The absolute worst pharmacy. Generally, all CVS are pretty awful. CVS used to be a nice store years ago. But my most recent experience at this one takes the cake. I saw a RAT run across one of the aisles. I never considered that rats could be living at CVS, but I imagine this one isn't alone there. read more

Very nice location, especially with their recent expansion/remodel. Good selection, wide aisles, & helpful employees. Plus, they have one of those Kodak photo printing areas, which I love. (I don't use CVS for my prescriptions, so I can't speak for that. But the Pharmacy area looks nice at least.) read more

Every month there's another issue with my prescriptions. Either they use the wrong insurance, fill the wrong script or don't have them ready all at once. I can't tell you how many times I've had to go back 4 or 5 times in a month!! Last month, they used the wrong insurance and I paid $100 more than I should have. They told me to come back when the manager is there to get a refund. I've been back twice and the manager was still not there. Today I was told that since it's passed 14 days, I would not be able to get a refund and they won't issue me a store credit either. I'm also still missing two scripts so I asked if they could deliver them to save me from a 5th trip, but they don't have anyone to do the delivery. I refuse to go back so I've just transferred all of my scripts back to Walgreens. So disappointed. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The pharmacist refused to prescribe a paper prescription because he did not agree with the number of refills on the prescription. Since when is the pharmacist a physician? This resulted in an inordinate amount of wasted time and phone calls between the physician and pharmacist about how the original prescription was in fact valid, *as prescribed by a doctor with an M.D.*! Absolutely outrageous and ridiculous - what horrible service. Never coming here again. read more

While picking up prescription I wanted to purchase an over the counter item and use a 40%coupon as well as a 44 cents rewards certificate. For some reason the 40% wasn't attaching and a manager was called. While I waited, which ended up being over 30 min, a cashier named Joseph yelled out in front of customers " This is for 44 cents?!" And proceeded to make a face. The issue was with the 40% coupon. I felt publically shamed. Once the issue was resolved, which only needed a re-ringing of items by the way, I calmly approached Joseph and said that whether a customer had a 44 cent or 44 dollar coupon is no reason to shame a customer. He became angry and began to yell at me that he bent over backwards to help me by calling a manager. Unfortunately Joseph is a very angry man that I know has nothing to do with me personally, but as a cancer patient that visits cvs twice a week. I will not be stepping foot in this establishment ever again I'm sad to say. I will be transferring all of my family's prescriptions which is a significant amount. All he had to do was say I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention to make you feel badly. The female pharmacist did apologize, but she has always been professional to me and didn't need to. I have to wonder what is going on in this man's life to be so angry. Sad. read more

Parking is never an issue here which is nice. The store itself is big and has a pretty decent selection of items. Unless you come during rush hour you won't be waiting in a long check-out line. The pharmacist that works in the morning (Ed?) is beyond helpful and has went above and beyond to help me when I changed employers and insurance coverage. However, it is a completely different issue with most of the others at the pharmacy. While there are a few competent ones, most of the technicians here have caused me headaches. read more

It's always a pleasure to go to my local CVS. Seeing the same Caldwell mothers buying shampoo, grandmas picking up their prescriptions and of course the middle schoolers who come everyday around 3:00 to get their afternoon snack and fuck around. This location offers a great variety of candies, drug store makeup brands and plenty of contraceptives. My one complaint about this location is their false advertisement of "1 hour photo." Instead of one hour photo it turns into 24 hour photo. As one who likes to print pictures and have that special Kodak moment it would be great if pictures would be printed in a timely manner they tell us. However this is just one small part of the store that I. D.o.n.t like. Other than that it's always a joy to go into CVS with the comfort of knowing that I can pop in anytime as it is 24 hours. read more

