They also have cards as well as other types of toiletries and pharmacy items you need like powder or cream more that type of stuff. I went in yesterday and they have now put in a eyeglass store so you can bring your prescriptions in and pick up the eyeglasses and stuff and have them filled so it's kind like one stop shopping type of thing. Last Friday was probably the second time I have ever used this pharmacy. I have been so…read moredisappointed with the CVS and Walmart in this area with poor inventory and turnaround times. I had a good experience the first time so I hoped for the best! I had a somewhat urgent prescription needing to filled, especially as I was about to head out of state for a week. Tracey was kind, but told me that they didn't have my prescription in stock and they would order it for Monday; unfortunately, I was unable to wait two more days and they suggested I call to other pharmacies in the area to see what their inventories were and Big Y would transfer the prescription to them. I was disappointed and thought I would be spending the rest of the afternoon navigating different pharmacies. I was still at the store a few minutes later picking up a few other things and contemplating the rest of the day's logistics, when Tracey began calling my name from down the aisle. She found me in the store and told me she had called and found the prescription at CVS Walpole! I was so happily stunned that (1) she called to find the medicine somewhere else and she'd transferred the prescription and (2) she walked around the store to look for me and let me know after I missed her call on my cell. These extra steps saved me a ton of effort and time. I very, very much appreciate this kindness and effort!!

I only had to wait 10 minutes outside and five minutes inside. The people giving the shots were professional quick and pleasant. also they had the instant Covid tests in stock for $30. First, let me state that this is my 3rd time at this store in about four years.  My previous visits went well.   Customer service, employee interactions, product selections, and availability were very good.  My experience, this time, was marred significantly by two employees when I sought to check out. Asset employee Jeffrey Porter-he very belligerently gave me his name--was very hostile and kept interjecting negative comments while I was speaking to another employee who was called over in reference to the 15 item limit policy  There was only one cashier on duty at the time at register 5. She was checking out a large order. Additionally, he stated he was "The Enforcer"of store policy. Stated that there was a lot of theft at this store. With all that that implies, it was obvious he believed i was stealing. Otherwise, why bring up theft when im inquiring about policy? And that the manager was not available. When I asked for a number and Store Mgr name, I was told that didn't matter.  This occurred at approximately 8 am. The second employee was a grey haired grandmotherly type and also was rude.  The 3rd employee i interacted with was trying to explain the 15 item limit policy in between comments and interjections from Jeffrey Porter.  However, she did manage to understand that i understood the time of day and staffing of cashiers in the morning and that my issue was the poor customer service I was experiencing from the two employees.  She also stated I would get the store managers name and phone number i could call from the receipt.  The managers name was, "TBD." So. I am going to call the number and see if I can get a name later this morning. I urge all seniors/veterans to avoid this location until such a time as these employees can receive training/retraining or counseling for the PTSD they are obviously suffering from due to to the "thefts" they told me about  in addition to having a manager named TBD.

Unfortunately we just found out recently that the store will be closing at the end of November it will truly be a loss not only to the town of Plainville and its citizens who live there but also anyone from nearby who has been going there for years just to get their prescriptions and then you get the random grab a candy bar or you might get a birthday card that she thought you'd forgotten because it half price. Jackie who owns it is truly a wonderful person and she really does great things for the community she even delivers them for a seniors who can't get to the store for their medicines. In the past few years my mother had moved to California and couldn't afford her insulin out there and Miss Jackie would take and bundle it up and mail it to her in California so she always had her Insulin.
