recommend CVS at this time. read more

This review is mainly about the poor customer service at this Pharmacy. The head of pharmacy, Sanjana Rao, was incredibly disrespectful to my partner and I. We had gone in to receive a refill of his medication. However, Sanjana refused to refill the medication at this CVS. She did was rather avoidant and hiding behind a computer and refused to even hold a respectful conversation with us. When I voiced how poor this experience at CVS was, she simply did not even respond and told us that we can't get the medication. The other staff members in the pharmacy looked embarrassed by the actions their supervisor. As an individual who works in healthcare, medication access during this pandemic is already difficult (esp for folks who have autoimmune disorders) --why treat people like this? read more

Oh boy. The pharmacists and clerks have all been extremely nice to me. No complaint there. But lately I can't count on them being open when they say. Last Sunday I had a terrible toothache and got through to my doc and he sent the rx to CVS. I went to get it about 1pm and their pharmacy was closed for the day. Their website says it's open on Sunday until 5p. So I had to contact my doc again to get him to send the rx elsewhere. It seems like a lot of employees have left so they can't staff the store. Don't know why they left but I'll be transferring all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. read more

This is a review of Synthia more than the store itself. My mom & I just got home from purchasing an OTC medication there. As we were checking out, Synthia wiped her runny nose with her hand, then started checking us out without using hand sanitizer. When I asked her to use hand sanitizer, she gave me a nasty look then put a little on her hands & did a half-assed cleaning. Sorry I don't want your snot on my stuff? It would be disgusting if this happened anytime but especially during a pandemic. Myself & others have also seen the pharmacists giving vaccines without using gloves. I am going to look into how to report the lack of gloves to the Health Dept because clearly cleanliness is not a priority to this CVS. I used to frequent this store because of Charles. He was wonderful & so helpful! I don't know where he went but it is apparent he no longer works there based on how poor the currently running. Avoid this store at all costs! read more

They closed the Pharmacy a few minutes before 6PM because they assumed no one else needed prescriptions. Well I did. I needed to pick my family member's anti depressants. This was the only window of time I could possibly do it and no one else could pick it up but me. They refused to help me. I can't imagine what this would be like if someone didn't get their blood pressure medication or something but clearly these Pharmacists care more about collecting a check with minimum effort rather than helping people. If you're looking for Pharmacists who genuinely care about the health of the people they're giving medication to, do not go to this place as your pharmacy. Better yet, look at all the Eureka CVS reviews and you'll realize that the CVS's in this town have no value. I'm switching to a new Pharmacy right now, and I regret all the time I've wasted not doing so. read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. They bombard you with text messages, implore you to use the app, make it nearly impossible to call. Refills through the app take weeks to process or just get deleted. When you get messages to come pick something up it is never ready or even in their system. The line at the counter is always a long wait. Awful all around. Switching to Costco. read more

This pharmacy is pure evil..I have been through hell more than once with them. They are liars telling me they haven't gotten the ok to fill my medication when in fact they did. Making me wait 6 days with no sleep and lying to me about my dr. not calling them. They are miserable people and i hope karma gets em. read more

CVS Pharmacy can be a life saver! I wasn't feeling well during a trip up north and needed some medicine. CVS had it! The store is well laid out and like many of the other CVS stores I've been in. If you sign up for the CVS extra care (you get a little card) you can save a few cents here and there on your purchases. It's worth it when every penny counts! read more

Been getting my RXs here for a few years. It always seems checkout at the pharmacy takes forever. I keep going though because its conveniently close to home and the staff is SO nice! What can I say, personality and kindness gets ya far with me. =) read more

Worst experience ever in a pharmacy- the pharmacy tech seemed to HATE her job- I did everything correctly to make apt for Covid Shot, she treated me as though I was an annoyance in her day- turned me away on my SCHEDULED apt day- so i came back next day as she suggested.She was still a miserable employee, could barely muster the energy to direct me to proper area for shot- THEN- when the gal who supposedly gives the shots finally came out, she refused me service because I said that the other employee had been a horrible experience for me. Refused to give a COVID SHOT- yep- that's our CVS. Oh, and their bathrooms were locked because the 'key had gotten stolen'- that store is looking dirtier & messier every day. I think i dodged a bullet not being vaccinated there! Whew!! Safeway here I come!! Where quality employees actually know how to greet customers rather than treating them like they HATE THEIR JOB. That girl needs to quit & get a job that doesn't involve interfacing w/ the public. read more

I went to this store on 2-25-2016. it was the worst staffed store I have ever be to. I went to this store on a Friday around 5`:30 pm. I was in the pharmacy looking for something could not find it. went looking for an employee could not find one of those either. it took me 10 minutes to find what I wanted. then went to pay. only one cashier. no one in photo area. 7 people in line and cashier was very slow. I stopped at cvs because I did not want to what in a long line in winco. if the manager knew there was only on person on the floor he should have been out their helping. I have worked in retail for over 30 years. There is always a camera over the register. the manager must have seen what was going on. I really cant blame the cashier he was doing the best he could. having one person on the floor on a Friday at 5:30 is bad scheduling. next tine I will wait in line at winco. you have lost my business at cvs. read more

Going here for years, usually good, just make sure you don't put your OWN bag on the belt that your purchases go on so the stuff can go in YOUR OWN BAG or you will get charged a .10 bag fee! I paid .10 for my OWN bag. I didn't catch it until I got home or would have squawked right away. Shame on me. read more

When using their phone-in refill system and setting a specific time for pick-up, the pharmacy front counter person regularly says the refill isn't ready for pick-up, and there will be a 15 minute delay, then they encourage me to shop in the store while the Rx is being filled. It happened again today. This is just plain lousy service. What point is there in setting a date and time when the Rx will be ready if the store ignores this bargain struck with a customer? It is obvious that the marketing plan of the store is to bring people in with the pharmacy, then set it up so customers end up roaming the store (and buying other products) while waiting for their Rx to be filled. This disrespects people who don't have the time and/ or energy to waste waiting for a Rx that was supposed to be ready by x date and y time, and had no intention or desire to do any shopping other than what they purchase from the pharmacy. Deliberately making people who are weak, ill, or on a tight schedule to unnecessarily wait in order to boost non-pharmacy sales is reprehensible. In the future, a LOCAL drugstore that delivers promised service will be getting my business. They respect customer's needs and work hard to give customers the convenience and highest level of service. read more