We have to leave from there after making Photos, because the night manager Mr. Giovanni created unfriendly situation with his customers, had a melt down and couldn't control himself, he should be trained on how to handle the pressure over the holiday spirit. The pharmacy here is horrible. They don't tell you when prescriptions are ready for pickup, and if they do, there's a good chance that the information they gave you is wrong. On multiple occasions, I have had to call to check on a prescription and been told it would be ready within an hour or so, but then later was told it would take several more days. My last prescription took almost three weeks to get filled, at which point I didn't need the prescription anymore. They have also screwed up and tried to get me to pay for a prescription out of pocket without my insurance covering its portion of the bill. When I've tried to complain, they either blame my doctor, the insurance company, or their computer system, but they don't do anything to fix the problems. read more

This is a uniquely friendly pharmacy. The customer service is excellent and I absolutely refer others here because they are so friendly. I know that 99% of what frustrates customers at the pharmacy has nothing to do with the pharmacy itself and, despite being faced daily with anger and frustration when they are solely the messenger - it's a very busy pharmacy- they maintain this good cheer that is remarkable. Worse experience at the pharmacy today. I went to pick up my sons new medication from the pharmacy and the pharmacy technician Ashley was so rude. She was texting on her phone as she was trying to take care of me. I had to ask "her are you gonna ask me if I have a question for the pharmacist". I was told to go to the consultation area. I couldnt believe it. I did speak to Anthony the pharmacist in charge and the manager. Shocked as this is a new medication for my son. Also the fact that she is on her phone texting when people are coming in there to pick up medication for themselves or their friends or family and there was now empathy, just a phone n texting away... read more

Great CVS. most of the staff is very nice. i can usually find what i need easily. i love the aspect of a photo center there. what they have printed for me has been great and they have a general interest in making sure things come out right. parking is good, but exiting south on passaic or west on bloomfield is a nightmare. i dont use the pharmacy aspect, but my mom has never had an issue, they call to remind her to refill, and she can refill over the phone automatically. my main complaint: ive had issues with them calling and emailing me to say my photos are ready, going to the store, and being told they cant find them/they have not been printed. or i pick them up but they keep calling me telling me to come get them. but seriously the CVS photo aspect is awesome. Make a personalized photo birthday card for $2 or less? awesome! read more

For years I have loved this store. Virtually everyone who works there is great. I have always had positive experiences at the pharmacy too. But now, in the small front area with five registers, three have been replaced with self-checkouts. Their noise blares throughout the whole store: "Please put the item in the bag!... etc. on and on, again and again. It should probably be banned by OSHA. So the district managers have decided to make their customers do work and reduce interaction with real people. Of course the line is slower as a result; almost everyone needs help with the machine as it blares at them and everyone else within 50 feet. So the employees have to keep coming around to help. Eventually we will no doubt all be "trained" by the corporate bigwigs to give in to their heavy-handed strategy to reduce employees by transferring more of the labor to customers. It's so terrible that I am leaving, transferring all my prescriptions to Walgreens or a small pharmacy nearby that still cares about human-to-human interaction. Resist this robotization trend; urge state lawmakers to ban it! read more

DEA investigation into Oxycodone diversion[edit] According to the US Justice Department, in 2011 CVS pharmacies in Sanford, Florida, ordered enough painkillers to supply a population eight times its size. Sanford has a population of 53,000 but the supply would support 400,000.[4] According to the Drug Enforcement Administration, in 2010 a single CVS pharmacy in Sanford ordered 1.8 million Oxycodone pills, an average of 137,994 pills a month. Other pharmacy customers in Florida averaged 5,364 oxycodone pills a month. DEA investigators serving a warrant to a CVS pharmacy in Sanford on Oct. 18 2011 noted that "approximately every third car that came through the drive-thru lane had prescriptions for oxycodone or hydrocodone." According to the DEA, a pharmacist at that location stated to investigators that "her customers often requested certain brands of oxycodone using street slang," an indicator that the drugs were being diverted and not used for legitimate pain management. In response, CVS in a statement issued February 17 in response to opioid trafficking questions from USA Today said the company is committed to working with the DEA and had taken "significant actions to ensure appropriate dispensing of painkillers in Florida."
