Such a convenient location. VERY HIGH TRAFFIC store. The staff here is present and helpful and managing A LOT!!! They keep things reasonably stocked and in some instances under lock and key to keep shrink in check. The good news is they are very responsive when a customer pushes the button for service. They had everything we were looking for, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, some toys for the kids and of course candy :) I am grateful for self service checkout as well. read more

Came here for a quick pharmaceutical need. It was organized as most other CVS locations. Plenty of sweet and savory to pick from while purchasing office supplies, medications, or make up. Would come again as the cashier was kind and a convenient location. read more

Directly opposite the North Station Amtrak/Commuter Rail station and on top of the North Station MBTA, this CVS is more "urban" in its layout. Lots more candy and snacks with less focus on cosmetics and personal care items. But I was able to find exactly what I wanted even if the price was about 20% more than usual. Such is life. Paying was easy at the self-checkout and I was on my way swiftly. This CVS is A-OK. read more

The CVS Pharmacy at 101 Canal Street in Boston used to be very good. Prescriptions used to be filled quickly. There used to be a couple of people behind the counter and they could always find your script when you asked for it. There is a new pharmacist there now and I feel sorry for him - he has no help. It's just him and whenever I try to get a prescription it is inevitably not ready. Last week my husband and I both got notices that our scripts were ready but when our daughter went there he couldn't find either of them. My husband went back the next day and had to ask to have it looked up in the computer. Both prescriptions were in their proper bin in alphabetical order. I've seen parents trying to pick up antibiotics that their children need to start that evening be sent away until the next day. The situation is VERY frustrating! read more

This CVS is conveniently located near North Station and just step away from my hotel. Clean, Spacious and well stocked... I can get whatever I need... and trust me, I need a drug store/pharmacy nearby whenever I am travelling! I don't know why it closes so early? read more

I love this CVS. It is big and spacious, things are almost always in stock and everyone who works here is SUPER FRIENDLY. I recently changed all my prescriptions to this CVS because they are just so easy to deal with. Helpful hint, don't go here when there is an event at the garden, it will be overcrowed with drunk suburbanites who cannot believe they don't sell cigarettes. read more

This is your basic CVS pharmacy, with a few additional things that I really like. 1. There's a very friendly middle-aged gentleman (of Southeast Asian heritage, I think-- not trying to categorize, just don't know his name) who stands near the entrance enthusiastically greeting everyone who comes in and thanking you as you leave. He also monitors the self-service checkouts and is ready to jump in if you have any issues. He has helped me several times when I have been stumped about how to effectively use my CVS card coupons. He is very attentive and he makes me want to come into this location because I know he will be so friendly. Not sure what shift he works, but I usually see him if I stop by mid-day or after work. Shout out to him and his awesomeness! 2. They actually have a pretty great section of snack foods, including a number of healthier options. I like that they have a variety of fruit/veggie and vegetarian protein options. 3. The toiletries/makeup selection is always well stocked. read more

It feels like this place exists solely because it is across the street from TD Garden. It certainly is convenient from that aspect. There's also 6 self-checkout kiosks for easier checkout. My enthusiasm ends there. They also have 2 employee-staffed checkouts. Neither was staffed, and it was not obvious that they had anyone handy in any way for problems that so often arise in a self-checkout. The lack of employees in the front was even more obvious by the clutter, litter, and dirt on the carpets in the front of the store. Combine that with the fact that CVS prices are not often competitive, and you have ... meh. read more

Further reduced pharmacy hours make it even more difficult to justify using this as my default location for prescriptions even though I live within 100 yards of the location. Staff is friendly. Shelf stocking is mediocre. Also still closing too early, I'd be able to shop for non-pharmacy items much more frequently if they were open until 11pm - like most of the other area CVS stores. read more

I love that there is now a CVS right across from North Station-so convenient. They only have a small selection of seasonal items, but I'm hoping that is because this is their first year.....hopefully more stuff to come. read more

