The pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have EVER been to in my life. They deserve zero stars. BEWARE:::: Some of the rudest, dumbest, most inconsiderate people around who also DO NOT KNOW about the meds they are giving you. I asked about the full name of my meds to save on the prescription with the app and she said she had no idea which one mine is. AM I EVEN GETTING THE CORRECT MEDICATION?!!!! Maybe not. First time I went there...Went to pick up my prescription and got to the counter to realize I left my wallet in the car and told the woman I would be right back. She just stared at me and said nothing. I came back a minute later to find the wall down like they're completely closed. Nice of her to tell me. What crappy customer service. Abysmal. EDIT TO ADD:: This is some of the worst customer service I have EVER experienced in my life. These women clearly hate their jobs. They all go to lunch at the same time, and close down for longer than they say they do. They are unhelpful and rude each and every time I go there, as if they can't be bothered. Went back here to pick up a prescription and the staff were kind and attentive. They seemed much more relaxed and organized now. The store was clean and well kept. The pharmacy department was still short staffed and there was a line but everything went more smoothly. read more

This is my go-to pharmacy in Asheville. They're located on Patton in West Asheville and are super easy to get to. They close at 9pm but the pharmacy closes at 6 on weekends. I've always had a great experience here. They always have my medications ready to go and the pharmacists and friendly and happy to answer questions or help find things. The store is always super clean, organized and well-stocked. It is brightly lit in the store and they carry all of the typical goods such as greeting cards, makeup, toiletries, medications, snacks, and holiday goodies. The staff at the check-outs are always really friendly as well. read more

Well do not waste your time with them! They never answer the phone. I have been on the phone over a hour waiting on a answer, but then someone hangs the phone up so I know they hear it!!!! we are trying to just ask a question and that is to hard for them! why even have a phone? We cant even get them to fix it on the computer so we can get it filled. so now we got to drive all the way there and wait 30 mins for them to even fill it! why even stay open?? read more

The absolute worse pharmacy. They close with no notice to their customers, closed all weekend and not very pleasant to their customers. They never update you when they say they will when you call in a prescription. I'd avoid this pharmacy like the plague. Surprising that Walgreens would allow such poor service at their store. read more

Worst pharmacy I've every visited. Was told my medication would be ready in thirty minutes. Came back an hour later to be told another 30 minutes to an hour. Still with a almost three hour drive home. And now I'm stuck in traffic on the the interstate. Thanks! For being in the health industry and not caring. Would give zero stars if I could read more

If you are going for your booster or flu shot, you might want to choose another location. I had an eleven o'clock appointment for my booster, and there was no one else waiting when I told them why I was there. They had me fill out paperwork and wait. I waited until eleven-thirty and still had not been called, and I had somewhere else to be. I finally got my shot when I asked for my vaccine card back because I couldn't wait any longer. I am not sure why I had to wait half an hour after my appointment time because no explained to me the delay. Why are they insisting on appointment times and then not honoring them? I heard them turn away two walk ups because they are insisting on appointments. The whole operation felt very slip-shod, renegade and disorganized. I plan on getting my flu shot at CVS. read more

This Walgreens I have chosen as my new pharmacy. Very clean and well lit store, and the staff is always very amiable. Located right at a light intersection, so easy to get into and out of, with lots of parking. They are pretty quick with the prescriptions, and its nice that they have such a variety of things there in case you have to wait for it to be filled. Everything from electronics, to home items, to food. Always cute things for the seasons, lots of good deals all the time, and if you're there and remember something you need from home, you will more than likely be able to pick it up there. They even have a dollar aisle too! Walgreens is definitely your one stop shop for when you don't feel like heading into your local grocery store. read more

Don't bother for controlled meds. I've been at this pharmacy for 2 months since my insurance quit CVS. Their phone system is always broken so I have to show up at least 3 times in person to 1)reorder 2)find out my meds aren't ready- 3)stage a protest to get them filled after DAYS (at least 2-4) of waiting. I absolutely hate that they are short staffed and it's causing issues but come on!! I called in my prescription yesterday morning and they said it would be ready by 3, I said I would probably be there around 5:30, I ended up not being able to make it by 6 so went today. I sat at the window for almost 15 minutes before so even acknowledged that I was there then cause what, prescription was not even ready and it's 10am the next day! This place is my go to pharmacy. I find the service to be exceptional, even though I always wait for my rxs. I never have waited more than 20 minutes, during which I wander the store. The store is spotless, clean beyond normal expectations, even the bathrooms. I find good deals also as a walgreens member, their points add up quickly and the discounts on sale items are ridiculous. I just picked up a 2 lbs jug of coffee for under 7 bucks. Granted it's not illy, but for a backup it'll work great. If you shop here for seasonal items, i.e. Christmas stuff during the holiday season YOU WILL GET ROBBED. After the season you can find phenomenal deals though, like the huge bag of candy I picked up after Halloween for 1/3 of the price. It was the deal of the century. All and all find the convenience of a short wait for rxs, the cheap prices on a lot of sale items and the idea that since they're national, you can fill your script anywhere in America. Make sure you count your pills from the pharmacy before you leave the building because they messed up on my daughters medication and gave her 5 less. An hour later when she politely called and told them it was incorrect they said they would check into it and called her back and said it was right but it was not. They wouldn't admit they messed up even though it is medication she must take daily and now will be 5 days short. She had no reason to lie about it but apparently they do. read more

Location location location. This spot, formerly know as Kerr Drugs, is nicely situation on Patten and serves the West Asheville community well in terms of proximity for prescriptions, etc. It's very easy to get in and out based on its locations along the Leicester Highway intersection. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you can't find an item. read more
