I have used this pharmacy for many years. The staff is hard working /overworked and usually excellent. I think CVS senior corporate management could care less about customers or employees (including pharmacists and hardworking pharmacy staff) or their safety or wellbeing. I urge everyone who agrees to reach out to CVS corporate (although it likely will do no good). CVS is "big pharma" and only cares about shareholders and senior exec salaries and bonuses. If they don't change they will lose market share. Check out CVS on glassdoor.com. also their management should stop using the pandemic/labor shortage as an excuse-problems at CVS pharmacy -and exercise in futility/waste of time -non-existent escalation paths existed (or did not exist) at CVS -long before the pandemic. I pretty much use this place exclusively as a pharmacy - and you can't beat 24/7 hours! To those complaining about the small size and the lack of certain things - there are plenty of other stores around: the Shaws and the Rite Aid across the streets, for instance, which have pretty much everything you need. Neither one of those stores are 24/7, though - and that's where this CVS comes in: get any necessities, including prescriptions day or night. read more

The receipt reading "The Village Mall, Canton MA" is laughable. It should read "95 Washington Street"! Plus, I can barely remember when this shopping complex was a mall, years and years ago. That said, if the management team of this store knew what a disaster this store would pose on the complex, they would have built it differently. Don't quote me (because my memory on the old mall that used to sit on this parcel is very minimal), but I believe this CVS was in the old Village Mall and then built this building when the mall was changed to a shopping complex. My question is: WHY did they build it so small? Even though this was a long time ago, the builders should have built a roomy, spacious store somewhat like the Rite Aid across the street. I have only been to this store a few times and other than going for a sale, I don't understand why others wouldn't go to either Walgreens down the street in Canton Center, or Rite Aid, right across the street. I've also had a friend who has told me horror stories about the pharmacy, since I haven't used the pharmacy, I won't complain, per say, but also wouldn't suggest it. Even online, there is a video of this store specifically and people upset because their prescriptions weren't filled or covered by their insurance because ten system was down. Ridicul The one other issue here is the management and staff. Steve, Fran and David were all very rude and condescending regarding an issue I was having one day at the store. There was a promotion going on and my ExtraBucks didn't print. They said there is absolutely nothing they could do about it even though the sign was on the shelf and it was in the weekly flyer. The day before the Millis CVS manually printed me an extra buck. That store is huge, has been renovated twice in the time this place has been and is so much cleaner and well stocked. So then I had to call CVS Corporate to fix the issue which took 15 minutes out of my busy life, while the Millis location helped me avoid that completely. Those friendly folks are the people I want my business going to. Bathrooms are in the back of the store and very clean, but that's no reason to come here Altogether, this pharmacy is under average, and I much prefer Rite Aid across the street. Used to be a good pharmacy for convenience and availability, but has turned into a terrible place to go for prescriptions. Lines inside and at drive thru are both very slow, mistakes about half the time, either in quantity or even giving someone else's prescription, and impossible to reach by phone - you're just left on hold for more than an hour if they pick up at all. Even the manager says there's nothing he can do. They need more people but aren't allowed to hire. It's a shame - I've moved business to Walgreens in Canton - much better experience. read more

The pharmacy at this CVS is THE worst. Have had issues with their pharmacists and counter staff over the years. Lots of attitude. Probably the least helpful bunch I've encountered at this type of business. Called last week regarding an Rx. The pharmacist told me it would be filled and gave me the price. Today I arrive to pick up and it is nearly double the price for the same quantity. When I inquired as to why, I was shuffled over to "drop off". The woman plopped down in the chair in front of the computer, said "yes?. I explained the situation. She told me to call insurance. Explained I spoke to a male pharmacist. She needed names - really?! Then later she said he wasn't there. I asked if the discount was applied, if she could look into it in the system. She told me again to call insurance. Obviously, she couldn't be bothered to investigate. Told her to keep the Rx. Then as I walked away she asked if I still wanted the Rx. Really?! Apparently attitude is on the job description. I was a customer of rite aid's across the street. When they closed, I had to make a decision to go to Walgreens in Canton Center or to this CVS, which is much closer to my house. I chose this and it was clearly a mistake. The people in the pharmacy always seem busy, but they are not busy helping customers waiting. In fact, you can stand there for 20 minutes (and I have) and be completely ignored. No one else was in line. When they search for your medications, it's as if they've developed some new way to categorize people's names because they can't readily find your medication. They organize the drugs in brown lunch bags and only use the first letter or two of your name. Why? Moving on. read more

