They have a nice selection of goods, sometimes not in stock though. The cashiers have always been pretty nice to me when checking out. Wish they would keep some items in stock as a few years ago they used to have chicken pot pies that i loved in the frozen section, gone now...sigh. We recently stopped at this Trader Joe's for a bottle of wine for a get together and we found this delicious red blend called Tribunal. It was about $10 and it was really good....spicy with smooth notes but with a robust body. I love going to Trader Joe's! This one is conveniently located in the heart of Brookline and transit-friendly on the green line, steps away from the Coolidge Corner T Stop. They also have a free parking lot in the back! It does get packed at this one though & may have to drive in circles in the lot until someone finishes shopping and leaves. Inside, they have two check out lines, on opposite ends of the store, which is nice. Very busy store & noticed that I can't find certain items I'm looking for, that I would normally find at my local, closer by TJ's. If you're looking for reusable bags & the viral tote bags, this one sells out QUICK. I like the convenience of this TJ's location, however, because it's always very busy whenever I visit & does not have what I am looking for, I do prefer going to other locations more. read more

The chaotic TJ's due to its location and how busy it gets. With having a spot in a hopping town it's always a fight if you're looking for TJ tote bags or whatever exclusive item they may release! Easily accessible by car (small parking lot in back), or by train (Coolidge corner T stop on green line). Today was a specific hunt for ingredients to make charcuterie boards at home for our dining pleasure. Successfully so, at $40 at that. Found the Brie, goat cheese, salami, prosciutto, and all the other items minus the grapes. The lady was captain of the ship today! She did let me grab a box of trader joe peanut butter cups and man those are heavenly. 190 calories a serving (3 pcs) so those add up quick, watch yourselves haha Two checkout lanes front and back of store, all the shelves are repeatedly stocked and staff in general is courteous and quick. read more

What's not to love with Trader Joe's!? Overall, this is a great location in the area and won't let you down. This really is a great location, located in the heart of Coolidge Corner. It's super accessible by walking or taking transit (the C-line stop is literally in front of the store). I would also say it's pretty driver-friendly and has a decently sized parking lot with what appears to be the classic TJ's parking experience (i.e., fighting for your life sometimes). Parking is also available around the area if you can't snag a spot in the lot. The store itself is nice and large, with check-outs available at the front AND back of the store. I personally love this because you 1) move faster through checkout and 2) avoid walking all the way around the store depending on which way you need to go. The layout of the store is as spacious as TJ's come. This is super helpful for the busy times when the store can get packed with people. Inventory-wise, they seem to carry all the essentials, TJ classics, and then some. I have always found the items I am looking for to be in-stock, and the produce tends to be pretty fresh (apart from some of the bagged greens - sometimes those start to look like they need to be eaten asap). I do sometimes have a hard time finding items if things have been moved around or are being featured, but if you ask a worker they can quickly point you to where it is or let you know if it is out of stock. The workers have been always been kind in my experience - from those stocking the shelves to checking out. read more

I came here on a Wednesday evening to grab my weekly groceries. Most people are probably familiar with the general vibe of Trader Joe's, and I think this location is perfect for one. It's urban and conveniently located right next to a T station. It does seem that they've thought a lot about the design of the store. There are two different checkout areas at each entrance to the store, and each generally has 6-12 cashiers. The line builds up fast, but it usually disippates within minutes because the excellent staffing of the store. As far as produce goes, I generally found what I bought pretty fresh! Be very careful, though, to look at the unit price of anything you're buying. Sometimes smaller packages actually carry more value here, and occasionally organic produce is less expensive than the "normal" brands. Pricing overall is often far better than other grocery stores in the area regardless of what brand you buy, though, so you probably will leave pretty satisfied on that front. The one issue I had on this visit was that all of the "non-organic" spinach looked slightly off. I looked through most of the bags, and it just didn't seem quite as fresh as the other produce I bought. Fortunately, the organic version comes at a similar price and on this particular day looked well hydrated and new. Overall, the staff at this store does a great job, and I appreciate the care that's been taken to make this busy location operate well. Strong suggestion, though: Try not to drive to this location if you don't have to. Parking is somewhat sparse, and you're far better off just carrying a lighter load or taking public transit. read more

