Ingles is our go-to grocery store when we are in Asheville. It has a really nice bakery with a variety of fresh, warm bread. It smells amazing! There are also some good store brand options. The lines can get a bit long, especially right after work. read more

I have always liked shopping at Ingles #134 in Candler, the store is well lit, the stock is always fronted, and Spencer is an awesome manager, always working the shelves, stocking, sweeping, and greeting customers with a smile and a hand shake. But this morning, 10/2/2025, I had a few items to get, and after getting them I decided to check out the breakfast bar. The young man waiting on customers was washing dishes, he stopped washing to wait on customers, he was wearing restaurant style serving gloves, but he wiped them off with a paper towel and commenced to touching food with those gloves he was washing dishes with. Now I know Ingles provides plenty of gloves for the employees to change out, which he did not. I don't know what type of chemicals are used to clean with, but a simple glove change would have been great so we as customers don't have to ingest that into our system. Tighten up Ingles before you poison someone. And I will be speaking to Spencer Richards about it when I see him again. read more

This review is for the amazing ladies at Sandwich station. It is a great experience, I highly recommend going to deli first. Ask for the type of Boars Head lunch meat you would like on the sandwich, they will also slice any type of cheese from the deli. This is no extra charge!!! read more

no organic, non-toxic menstrual pads. I went in specifically for the menstrual pads, and there are no non-toxic brands available. Super disappointing, especially because I live very close to the location and would like to shop here more often. read more

The fried chicken so dry you could not eat it. Gave it to animals outside. They $11.99 a lb baby swiss if you buy 8oz they charge $16 a lb. Crooked bastards. Ordered lb of cheese they did not put paper between each slice what stupid motherfuckers. Now cheese slices stuck together. I am done with ingles they think everyone ate up with dumbass. This store is HUGE and has anything you need plus some. They have lots of unique items such as boiled peanuts, local jams & bbq sauces, even a very nice selection of baby items and coolers. The organic section was so green it looked like they just picked the veggies. I paid $3.50 for some organic romaine lettuce. They had small jars of condiments... when you are on vacation, you don't need a big jar. I got a small Duke's mayo for $3. Klondike bars were on sale for $4 a pack of 6. Florida Natural OJ was about $3.75. I bought some NC mustard bbq sauce for $4 a bottle. A shrimp cocktail ring was a little expensive at $8. There is a large area to sit down and eat what is ordered at the deli. The store looked very clean. One random employee said hello just to be pleasant as I was shopping. I asked her if the store sold sushi and she told me where it was located. I took a look, but they didn't have the roll I like and there wasn't much selection. I like plain salmon roll or salmon with avocado. But I could have spent lots of time here looking at all the interesting variety of items. Really liked this grocery store. read more

I have never in my life had a more uncomfortable experience in a store. The cashier was one of the rudest people i've ever met! Aside from the rude cashier i saw two large bugs and the store was not the cleanest. There are much better places to spend you're money. read more

My boyfriend and I are from Texas and are road-tripping to Rockingham for a festival and stopped in for some groceries. Honestly, I feel like I am cheating on H-E-B!! The organization is wonderful and the employees are very friendly and helpful! At the Corner Deli we bought two salads, a sandwich, and some soup. It was all delicious, and the seating area was so convenient since we were ready to get back on the road. Wanita, Mary, Haley, and Vicki were extremely welcoming and took our experience to another level. LOVE IT! When we were checking out, Haley and Logan helped us with our over stuffed basket, and helped us get dry ice! Logan was extremely helpful and offered to help us to our car as well. Breakfast at any Ingles is consistently DIFFERENT. One would think it should be similar. What is similar? They are all Nasty unclean, rude employees, possibly managers that don't care, possibly...BUT, I'd say, this chain has just gotten to big and the powers that be are taking in the dough while the workers suffer and the customers get sub-par service! Candler, little town, big Corporate store, your dine in area was disgusting, breakfast was sad, I'm thankful I didn't have to go to the bathroom so I don't have to process through that one. read more

Just was at Ingles purchasing my friend some soup, etc. Had two styrofoam soup containers on top of each other. The lower container MELTED and burned my hand while I was at the self checkout. Not only did not one employee say "sorry" or "let me help you" or "I'll hold your place while you grab another", while the girl mopped it up I said, "those probably aren't very safe for holding soup I would guess" to which she said NOTHING to me. NOTHING. My hand is burned and my shirt is covered in soup now. No one even offered a napkin to clean my hand off. Thanks a lot for your attentive service and caring employees. Never coming back to this place. I'm pretty sure this is how lawsuits begin. read more

Hi I am Kalea using my friends account because I have yet not had time to make my own but have a review that can't go unsaid. I am a frequent shopper of this ingles that is in my community. I am in here at least 2 times a week getting subs from the deli. On a occasion there is a short black haired girl who is precious who gives extra condiments and smiles just to make my day better. But like today there were 2 women, one with glasses one without but both with a hair net bun and camo jackets over their uniform. Sorry but is that even allowed?? Uniform handbook please. The 6.93 that i paid for my 6inch sub turned out to be a 4inch. Not to mention it was made with hate and unhappiness which is obviously leading me to my complaint... it is not my fault you hate your job and i shouldn't be getting punished, or receiving dirty looks, comments etc. God bless these women, I hope they come to their senses. read more

What are you doing Ingles? I have been a regular customer at the store for around a year. The managers are as contrived as they come. It is clear they make an attempt to speak to you, for it is a requirement. Often times I am asked, "How are you today?" In a very insincere way by management as I shop, many times they don't even acknowledge my response. Please, don't get me stated on the store manager. He is one of the most egocentric people I have ever come across. He is always giving a phony smile to customers. The more money a customer spends, the bigger he smiles.. I feel sorry for the employees who have to put up with such condescending management. I will take my business elsewhere. read more
