For an hour they just kept repeating "This action cannot be taken." "No further action can be taken." What a waist of money to pay people to sit there and talk like robots (it was a real person though) instead of just givng me the fair price. I had hoped that this problem directly caused by the self checkouts would dissipate as people got used to thenew technology. The exact opposite has occurred. There is not a better day/time to shop at this location. These were installed as part of recent "remodelled" that makes finding non-food items more difficult. I think they were trying to make their front end resemble a local competitor?? They are finally re-adding an outdoor plant section. Either way, until they fix the checkout issue it is not worth visiting this location. They have purposely make the Pharmacy option more visible than the store option so I am putting this in both places. After 4-5 months, I realized that the Service and knowledge that Yi was accustomed to receive was not present at the local Smiths. I left a message and asked if they could move my prescriptions back. Smiths advertises digital coupons and discount prices. But, I check my receipt after each time I…read morego and the prices are wrong on multiple items 3 out of 4 times. I always have to contact customer service and get a credit. It is nice I can get a credit, but on top of the lengthy time you have to search for relevant digital coupons, it is annoying you have to spend more time contacting customer service to fix their mistakes. Produce is often sketchy at this location too. With bad spots, rotten produce amongst the fresh, and produce that never ripens, or goes bad within a day or two of bringing it home. Items are frequently out of stock. Both sale items and regular items. Employees can rarely be found, except the ones that are shopping for customers and they don't want to answer your questions because they have to shop in a specific amount of time and get on to the next customer they are shopping for. Shelves are dirty frequently. I reported a shelf as sticky 4 weeks in a row and it never got cleaned. I gave up reporting it. But this store is better than the really overpriced one down the street and is really the only other one in the area. So I continue to go.

I had a time when I was rushing at the last minute before they closed to get my medications and realized that I would be a couple of minutes after they closed. I called to double check their close time (hoping I was wrong - I wasn't) but they agreed to stay those few minutes so that I could get my medicine. While I don't recommend taking advantage of their kindness in this manner, it is just one way that they have shown that they care more about the people than big box pharmacies.
