Very please with this small pharmacy, they had what I needed and was very helpful in helping me locate it. When you get a headache and you forget your meds at home. Finding a small helpful pharmacy is the best you can ask for. I didn't look around much other than for my Excedrin and with the help of the counter person I found it fast and was able to take care of the problem quickly. I'm all for supporting small, family owned businesses since I am from one however, If you are purchasing meds for your canine (especially compounded chemo pills) do yourself a favor and order them from Chewy. They are a third of the price. Note that it takes a few days to compound these meds so you can't pick them up the same day. Our script was written for 15 pills, they filled it for 13. There was a chance the script was going to be changed and I needed 2 right away so I called and was told they had them (yea, I guess since I should have gotten 15 to begin with). For 13, we were charged $89.85 ($6.91 per pill) .. figured that 2 would be around $12-$13 total since these were obviously made up in our last refill and we wouldn't have to be charged again for the required PPE and compounding. WRONG! They charged us $36.95 for 2 pills! When I called the pharmacist said they had to be compounded, I explained that they were in stock so they had to have been compounded in our last refill. He just repeated again that they needed to be compounded and that the compounding price was split across the qty. Needless to say, they charged us for compounding twice. The script did not end up needing to be changed so I switched it over to Chewy and got them for $1.91 each. read more

Who breaks their toe not once, but TWICE in a month on a Sunday? Well that's me. One was on Labor Day Weekend, and I knew I had to get a post-op boot to protect my toe. I was so happy to find a medical supply store that was open on a Sunday on Labor Day. A few weeks later, i break my OTHER toe. Once again, Yost pulls through on a Sunday. While this place is a "Local Business" and everyone should give them props and love them...I'm just not all that impressed. An elderly family friend gets a buttload of prescriptions here, and she has for years and years. You'd think they would take care of her. But, she called in a prescription and was told to pick it up Monday afternoon along with a bunch of others prescriptions that she was getting. (I was picking them up for her as a favor). So, I went at 3:30 (Which...to me seems to be WELL in the afternoon). I got 3 prescriptions and they said they were waiting for a doctor to call the other one in. I said the reason I came so late in the day was because we were told to come in the afternoon so this would be ready. Turns out, the doctor had called it in that morning, they just hadn't taken the time to fill it. So, I had to wait for another 20 mins until they filled it. This isn't really acceptable. When you're told to come at a certain time, they should have things ready. They weren't busy...and if our family friend were to have gone to get this by herself, she would have had some problems because she's an elderly woman who's not in great shape. I just think if you're this kind of company who really only stays open because you have very loyal customers then you need to take care of those customers. And, I know this isn't a once in a while type of thing...My mom usually picks up this woman's prescriptions and when I said something about having to wait, she said, 'We aaalllllwaaays wait at Yost" So...you all need to step it up...or get some more help...or take less prescriptions...or something. But, get better, or those very same loyal customers will take that loyalty to Kroger. read more

My family and I have been coming here for years for our prescriptions and they will answer any questions that you have. We live in a time when speaking to an actual person can solve all of your problems. Yost has always been there for us. With a special needs child who constantly needs ever-changing prescriptions and supplies, and in dealing with insurance, Yost is my go to for everything. Not to sure on how to Review a Pharmacy, I will try my best! So I have been coming here for a few years and the staff has always been friendly and prompt. They always have the medicine ready in a timely fashion and they still provide punch packs which a lot of places stopped doing. Including Walgreens, CVS and Kroger. This is a family owned establishment which I am a fan of and they always seem to actually care how you are doing. The building is tucked away in Mason and isn't near the highway but that's okay. The store is clean but a little outdated, my only real complaint is that they do not have a drive thru and you have to wait in two separate lines to get out. One to pick up the medicine and one to pay. However the pharmacist is always willing to answer any question no matter how busy they are. It's Great! read more

While I understand the previous reviewer's frustration, I have only experienced worse with chain pharmacies. We LOVE Yost. Our son gets a boatload of regular prescriptions monthly and then the occasional add-on such as antibiotics. I have only had to wait a couple times and those were for ones that needed to be mixed right prior to use for expiration purposes. I know to call and tell one of the pharmacists directly that I will be.picking it up. Several of my son's doctors have even commented.on how nice it is to call a pharmacist and speak to a real person at the beginning and not have to press lots of numbers to get to that human. That is also a big plus whenever you have a question about any medicine. As long as we are in Mason, we will use Yost. read more

Yost Pharmacy is a great place for prescriptions, medical supplies/equipment, greeting cards and small gifts. The pharmacists take the time to make sure all my meds are safe and compatible...something the chain stores often overlook. They also provide teaching material to keep me up to date. We get our prescriptions from Yost....almost 40 years now. If it is allergy season or something strange is going on with my health like allergies I am able to ask a Pharmacist what may work best for me. Before they answer my question they double check the medication I am on first. Then they explain several possibilities and why others may not be a good idea. They have even called my doctor several times for recommendations. They take the time put my health and well-being first. I don't know how the Yost Family finds time to have a family get together because of the hours they keep and how hectic things are at the store.....probably hectic because so many people trust them and have had repeated fantastic experiences there. Yost truly cares about their customers. Yost is an absolute asset to this community in many ways. I appreciate them even if I have to wait a few minutes because I'm not the only one in the world that needs meds or is doing a favor for someone. Thank You All !!!! read more

I've been going to Yost for over 25 years. It's gone through a lot of changes in that time... All of them good. Dave & Sarah are great people and excellent pharmacists. All the people who have been and are working at Yost's are polite, efficient and customer oriented. I have used Yost off and on for over 33 years. I think they are terrific. Yes, I've had to wait at times but I have to wait for my mail prescriptions a lot longer. I've never had to wait long. Also, when my son was small and my husband was out-of-town, they offered to deliver them to my house so I didn't have to bring a sick child out. We need to support local businesses. I would hate to think where I would turn if Yost went out of business. I've had much more trouble with my mother's prescriptions at a major grocery chain. read more
