Pharmacy is good. Pharmacists are helpful. Like many places they are automating their customer check-in process. Now one must enter personal data into a touch screen about yourself and the medications one is picking up. The CVS Pharmacy area is often extremely busy. They handle the majority of prescription customers in this super fast growing city of Anna, TX. One must have some patience, stay calm, have a little understanding (there are only two local pharmacies handling all of Anne, TX + surrounding small town areas. Sometimes mistakes are made. Check your prescription before you leave. All the mistakes get corrected or are explained calmly why they are not mistakes. Customers could stand to "shut up", stop interupting, and listen a bit more. If people can try to understand what is being explained to them, instead of immediately assuming that the Pharmacy wrong. Yelling is un acceptable. Times are changing and local pharmacies are not as friendly places as they used to be. If more people would have a bit more patience and calmness, the majority of pharmacists are perfectly capable of figuring out the complexities of insurance coverage and pricing for all types and shapes of prescriptions and medications. Yes, most CVS pharmacies generally don't answer their phones anymore. They are under staffed. They would appreciate if customers to leave clear, easy to understand phone messages with their birthdate, name, phone number and succinct message. I agree with most everyone about not liking the automated phone answering systems at businesses, but this is how things are now at almost all pharmacies accross the country. AI is here to stay. Personal service exists in fewer places. BUT, good service still exists in many places. The Anna CVS Pharmacy is working on it. Their service has greatly improved from last year (2025). On the other hand, many customers don't understand the new technology, systems, and methods. They want others to figure out what they are supposed to get, but at a lower price and be fast about it. These customers also seem angrier and more rude than ever before. After reading many of the other reviews already posted for the Anna CVS Pharmacy, I am sure I have seen and listened to some of the authors around town. Perhaps they could look in the mirror and notice the corner cutting, illegal parking place taking, trash dropping, rolling stop sign stopping, tailgating, mobile phone distracted, Anna citizen that they have become. Perhaps if more people came better prepared with the information they need to pick up their prescriptions and tried a little harder to be good customers, they would help all of us get better service. On the other had, there are a few of the CVS Pharmacy employees who could use a course in a live classroom (No VIDEOs) about good people skills along with some real time supervised practice using their newly learned skills. They are towing people if you are not a customer. Don't use their lot if you are picking up from Chipotle. Lesson learned. I won't be spending another dollar at this CVS. Just an utterly garbage location. The pharmacy has Crappy service, pharmacy takes FOREVER, and they won't even do the courtesy of answering the phone anymore. They hate the customers. Ok I'm gonna rant about CVS Anna. We changed drug insurance in Dec and received all the formulary catalogs. My wife got a new prescription and had it sent to the preferred pharmacy CVS to be filled. We picked it up today and instead of the Formulary price of $15.00 they had a discount card to get it down to $38.59 from $117 and basically told her to take it or leave it. I called our new insurance company and was told CVS gave her the wrong drug land not the one that was prescribed! I called CVS to let them know this could have been a life altering mistake they made. I was very curtly told once we left the pharmacy there was no way they could take it back. Sure there was they could throw the wrong one away and give us the correct prescription. No way they would do that. I would caution anyone using CVS to make sure they give you the right drugs! read more

Where do i begin? They don't answer phones. They are beyond rude, lack zero customer service skills. Hour long waits. They have no system going on that makes the chaos organized, i mean, it's busy, you need to have some sort of organization going on. One med you might wait 3 days for, so if you're looking to get your meds quickly, painlessly, and efficiently, go to the Walmart pharmacy right by there. Literally, basically avoid this place at all costs. I would rather take a cheese grater to my face than have to get a medication filled at this place, it's torture. read more

Wow waited in line behind 3 cars for 30 minutes get to the window and they told me they were closed. Whats the point of having a drive up window if its not foe the speed of service. You all need to read your reviews apparently guest service is not needed by you. I hope they open another drugstore soon in Anna then we will see what happens to your buesiness. read more

The pharmacy staff is HATEFUL and can never prescriptions correctly. When questioned about it they become hostile and tell you that you don't know what your talking about, when in fact I had already talked to the insurance to confirm. Do yourself a favor and pick a better pharmacy! read more

This CVS is so SLOW. I went there to get tested for covid in the drive thru pharmacy. There were 3 cars in front of me and I waited two hours in line. When I finally got to the window they had me wait another 30 minutes to receive my test. Absolutely ridiculous. I don't know if they need more pharmacists or what, but I would definitely not recommend. My boyfriend got a covid test from a CVS in mckinney the SAME day and only took 15 minutes. read more