I'm often greeted by staff on the way in and out of the store, which is nice. It makes a difference. There's a big focus on self-service here, which I generally love, but am occasionally frustrated due to a large number of drugged out people or drunk post-gamers. Suddenly, the 6 scanners are clogged up with confusion. Added to this is the issue that they seem a little disoriented when you need to use the regular register, in that there is always some level of discussion as to who should get behind the counter. All in all, as long as all of the West End isn't crammed due to a sporting event, you'll probably have a smooth experience here as it's very clean and well stocked. read more

A great example of what a CVS should be. Looks like corporate has adopted a friendly philosophy of greeting all customers who walk in & frequently offer assistance which this store does a good job at implementing. The store is well maintained & stocked especially for such a busy location. It seems like there is always staff stocking inside & keeping the place nice & clean. This is one of the few locations that I can actually get my coupons printed out, most locations machines seem to be out of order & the staff have little clue on how to fix them. I really enjoy the multiple self service islands with lower scanners that will accept the CVS cards from your mobile phone. The only location that I have seen with this feature. My only wish is that the they staff the manned cashier. It usually takes them a while to get someone over there if you like to have your transaction handled my a human being or even to get stamps. Overall, this place is a breeze to get in & out. Nice job guys. read more

Finally, a CVS near North Station! Since the building this CVS is in was recently constructed, everything is nice and clean. The staff here is friendly, the shelves are organized, and there's even a pharmacy. Lets just say that the opening of this CVS has actually increased my quality of life during working hours. Now I can get my Red Bull fix in the afternoon without having to fend off the druggies that hang out in front of the 7-11! read more

This has got to be one of my favorites CVS stores. I love it here. Not only is it convenient for when I'm randomly in the neighborhood, but it's clean, friendly staffed, and small enough for that cozy feeling you get when going into a family owned store. Have you checked out the snack/fresh foods aisle? I was blown away. I went in to just get a bottle of water once and walked out with a bunch unusual snacks. I also enjoy the small chit chat with some employees here. Another thing, this place a few stair steps to get to the entrance. But not to fear, it was a mini half elevator for people with wheelchairs and or strollers. Brilliant I say! read more

Their "photo hours" start every day at 7am. Yet when I showed up at 9am to get a passport photo taken on a Monday, I was told they don't do photos til 10am, despite their posted hours. Which wasn't too convenient for my 9:30am passport appointment across the street. Plenty of employees milling around doing nothing, but apparently nobody willing to get this done. Especially for the CVS that is a 2-minute walk away from the passport office, they should be willing to take passport photos: a) whenever the passport office is open, and b) CERTAINLY when their own posted hours say they're open for photography... 10am and 7am are very different things! I ended up rushing to another CVS to get it done, and this second "good" CVS actually called out the Canal Street CVS as being very, very lazy. Said they could easily have taken the passport photo for me, but they just didn't feel like it. read more

A decent CVS with a courteous staff at a great location. The hours listed on Yelp are wrong. They don't close at 6 pm on Sundays.

The customer service was TERRIBLE. I went in to get a passport photo taken after the one I had gotten was too small, so I was already kind of annoyed that I had to get another photo. When I got to CVS no one even acknowledges you, had to hunt someone down, one. Two, I got the picture taken and I told them the original I had was the same size as the one they had just taken so it would be a problem at the passport agency. They said I'd be fine. I WAS NOT FINE. I had to go back AGAIN because they took the photo wrong. And when I went back to take it once again they told me the camera died so I had to wait HALF AN HOUR. I didn't have that time. So I asked to speak to a manager and she was USELESS. Told me to go to another cvs or Walgreens. I did, right after I got my money back. WORST CVS EVERRRR! read more

This is a great CVS location. The employees are always friendly and helpful, and there is plenty of space in the store (as opposed to being cramped). I accidentally left a purchase behind and was able to retrieve it the next day thanks to the awesome staff. read more