April 13, 2025 Since it opened in 1996, the Trader Joe's store at Coolidge Corner in Brookline, MA has become the second busiest on the East Coast -- surpassed only by the Union Square store in New York City. It has the advantage of a location on Beacon Street across from one the busiest stops on the MBTA Green Line, plus about forty parking spaces in two lots on the Sewall Avenue side -- a rare amenity in a dense urban neighborhood. Over about two months, from mid-February through mid-April of 2025, the store had a partial renovation, widening two formerly cramped aisles but giving up one row of shelves. Items have been shuffled around several times, leaving shoppers mystified. Several familiar items have vanished, including calcium-fortified orange juice. Many residents from Chelsea Village shopped for several years at Trader Joes at the Assembly Mall. Last year, everything changed. The staff became rude, unwilling to help,etc. I am pleased to say ew have now been shopping once a week at the Brookline location. WHAT A CHANGE! This is a PSA: do NOT come here by car on a weekday afternoon. Or, by extension, a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot on one side of the store is a complete disaster zone. The exit/entrance is way too narrow and the path around the lot is extremely poorly marked - I missed the one-way sign and had to do an awkward back-up, causing the old guy in a RAV4 coming out to almost have a heart attack, he was so apoplectic. Not to mention all the pedestrians milling around. (Which, by the way, says a lot about a person who gets that angry at someone in a TJ's parking lot. It was an honest mistake! He seemed on the verge of getting out of his car and having words with me. When there was a traffic jam of cars trying to get in, he started cursing with the window rolled down. I hope he's embarrassed of himself.) Seriously, trying to navigate around the parking lot requires a Zen state of mind that I've to date fallen short of achieving. Is it weird to admit I went into the store still shaken up from having to find a parking spot? Anyway, this location seems much bigger than other ones in the area I've been to, with nice wide aisles and two checkout lines. According to my friend this is there 7th busiest Trader Joe's in the country and boy would I believe that! It doesn't matter what day or time you come here, there will always be tons of people inside. This location is right in Coolidge Corner but it still has its own parking lot and a great variety of items. Definitely smaller than I would like, but it has al your basic needs. They have a great frozen section and an entire wall of snacks so what's not to love? They are missing some items that can be found at other nearby locations, but if you're in the area it's worth checking out! I love their cheese selection- perfect for a charcuterie board! Our dear next door neighbor was absolutely correct! Shopping at Trader Joe's in Brookine MA is like day & night in comparison to shopping at Trader Joe's at the Assembly Mall in Somerville. For two years, a small bus has been taking 16-18 retirees every week to the Assembly Mall. As time went on customer service became non existent to the point of undeniable rudeness! Our next door neighbor attempted to place a phone order through their Assembly Mall store for a very sweet, but totally incapacitated couple. I believe she commented on line at Trust Pilot that not only was her attempt to place the order unsuccessful, but the most polite comment she received was from the manager stating, "We are not your personal shoppers." In person, she found her experience with the store to be even worse. For months, as head of the resident association, she has literally been begging me to transfer our shopping to the Coolidge Corner branch. Not only had she gotten permission from the store manager to shop there but on a personal note confessed originally she found shopping for the couple to be a chore but now truly looked forward to it as a fun experience. I am so delighted, ecstatic to report how wonderful shopping at this particular branch has been for every single one of us and our neighbor continues to inform me she has yet to experience a problem with the telephone order. To begin with, should you have a problem locating an item, without saying anything, an employee magically appears, noting your confusion and offers their assistance. All the employees are non-stopping busy bees, except when it comes to assisting customers. Yet, they always are friendly and maintain smiles on their faces. When you add this to the much larger inventory it all adds up to a fun and enjoyable experience. From our very first trip to this store, when the bus returns for us, there is always an employee outside retrieving shopping carts. Without exception or being asked, on every occasion an employee has stopped to ask if he/she can help placing our bundles onto the bus. Despite the fact our driver is paid handsomely, including transportation, assisting anyone needing help getting on or off the bus and handling the groceries, NOT ONCE has a Trader Joe's employee ever accepted a tip! I have always been a pushy broad, at 84 there have been no signs of this letting up, still I can not get any employee who has helped to accept a tip. Truthfully, I have not experienced such kindness, graciousness, etiquette, whatever you choose to call it in over 40 years!!! As a result, I have informed our driver he is NOT to accept an employee's help with any of the groceries or we will find a different company. I wonder, does the manager of this store slip the employees some sort of happy pill as they begin their work schedule? (ONLY JOKING) I do have every intention of writing the head of the Trader Joe's Corporation and detailing just how wonderful their Coolidge Corner store is. Our neighbor had buried the Assembly Mall store quite nicely, but I will address that as well. Finally, I will have every resident who has experienced the pleasure of shopping at this store sign the letter. I certainly encourage anyone who still insists on shopping at Market Basket, Stop&Shop or any other grocery store in the Boston area to give this store a try. I was super pleased to see that this Trader Joe's was open until ten PM which is awesome. As well, it's located right near the Coolidge Corner T station which made it extremely convenient for me. It has the same stuff that I've seen in other TJ's including their own brands of beer, a lot of wine and (not in North Carolina, spirits). Great aisles of cheese and crackers, fresh meats, interesting frozen stuff you won't find in other supermarkets. I don't know that you can do a complete shop at TJ's but you can sure fill out your pantry with all sorts of delicious items. Perfect! read more