I waited almost 2 weeks for a medication they told me would be filled the next day... every time I went to pick it up, they said they had to order it and to come back tomorrow to pick it up. 2 weeks of that... they refused to transfer the prescription to another CVS. If I could give this location 1/2 star, I would. The service is terrible and employees are not very helpful or knowledgeable on the floor. It is terribly under staffed and always slow. Often times no one is at the register when I am ready to check out and after waiting around for some time, I will have to go searching for someone to check me out. I was excited about the new curbside option! (I no longer would have to deal with the terrible service inside) When I placed my order at 2:00pm, all was well. I was told I would receive a text when my order was ready (1 hour max) I received no text that my order was ready. I showed up at my scheduled pick up time and texted the number listed on the parking space that I was "here" as per the instructions. I received no response. 10 minutes after my scheduled pick up time, I called to see if it was ready: The phone rang at least 15 rings with no answer. At this point, My husband had to go inside and the associate was "unaware" of any orders. She looked at her phone and my husband could visibly see 10 or so unopened notifications from the app. What's the point of it being curbside if we have to go in?! She said she would get the order ready. At 3:46, After a total of 46 minutes of waiting in the car outside with our two children under the age of two, our order was finally brought out to our car. She motioned for us to roll the window down and attempted to push the toilet paper and groceries through the window to my husband. He had to tell her to stop and instruct her on how to load the giant package of toilet paper and the rest of our items into the open trunk of the car! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! CVS stands for Convenience Value Service. This CVS is the bottom of the barrel. They do not live up to their name. read more

The manager of the store (not the pharmacy employees - this review does not discuss them as I have no knowledge regarding that part of the store) is very helpful and if you engage her when she has time, is very helpful. I needed hand sanitizer (we have none in the house and our foreign exchange student wanted some just for safety sake) and the manager was so helpful in letting me know when their next shipment was coming in and that she would hold some for me. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. We waited in line for AN HOUR AND A HALF just to get to the window and the lady looked us in the eye and CLOSED THE WINDOW IN OUR FACE. Now my daughter who has a very painful ear infection has to go a whole extra day with no relief!!!!! Inconsiderate and horrible customer service. I just waited in line for the pharmacy 50 minutes (there was only 5 cars ahead of me ). The car in front of me held up the line for 15 minutes. When I pulled up at 8:00 pm the employee closed the gate and wouldn't even have eye contact . Horrible customer service ! Why didn't someone walk outside and tell people they were going to do that and to not wait almost an hour . They seem to always put new employees at the window that have no idea what they are doing . I have a cold so I didn't go inside around people . I am so mad right now ...this town is growing and soon we will have better options and won't have to put up with rotten customer service . read more

This pharmacy is the slowest CVS I have every been to. The medication is never ready. If you call to refill it, it is still not ready on time. They always have an excuse on why it is not ready either. When you are waiting in line in the store, it is horrible. If the person's medication is not ready, they will not go to the next person in line. You have to wait until they fill their medication and then they will move onto the next person. If your in a hurry, don't go and pick up your meds. Expect to be there at least 20 minutes. Someone needs to seriously look at how to run this store more efficiently. I moved here 4 months ago and every doctor that I have seen told me to go to a different pharmacy. That is sad if doctors are trying to steer you away from this pharmacy. read more

This review is about a prescription that was screwed up a while back. My doctor electronically submitted my Rx to the CVS in Anna since it was convenient for me when I get home late in the evening. Order was sent in at about 10am, I pick up the meds around 6:30pm thru the drive thru window. Everything seems ok, smooth transaction, insurance on file, everything nice and smooth. I get home and before I take a pill.... I notice they are much longer and different colors than what the label described the pill to be (white, oval with a letter and number stamped on it). The ones I were given were blue and pink, with a plastic-ish outer texture and were long-rectangular shaped pills, instead of the tiny small round/oval pills (that are about the size of a sesame seed). Common sense told me I shouldn't take this pill as it was not as how the label described. This was a new Rx for me so I didn't know what the pill was or how it should have looked. The next day I go to speak with an assistant and describe the situation, and she then asks the actual pharmacist (some Indian lady) what to do/how to proceed. The Pharmacist then apologized, and confirmed they "made an error" and asked me to wait until they actually filled the right prescription. About 15 minutes later, she gives me the correct Rx and refunds my money and apologizes and keeps apologizing. I give credit as they did fix the error and essentially gave me free meds due to their error, rather quickly as I just waited for them to give me what I needed in the first place, but, alas, If I was an idiot or just lazy and didn't read the label then I would have ingested some other pill intended for someone else for some disease or condition that I dont have, and much worse: that other person may have received the pills intended for me and potentially could have gotten worse or as a result, even DEATH, had they not been diligent. I'm no doctor, or have anything remotely to do with the medical/health care field, but I just believe that IF i got someone else's meds, and they possibly have mine, and had I not actually read the label and consumed a hazardous health risk and possibly 2 deaths could have occurred due to the lack of attention or accountability to detail, I'm assuming CVS would be responsible? Lets' say I did take a few pills and poison control is over here pumping things in/out of my body because I was given the wrong thing? Lastly, I greatly suspect that the reason I was given a "full refund" and was treated so nicely was for me to just get the hell outta here and not say anything so the pharmacist probably didn't have to fill out any paperwork or report anything to whatever governing agency or department that overseas the compliance of pharmaceuticals these pharmacies have to report to? Also, they are overpriced on stupid things like shampoo or toilet paper or whatever. Brookshires and DG thankfully fill the void here in town until walmart arrives. read more

