Solid spot near campus. We were in the area to meet a friend for lunch at Skyline and I needed a few odds and ends since we were visiting from out of town. Luckily they have designated parking, which made it easy. I stopped into the makeup section for some eyeliner and mascara and the hair section for some conditioner and curly hair products. We used the self checkout on the way out and it had trouble recognizing the small items in the bagging area, but the staff member was on top of things to signal to the machine that all was well. This a standard cvs. I had an issue checking out, machines were lagging. Asked for coupons and I had none and made me try to pay twice and was glitching. Aside from the coupon beef I had with the self pay register everything was good. Signs were clear and things were fairly easy to find. read more

My experience was great the Pharmacy dept has always treated me with the utmost respect and concern when I use the pharmacy. They smile and brighten your day. If you are unsure they do their best to help you figure the problem out. They handle you with care and respect your privacy. Lacking alot of items, went to purchase some drinks and use the restroom. No signs stating no public restroom but after I bought my drinks and asked where the restroom was, I was told they have no public restroom. I was att the pharmacy for 10 minutes waiting for either of the two people to come to the desk. They obviously saw me buy when they finally came, they told me they were sorry, but they had to go to lunch in 10 minutes and were going to be gone for an entire hour, I was standing there and they definitely saw me but did not want to be bothered with filling my prescription for the 10 minutes I was there plus the 10 minutes before lunch. Why can't they not fill a prescription in 20 minutes? They insisted that I need to wait till after they got back. Extremely poor service. This CVS location has discriminated me and my friends on account of not being U.S. citizens and not having a U.S. passport when trying to buy cold medicine or wine. A senior woman who works here has told me "I can't accept foreign passports or documents as proof of your ID and age", although I have a national ID Card and passport from my country and I am a grey bearded 43 year old man. This woman has also told a couple friends from Spain and Colombia that she cannot sell age restricted items on account of them not being U.S. citizens and not having U.S. passport. DO NOT GO HERE! When i called the pharmacy there was a disrespectful and degrading woman who answered the phone. When asked for my name I told her and couldn't get a single word out without her cutting me off. then she continued to not spell my name correctly 4 times because she wouldn't let me get a single letter out to spell it to her. she then said "it's my lunch call back" and just hung up the phone without even finishing typing my info in to DO HER JOB. This particular CVS is one of my favorites around. Located on Ludlow Ave. in the Gaslight District of Clifton it has that small town feel to it without the limited selection. They will have everything you would expect from a drugstore including the usual medicines, toiletries, snacks, cosmetics, and even a selection of beet and wine. The service here is absolutist outstanding. Some of the friendliest staff I've come across in my brief life. They're a mixture of young college aged to students to seasoned senior citizens and always cordial and genuine. The pharmacist seem to really know what they are talking about. On several occasions either me or my girlfriend, or both have gone into CVS with a book full of questions about a symptom we were having and they gave their full attention to us and answered every question we had and recommended the best course of action and product. One gripe though that I guess comes with the location is that sometimes they are understaffed and the line can get quite long, but they always apologize and check you out as quick as possible, even using they're own CVS Plus card if you forget yours or don't have one. Do not go to this cvs. Very poor service. I'm an obvious 25 year old and they wouldn't sell me any medicine including DayQuil and cough drops because I didn't have my ID on me. Ridiculous! The people helping me were incredibly rude, they didn't try to offer any solutions and went as far to stop someone in line who kindly offered to buy it for me. It says 12 and older on the bottle, I'm obviously older than 12. This isn't alcohol or cigarettes, it's medicine for my sick girlfriend. Very poor experience. Wouldn't recommend this CVS unless they change their staff. read more

It's so nice to have a place close to home to pick up some essentials that doesn't involve driving. This CVS is convenient for the Clifton/Ludlow residents and has some of the nicest people working there. I swing in for anything and everything, from toilet paper to printing photos from my iPad at home. Print tip: use the app to send in your order and check for coupon codes before you submitt, they're always seems to be some discount you can use which makes it even more convenient and affordable. My only reason for not doing 5 stars and going for the big 4 instead is because of pricing on some items. The staff couldn't be better, the location and convenience is incredible, but the prices can be high on some things if they're not the CVS BRAND, which is usually fabulous. I wouldn't recommend to go grocery shopping for the week here but if their is anything else you might need to quickly pick up: This is your place to go in Clifton. read more

We love having CVS Pharmacy right here on Ludlow Avenue. All the staff there are so very friendly and helpful.

They're an extremely neat location with a personable staff. However, they have a security guard...and he won't "allow" you in the store with any bag he deems "big enough to steal with". This is the University of Cincinnati's premier pharmacy. However, instituting a security guard makes me feel like a "thieving-college-kid" ugh. ...especially when the only thing that security guard could catch...is his breath. LOL, C'mon CVS! read more

A couple of weeks ago when I still needed to buy a new pack of value soft toothbrushes I stopped into CVS. The first thing that I did was attempt to scan my CVS card for in-store coupons but the box across from the checkout counter did not do anything. I tried several more times and asked the store associate who said it was working. Several more attempts later it worked for me. This is not the first time I've experienced this. When I went to the back of the store to find the value toothbrushes they were sold out. Later when checking out I was told after asking that a new truck comes in the morning and to check back then. While in the CVS value section I saw baby wipes which I also needed. The 100 count package got my attention. The price was $1.00. So I decided to try them. I am here to tell you not to buy them! They are the consistency of dryer sheets. They do feel good on the skin. Any wetness evaporates immediately after they are removed from the package leaving you with a dryer sheet for a wipe. I use this CVS as my pharmacy and it's my go to whenever I need to pick up essentials. Denise is the woman at the checkout counter who has checked me out almost every time I have been there. I'm ONLY giving a single star because that is the only way to post a review. I'm highly upset with Pharmacy technician "Rebecca" who I spoke to over the phone at least four times with no exaggeration. I repeatedly asked her if they had a certain medication in stock and with an attitude she said yes over and over. It was a 15 minute drive from my hotel and cost me $25 using UBER to drive to this pharmacy to not have the medication in stock. All I was given was a "no, we don't have that one in stock" aside from all of this I am pregnant and needed it. read more

I go here to shop on occasion. They cashiers are always nice and friendly.

With the new personnel they have in this location service is getting worse: The have given me then wrong dose, the wrong amount of pills, oversold some medicine (I ended buying twice), pretending they do not have authorization when it had been sent at least twice by the doctor and the insurance company, etc. The have a big mess with my data in the computers. I am about to suspect they are doing it in purpose as a retaliation because I did complain officially about this on March (I hope not). I had never seen something like this! The location is convenient but if this keeps going on I would have to go to another pharmacy (which woud be very inconvenient). read more