Back again. Picked up a few more items. A lot of things I picked up the first time. Today, while cashing out, the cashier asked me if I had my own bags, I answered yes and then asked if I knew about the raffle. I answered "no". She advised me every Monday they pick a name from the raffle and the winner get $15 off their next visit. So my neighbor, sister and I were able to put our names in the raffles. She advised us, if no one asks you, you ask for it yourself. Very nice of her. read more

Great place... Sometimes they dont fully stock the regular items. They will remove the price tag on the shelve if the item is sold out and waiting for new deliveries. It might be misleading because people will think they dont stock that item rather than that item is sold out. Customers need to know if it was sold out and waiting for new deliveries or they just dont sell that item anymore. read more

I really like Trader Joe's but I will go out of my way to not go to this location. I know it's sometimes hard for white americans to realize others that are not their color exist and should be treated like people, but I am a customer and the very least an employee could offer before trying to squeeze her way between me and a plant table (and me literally looking at a plant in my hand) was an 'excuse me'-- but no. Friendly staff holding down this TJ that's front & center on busy Beacon Street with a huge & very organized layout. All of my go to items are here plus a few new to eyes were in stock. The Beer, Wine & Champagne is a benefit as Maryland stores don't offer. Same expedient check out islands, unmatchable prices & tasty taste stations. I don't live in Brookline, we were visiting friends there - but it is always great to have Trader Joe's around as this is my favorite grocery store. This store is large and spacious, reasonably easy to navigate, and service is always good, as it is a hallmark of pretty much any Trader Joe's. As I live in CT, where TJ'S only sells beer, visiting wine and liquor section at Trader Joe's is always a special treat - great selection. read more

This is my favorite Trader Joe's! Despite being very busy most of the time, it's not as cramped as other locations. They have a decent selection of products; like any Trader Joe's, the best part is the frozen meals and the snacks. This location also sells alcohol, which is a big plus. This Trader Joe's is always crowded, which isn't surprising considering it's right next to the Coolidge Corner T stop. They're also open an hour later than most other TJ's, which usually close at 9:00pm. There's two register stations by each entry: one by the entrance near the T and another near the parking lot entrance. Even when it's busy the cash registers tend to be well-staffed so you don't have to wait in line for too long. I'd definitely recommend taking public transit here over driving. The parking lot, especially in the middle of the day, is a hassle to navigate. Getting in and out is difficult and sometimes you may have to wait for a space to become vacant. You can only park there for about an hour and there's always security guards roaming the parking lot to enforce that rule. Metered parking might be a better alternative depending on how much you're buying and how long you'll be in the area. read more

I've been a loyal Trader Joe's customer for the last few years as I moved around and lived in a few different states, but I must say this branch disappoints and is subpar compared to other branches I frequented. The Coolidge Corner branch is not well stocked; if you go in the afternoon on a weekend--and even on weekdays sometimes--chances are many items have run out. I never had this issue on a weekly basis with other TJ's in Portland, ME, and Southern California. The managers should know that this branch is really busy and should know to have more items in stock. It also feels really awkward to get samples here. There are up to three different stations: one for food; one for non-alcoholic beverage and/or cheese and crackers type of snack; and one for alcoholic beverage. Except for the food sample station by the refrigerated section, you have to ask for a sample. I love how the Portland TJ's instead has a beverage dispenser at the food sample station, so you can help yourself to some great tasting TJ's beverage to help the food sample go down. The Coolidge Corner TJ's also has the same sample for many days and weeks in a row, which is not helpful. The Portland branch rotates its sample offerings every day, so even when I went three times a week, I got to sample three different items (and therefore were more likely to purchase items that were otherwise not on my radar). The worst thing about this TJ's is the customer service. TJ's built its reputation on amazing customer service among a few other success factors. The crew at this TJ's doesn't seem to care about customers that much. I asked a crew member if the store still had a certain seasonal product, so he left to find out but never got back to me. A real letdown. I still shop here, but it's no longer the pleasant experience it used to be when I lived in other states. I used to look forward to grocery shopping at TJ's. Sadly now it feels like a chore that I just wanted to do my shopping as quickly as possible and get out of there. read more

TJs is my favorite grocery store that I have ever been to. The prices are reasonable, the produce is fresh, and they have some amazing TJ-only items. I love their "just the clusters" cereal (like honey oats and clusters but without the late) and their honey Greek yogurt. The frozen food section is also amazing - I've tried their pizza, chicken tikka masala, and dumplings and they have all turned out well upon reheating in the frying pan, microwave, or oven. This location has alcohol - both the store brand 3 buck chuck and a variety of other cheap beers and wines. You can get a bottle of wine that isn't obviously 3 buck chuck for $5-7, which is a steal. They also normally have a wine tasting and a food sampling section going on when they are open. Even though this location is in a busy area, it almost never gets overwhelmingly crowded and the check out lines move fast. My favorite place to grocery shop! read more
