Years ago I stopped going to this CVS because I thought the techs in the pharmacy dept. were unprofessional. My experience today exemplifies why I avoid going to this CVS location. I could not find an OTC item on the shelf, so I went to the pharmacy area under the "Consultation" sign. A woman who works in the pharmacy area looked at me as I waited. I looked at her. She did nothing as I waited and after we made eye contact with each other. Since she did not approach me after we made eye contact, I went to the regular line. The employee told me in this area to go to the original "Consultation" area after I explained to her that I could not find the item on the store shelf. The woman who made eye contact with me was now on the phone. I waited some more. Finally, a male employee (tech? pharmacy manager?) came over to the "Consultation" area and I explained that I could not find this item on CVS' shelf and that a doctor recommended this item for a family member. He then left the pharmacy area and we walked to the section where this item should have been. The space where this item should have been was empty. He indicated that I should go to the CVS store down the road to see if they had this item. I asked him to call them to confirm they had this item (first). He said that this was a store item (vs. an item that was a prescription in the pharmacy area). I then asked him if we could see if this item was stocked in this (original) location's back room. We then walked to the front of the store where he contacted an employee to find out. He then shared this "strategy" with the cashier/employee who was in the register area. The employee then came from the back room, spoke with the male employee, used his mobile device to look for the item and returned to the back room. He returned with a number of these items. I initially bought 2 of them and then asked for more. This was another process. I had to ask for a bag for my loose items because the cashier did not ask me if I wanted one. While the employees were polite, I sensed a pattern where the employees did not want to help the customer. Telling the customer that they will look in the back for an item that is not on their shelves in the original store location that the consumer went to is more convenient to the customer than having them to go to another CVS location. Especially after a customer told an employee that a doctor recommended this OTC item to them. Asking a customer if they want a bag for the loose items they purchased should have been an automatic question. I have been to other CVS locations (in San Francisco) where the employees are helpful and professional & actually do their jobs. These CVS employees could care less about customer service. Unbelievable. CVS charges premium prices for many products, yet their customer service is incredibly bad. read more

This is the worst pharmacy, the staff just talk to each other always fooling around while customers wait. They are rude and the very unprofessional. I will be switching my RX to another pharmacy. read more

Went to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions. CVS decided to make our lives more miserable with the installation of a new device which the customer has to answer many questions. It was impossible! Either I pressed the screen too hard or too lightly! Thanks be to the patient store associate who finally helped me through this inconvenience! After completing the transaction, I turned around to see a long line of customers who were growing impatient. As I passed them I muttered, "so much for progress." Gone are the good old days when a customer picked up the product, paid for it, and left. Much too invasive! I long for an independent pharmacy!!!!!! read more

Went there today to get a prescription filled.Mind you there had to be 6 employees behind the pharmacy, all laughing and having a good time. Yes there was a problem with the script, I called the doctor to straighten in out mind you I was there for 20 mins . When they checked they told they couldn't fill it because the pharmacist had to take lunch and I had to wait for 30 mins. If they had got to it right away I wouldn't be sitting here for a half an hour. Will call corporate tomorrow! Very unprofessional. 10:15 AM on Sunday, October 20, 2024: The cashier was rude. Rude with a taunting attitude. I don't often visit this particular store. I waited my turn in line and when i approached the cashier i said that i was there to pick up an order, (not knowing what the process was). The cashier looked at me as if she didn't hear what i said, so i repeated myself. She visibly rolled her eyes, sighed heavily, and spoke to me as if i wasn't capable of understanding: "What. Is. Your. Name?" It was at this point that her nasty attitude became very apparent to me. I gave her my name and waited for her to retrieve my order. She returned, scanned the package and shoved it across the counter. I accepted my purchase without speaking because it was obvious that she was trying for a confrontation. As i turned away to leave the store she began loudly and repeatedly calling out "have a nice day". Conveniently, her name tag was turned away so that no one could report her behavior. read more

FLU VACCINE REVIEW- After getting the runaround with our insurance at Walgreen we made an appointment while in the parking lot to get our shots at CVS within 10 mins. They ran our insurance and got registered. They have a capsule where you can go in and wait to get your shot. The pharmacy technician gave us our vaccine (I'm honestly not sure what the rules are around that especially without a pharmacist present). I'm use to needles, but this was probably one of the most painful shots I have gotten in recent memory. The rest of the pharmacy looked like it was clean and well stocked. COVID VACCINE REVIEW: I just received the new Covid 19 Bivalent Vaccination at the CVS on Bradford Ave Cedar Grove. The print-out sheet you receive from CVS when you make your appointment states that you should wear a face covering for entire visit. It also states that you will receive a printout, either by paper or email, with important info. about your specific vaccine. Also, it says to be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes after your vaccine to monitor for side effects. None of this occurred! First, the waiting area for the vaccine is the same place for people coming to the Minute Clinic because they are sick. Two people waiting near me were hacking away, while waiting to go into the Clinic. Probably they were there to test for Covid. Ridiculous! While I wore a face covering, the technician had no mask, despite being exposed to many people all day in a small enclosed room. She said absolutely nothing about waiting the 15 minutes after the shot and gave me nothing (no printout) about the vaccine. This is true carelessness and inattention to protocol. It makes me wonder if I even received the right vaccine. The technician kept asking the pharmacist questions, making me feel that she was, perhaps, inexperienced. She also gave the shot very high on my shoulder, not into the deltoid muscle where it should have been injected. I do not recommend going to CVS for vaccines and I will not be returning there. Staff is rude, treats customers like they're stupid, acts all high and mighty. Also their checkout machines allegedly break if you put coins in them even though they have coin slots for coins. So yeah, this place is not very good. The staff watches you like hawks and they follow you around. This place sucks, go to Walgreens or Costco instead or even Target because this CVS is trash. read more

After being a customer out of convenience for over 8 years I'll never go back. The customer service is horrific. You can go right down the street to the Walgreens, get every product you could at this location & receive service with a smile. I went to print out photos here, like I have on numerous occasions, but today, the grump behind the counter decided to give me an issue because the photos "appear to be professionally done" as she looked over my shoulder while I was printing them on the Kodak machine. They were from my engagement session with my husband over 4 years ago that we're giving to our parents. She refused to sell me my own pictures because I wasn't carrying around a "legal waiver". Have you ever heard of such a thing? The manager had already seen me there twice before that day (as I was there again to print the last photo I forgot). It was ok to sell me the pictures twice before but now it was not. It was embarrassing and & disgraceful. They suggested calling the wedding photographer from ; years ago to send the waiver! It's like it was an absolute joke!!! I walked out & I called the Walgreens down the street in Fairfield, told them what happened & asked if I'd have any issue there and there was None at all. In fact, they all had smiles on their face when you walk in as opposed to the misery of this CVS. Done! I hope to save someone the trip and the aggravation to this CVS location. read more