As several people have said do your self a favor and go to another drugstore or you will be setting yourself up for a bad day. The problem is this is a prime stand alone building at the village mall and the store is too small to handle the traffic. The other half of that problem is that there were only 2 people working at the cash registers which were severely backed up at 11 AM on a Saturday. They had nobody on the floor to help people find things. Its a disgrace and the manager was no where in sight to help out in what has to be the busiest time of the week. You try looking for Epsom salt, med sized medi gloves, Robitussin, milk thistle and Tylenol Fast release liquid gels in an isle clogged cluster fruk store. All was cool until the last item Tylenol. Either they were out of it or dont carry it but I sure as hell didn't find it. After 5 minutes of tearing my hair out the cashier somehow appeared nearby helping another customer and when I asked her for help she said she would be back. She never came back and I wasted another 10 minutes. Ya I know I'm stupid but I was already there.. Anyways thats me on video in the Pats hat giving you Mr corporate CVS or whatever the finger and mouthin F U. I was so pissed off that there was no manager to yell at that I swore to make it a mission to destroy this place. It would be a great location for a brew pub. Always check what medication they put in your bag. Instead of over the counter $20.00 Flonase prescribed by doctor, I found generic for $65.99 from my pocket in the bag. An excuse was my insurance doesn't pay for Flonase(!) so they substituted it. It is clear way to skim insurance and a customer. Ironically, at the drop off counter I told them, that I don't need nasal spray at all. Why was it in the bag? Why a clerk didn't ask me, if I have any questions about medications? By the way, it was not busy hour. Another flaw was, that instead of refilling medication once couple month' ago, they without permission transfer automatic refill from another CVS close to my office. This pharmacy is the worst. At first I thought they were just slow, which is annoying. Then I realized they are incompetent. My husband dropped off a prescription, waited 30 min for it to be filled, then when he went to ask what was the status, he was told they had forgot to fill it...seriously? Another day I went to pick up a prescription for an antibiotic that the doctor had sent. They didn't have it available and they didn't even bother to call to let us know. When I asked when it would be available they told me after the weekend...if I need antibiotic, do you think I can wait 3 days to start treatment?? They will give you a pick up time and then when you arrive your medication won't be ready, Or At the time of pick up they will tell you that they don't have it in stock, which it seems like they should be able to tell you at the time of drop off, Which would allow you to bring your prescription somewhere else to be filled. Even more frustrating is that they don't seem to care that they wasted your time or have caused you hardship by holding onto your prescription but not filling. They don't seem to care that they may have cost people stress or harm by allowing them to run out of medication before they are able to fill the prescription. read more

I am literally giving this place zero stars(had to click one unfortunately). This is the worst CVS by far. After tonight's episode my business is definitely going elsewhere. First of all they gave me the wrong amount of medication , a controlled substance for that matter. I got home and was furious so I called the pharmacy. The pharmacist told me she is only human and yelled at me. I had to go inconveniently out of my way and go back to the store so they wouldn't think I was some kind of drug addict and decided to take some out of the bottle. The nerve of the pharmacist to yell in my face and not even apologize. Again I went another time to pick up my son's medicine which they texted was ready. I got to the drive up.... after a 30 plus minute wait and was told it wasn't ready. She mixed it up on a counter full of crap and disorganized junk (the sign on the cabinet above says to keep the area clean) with her bare hands and shook it up. She handled the cap with her bare hands. At this point I'm fuming, I think smoke is coming out of my ears. I go to the pharmacy tonight after calling in my prescription refill through the automated line. I was never prompted it needed a doctors authorization... the bottle said I had 1 refill. I get to the pharmacy drive up (4th car in line) and of course they have nothing for me. It took 2 techs to figure it out and then the pharmacist Mark comes over. He basically starts yelling at me from the get go. He tells me I suck. He refuses my prescription. My prescription is a maintenance medication and needs to be taken daily. If I had high blood pressure they would have given me a few until they reached the doctor so I wouldn't have a heart attack. Does health or well being mean anything to these people. I guess it's okay to stop your anxiety meds cold turkey and have a panic attack. If anything happens to me I'm blaming cvs. It gets worse... the pharmacist told me to find another pharmacy.,,, it's hard for a doctor to discharge a patent (I work as a manager in health care) let alone a pharmacist. Who does this guy think he is. Okay so long story short I have to do the leg work call my doctor, get her to call the pharmacy and have it filled, but first I called cvs corporate. They had to call the pharmacy twice. I was told I could have two pulls to tie me over. I go to the drive up and now since it's been 2 hours a different girl is there. She tells me it's going to be a wait.... at this point I should be a god damn priority. Then they get a call from my doctor authorizing that there is a refill and tell me that will be an hour so they will just subtract the maintenance dose from that and I can come back. Really? Are you kiddin me!!! I am so mad. It took 2.5 hours to get what I needed. I am waiting for a call from corporate.... I'm sure nothing will happen but this store needs an audit. The pharmacy is a hot mess and so are the people that work there. Management is a joke. Cvs needs a reality check. I really hope my complaint gets noticed. This is wrong in every way. This CVS is excellent. I've been going for more than 7 years. Effective, accurate, compassionate. Plus the pharmacist once questioned a prescription that had been erroneously written by my dr. office. The pharmacist's careful eye and his going the extra mile amd contacting dr. office really resulted in a safer prescription. Thank you, CVS! read more
