Gas is cheaper in South Carolina, and you'll immediately know why when you drive on our roads! The advertised gas prices are the cash-only prices, and if you plan to pay with a credit card (like most people), you will pay a few cents more. Even after the extra 10 cents per gallon, it was still one of the less expensive gas stations in the area, though. I got a coffee and topped it off with some hot chocolate cappuccino. The cappuccino machine worked well (often, gas station cappuccino machines are clogged and only dispense water with a hint of flavoring). My coffee was as good as I could've expected it to taste from a Hot Spot. The convenience store has a good selection of local brews as well, including one of our favorites, Ginger's Revenge. Hot Spot isn't fancy, but it gets the job done if you need gas and snacks for the road.

I have to point out; when I get a sandwich I usually get green peppers but they had mixed colors for their peppers. I made a comment of how I only get the green ones but that the mixed is fine; the guy grabs a handful and this sweet man picks out just the green peppers for my sandwich. So in the spirit of how I do these type of reviews, I compare to other national drugstore chains and to other locations of the same store. This one was pretty good. Staff was friendly and helpful, inventory had all of the things that we needed and we were in and out quickly. We had no real complaints. But nothing really stood out either. Good store to visit if you are looking for something easy, but don't want to wait in grocery store lines.

Unfortunately I worked in the pharmacy! I gave 100% from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. There was a lot of favoritism, someone who was hired after me received a lot of favoritism, I was treated like an outsider and was hardly ever rotated until their favorite got what she wanted from the pharmacy and quit and I was treated a little better. The pharmacy manager is shrewd and has a sour attitude towards employees who are not her favorites and has a rude sour attitude toward customers. I have to laugh at the fact that the one they favored the most got what she wanted and quit! I will really miss the customers and have grown close to a lot of them. It's just a shame, I loved the job itself. Treat your employees equally and get rid of the rude, hateful attitude. Give employees besides your favorites a chance to do other things rather than front and drive through and you might be able to keep employees. It's not hard to be kind to patients! I wouldn't recommend working at this pharmacy unless you enjoy feeling like you're less than, and if you do, just hope you become one of the favorites! I really cared about the patients and hope something changes so they can be treated with care and understanding!
