Bright, clean, almost hidden jewel of a pharmacy. Thoughtful staff. Love the ability to text with them and get a reply quickly. My own problem is that I take a lot of meds, so it was a bit harder and confusing getting me set up and on the right dispensing schedule. But that wasn't SONA's fault. I am enjoying their services. I also have the ability to deal with my husband's account, which I truly love and appreciate. I love that I wait in line at the drive thru and if it's busy they actually come out to your car to get your prescription. Also depends on who is working I don't even have to tell them my name. Pharmacy that's actually an honest pharmacy - and not a convenience store that happens to have a pharmacy. They are friendly and efficient and the place is spot on professional. I was looking for a place to get my vaccine booster and my previous "pharmacy" canceled at the last minute. Sona was recommended to me by my doctors office and I followed through. Unfortunately, my first experience with Sona Pharmacy was unsatisfactory. I received a text message from the Arden location to call about a prescription my Dr placed with them. I phoned about a week ago and had a pleasant conversation with Franklin and advised him to fill the prescription. He told me it would be $105. I asked him if insurance would cover any of it any he said no and explained why. I asked him if he wanted me to pay for the prescription then. He said no. I could just pay when I picked it up. I went to pick the prescription up today. The young lady who helped me was polite and professional. She rang it up and the amount was $130. I told her I had spoken to Franklin and was told it would be $105. She said, let me call him. She returned several minutes later and informed me Franklin said he and I must have had a bad connection, or I misunderstood him. When he and I spoke, the connection was crystal clear. And no, I did not misunderstand him. I'm retired math teacher and unlikely to forget a number. In retrospect, I should have walked out and asked my doctor to send my prescription to a different compounding pharmacy. But I grudgingly paid and left a VERY disgruntled customer. I will never return and will spread the word to all my friends to avoid all of the Sona locations. If I had been told $150 or $200 at the onset, I wouldn't have blinked an eye. But for me to be held accountable for an employee's error is not acceptable. Furthermore, the employee shifts the blame to me rather than accept responsibility for their error. Twenty-five dollars won't send me to the poorhouse. Teaching was my encore career. Previously, I was an International Customer Service Manager for many years with major corporations (GE, RCA, 3M) and can recognize poor customer service. I see you're a relatively new business. I wish all entrepreneurs well and for them to be successful. I wish you no ill will. But I do hope you use this as a learning and coaching experience. read more

They received a prescription order from my Dr. and they didn't verify address as any pharmacy I have ever used does and they sent my B12 shot to the wrong address. This mistake cost me $125 and Sona won't take responsibility nor will my Dr's office. All my Dr's office said was well they do this a lot but we put up with it because it is affordable. Unless your me and they charge you $125 for a medication that is on ice and they send it to the wrong address. I received no phone call or a verification for the purchase. This same incident happened to my friend a few months ago. Whom I personally referrred to the med clinic and Sona pharmacy. Never again!! read more

BEST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!!!!! If you live in east Asheville and don't use this pharmacy you are missing out! The first time I transferred my prescriptions there they sent a hand written thank you note. They deliver for free. They have a Keurig machine with free coffee for guests. They use text notifications and will call me if they see I've put in an order for one Px but not another that is due soon so I can get them both at once. Once I had a struggle getting there to pick up because of my work schedule. They offered delivery, and long story short, they let me come in late to accommodate me. I cannot say enough good things about these people. I will never use a big corporate pharmacy again as long as I can use Blue Ridge Pharmacy! Please support wonderful local businesses like this one! They are a great local Pharmacy especially for those without a vehicle as they do offer free even same day delivery generally after 2 pm til 10 pm. They will also deliver OTC MEDICATIONS Such as Benadryl or Aspirin Name Brand or Generic. All at no charge sometimes they may have to order items if out but they have them in the next day. This is an exceptional small pharmacy. Our drug prescription plans recommends this facility as our "specialized pharmacy" because they can do tasks, such as compounding, not available at your typical drug store. We have appreciated the help they have provided to us in migrating off expensive drugs to a different combination of generics. They take time to explain the issues, and will also work with your doctors office, and talk directly to the insurance plan. I highly recommend them. read more