My doctor visit for myself and child sent us over to CVS in Anna to get our prescriptions. What a mistake to use this place. Dr called in 4 Rx for my child and gave me a sheet of 3 I could get filled. As I went to the window to get my 1 prescription filled she asked me what the others were for. I explained my doctors reasoning for giving me prescription, but felt like it was none of her concern. Then I proceed to tell her I wanted mine and my child's (which was called in) on my insurance. She took my insurance card and told me it would be done in 15 minutes. I hear our name on the intercom and go to the pick up desk. What a time there!!! I had to spell my first 3 letters 5 times as this man kept repeating it wrong and got kinda snarly. I spent at least 15 minutes watching this man walk in circles trying to find my prescriptions. The manager and tech were just chatting away. He asked the tech once for any prescriptions for me and she just pointed to a wall of others. Found 1 YAY!! If I would have felt better I might have cheered. I was watching the dynamics of this crew and couldn't believe how there was no organization, communication or professionalism. The man finally found them all(scattered about in boxes, baskets) as sweat was literally dripping down his face. He comes to me and says, "sign", "sign again", "swipe card", "sign again". The last thing that happens the manager throws in another box of meds and tells me,"you don't have to refrigerate this," I just wanted to get home. I should have been counseled on my medication, right? Or asked if I wanted help in knowing what I was taking or giving to a child. I don't think I've ever left a pharmacy with a new prescription and hadn't been asked to go over them. After getting home with a sick kid and trying to read about 5 prescriptions I notice the one she tossed in I didn't even want and won't use. $20 of wasted meds!! Then a note written on one stands out saying it wasn't under insurance because it failed to go thru. So now I'm on the phone with insurance and she's upset. She's telling me that's their job to run every Rx and there was no attempt at all. She was quite intent on me calling and relaying that message. On to the CVS pharmacy. I talk to the manager who put the blame on her tech, then herself, then the tech. Then asks me to come in "now" for a refund of difference. "Hello?"she says. "Yes, Im here and not about to drive 10 minutes at night & sick to get a refund." Then today is the real kicker. I'm feeling better and as I am giving my kid medicine, I notice there is only going to be a day left for him to take...but the bottle says for 6 days. So now I have another problem. They gave me half of what he is suppose to have. They wasted my time, money, more time, more money and more of my time. I have to now go back and get the rest of my child's meds. I will then never step foot into this place again. read more

This has to be the most absurd pharmacy ever. They have lapsed on my prescription so often due to their incompetence, that now any future refills have expired... Twice! Now I have to go without, because of their ineptitude... again. I'd sooner go without before filling any prescription with them again. read more

I watched an altercation happen at this location simply because the cashier did not call for backup. once his line got to be more than six people. there were two to three other workers walking around the store facing items. the altercation I saw was between two females one at the register who didn't understand the savings that she had purchased the man medium build with a buzz or balding hair cut explained it to her in more ways than one but she just couldn't understand. One lady a few people ahead of me put down her things and left... this all happened at 6:30. Another lady asked for another cashier to come up and help. the lady at the register was very rude to this woman just because she asked for more help up at the register. This altercation didn't have to happen if the man would have just called for backup. after I got my items I went out to the parking lot the lady that couldn't understand her receipt took pictures of the lady that asked for backup on the register. The lady was in a red SUV. she also took pictures of two other cars. it was very weird. she had a passenger with her. Please teach your cashiers to call for backup when there is a line more than 4 customers. read more
