I just got off the phone with a female cvs pharmacy rep, I was told that she needed my new insurance info..when I was about to give her the info, she then put me on hold for a couple of minutes and then a male answers the phone..I explained to him that I was suppose to give the female assisting me earlier my insurance info and he said that she went to lunch and wouldn't be back for another 30mins..I told him that I just spoke with her two seconds ago and told him that their service is horrible..he puts me on hold and then the female rep comes back on the phone and says that they don't have the medication in stock ??!!!! 4/3/14 2130 Main St Alhambra CA Today would've only been the 2nd time that I'm using my cvs card. The in store coupon machine was simple. Tonight it didn't scan after 2 attempts, I tried to touch the screen to enter my phone#. The screen seems frozen. I asked for help. Her name tag showed shift supervisor. She rudely told me "Why are you touching the screen when all you gotta do is this?" (She aggressively took my card and tried to scan it.) She did this to me in front of my kids. She then told me, go to the back there's another machine there. As I walked away, she walked behind me and kept saying "keep going keep going" out loud. It even got the attention of the other store employees and customers.When I tried the other machine, it didn't work either so she the said, they're updating the system, you'll just have to wait. Then she left me alone. She embarrassed me. It was a bad experience. Now I'm having 2nd thoughts about going back there. That B made me feel stupid. read more

I literally had the best service here last week! I don't ever read or write reviews on drugstores or markets but the cashier, Jennifer, really left a great impression on me. The workers are always nice there, usually always greeting people whenever they enter the store. They also try to keep the line moving as well, when they only have one cashier, they will utilize two cash registers so the next person in like don't have to wait for the previous person to move out of the way. There are so many places now that have a shortage of employees and the wait for everything is so long, but the manager at this CVS seems to adapt a better system and keep customers happy. What really stood out to me was Jennifer that random day last week. I came to buy mouth wash but ended with some other things as well. There was a $6 coupon if I purchased 3 mouthwash so when I went to the line, I asked the cashier if I get the $6 off right away or next purchase. She suggest that I purchase the mouthwash separately since we don't know if it's instant rebate or not. Long story short, we split two transactions and I saved $6 on the spot and was able to score another $2coupon to use. My daughter was with me and she really likes a stuff animal there. Of course I used the $2 coupon toward it. A lot of people mostly just do their jobs without thought but I really liked how Jennifer was able to suggest and help me save money. She could of just rung everything up and give me a coupon for next time. She took extra time to delete some transactions so I can split the purchase. I hate that this is the closest drugstore to me... Rite Aid is nearby, but they don't have rewards like this place does.. Or good ones. Anyway, every time I come here I feel like I'm seriously being watched and they have like NO shame announcing over the speaker for another employee to do a search on isles "blank to blank" It always happens to be one of the isles I'm in. There is only ever ONE register open, and this lady with glasses always feels the need to comment on stuff that I'm buying. I bought hair dye, and she basically told me that it was a good thing I was dying my hair. WTF! And I returned something a few minutes after walking out from buying it because the advertised price was wrong.. I should've scanned it myself first, but she QUESTIONED me when I was returning it. I called the pharmacy around 8pm wondering if they carried a product I wanted. I was then put on hold for 17 minutes(which I did not mind) however, the lady who had "helped me" gave an answer within 1 minute and hung up on me not asking if I had any other questions to ask. She also had trouble hearing what I had been asking for over the phone and when I told her what product I had wanted, she snappily told me she never heard of it and that they don't carry it. Her voice was very condescending and ugh. I had other questions to ask but I won't be calling back to wait another 15 minutes and to possibly talk to her again. read more

This location is fine as a CVS. It's in a convenient location for me. It's open 24 hours (although the pharmacy itself is not). It has a parking lot shared with Chase and usually there's a lot of parking available. Items are priced a little high as are all other CVS locations. Lines can get a little long, though, since most of the time (at least when I visit) there is only one cashier at checkout. read more

This CVS in particular is less than 3 years old. It recently became a 24 hour CVS. They are well stocked on items and if they run out of a particular item they will either order it for you or offer a rain check. They also honor regular coupons and you can save some bucks if you also use their free CVS "Extra Care" card. I love ordering my digital print online in the comfort of my home and picking up my prints an hour later in the store. They sell gift cards at this location which saves time instead of driving all over town going to each individual store buying the same thing. The staff is helpful and there is plenty of outside lot parking. read more

Been using this cvs for prescriptions but I felt compelled to write a review due to the experiences I received at the pharmacy here. The store is fine..this review is only for the pharmacy. The staff in the pharmacy are not friendly. There's a tech there that has an attitude problem, perhaps bc she's not happy there? (Who knows, but you don't treat customers rudely). I feel rushed every time I'm there. I don't get notification that my prescription is ready even though I'm enrolled in their notification system..I've mentioned this to one male staff and he doesn't even care. He just says, I'm not sure why. I'm forced to call and be placed on hold for about 10 min just to see if it's ready. They're very busy, I can see that, but aren't all pharmacies? I just wished I could like this place more bc they're close to home. Think I'll just go back to the Target pharmacy. read more

This is the worst cvs I have ever visited, the girl cashier who wears glasses name starts with "M" is the most rude one. Never even a smile but just be angry at you all the time, seems like she hates everyone in the store and gives everyone a face " why r u guys shopping here? Just had to pick up medication for myself and my son. Dropped off my prescription with Lorena who was very nice and apologetic and said it would be about an hour which was fine with me as i only live down the street. I picked up our meds from Kim one of the Pharmacy Techs there who was very nice, very helpful, and accommodating when I asked her to please put some of the medication back as I had misplaced my ATM and only had my teen son's account. The reason I'm giving it THREE stars is for the Pharmacist, I believe her name was Eunice and older lady with short hair. She was HORRIBLE!!! Maybe it's a language barrier as I was not able to understand her english but both my son and I both felt she did a terrible job at at explaining the medication. We each had 4 types of medication with the labels reading "TAKE AS DIRECTED" and she said just follow the labels??? I'm like really? That's ALL YOU CAN TELL ME? I had to stop her for a moment with one of the medications and ask more questions but didn't get different results so I just gave up and decided to look it up myself!! As I was waiting I noticed that she was fussing with one of her techs about something that wasn't communicated between them and from an outsiders perspective, it seems this Pharmacist depends more on her Pharmacy Techs to fill her in on what to do. So don't rely on that Pharmacist to be able to explain your meds too well and just ask your Dr. and look them up yourself! read more

Last Thursday, I received outstanding customer service from Shakeema, an employee located at the Somerset, NJ CVS. When I entered, I went to the register and asked where the two items I wanted were located. Shakeema told me which isles to check. When I returned to the check-out, I told her I had only been able to find one of the two items. The store was not busy, no one was at the register and another employee, Stephen, was behind the counter. Shakeema, told Stephen she was going to leave her location to assist me in finding the other item. She had been correct about the two locations, but the product I could not find was sold out. She made a suggestion, that she had used another brand of the same product and had liked it very much. I choose to purchase that alternate product. What Shaleema had not known prior to her volunteering to assist me is that I had experienced a serious eye injury one week earlier (I was still under a doctor's care and treatment with medicated eye drops) so her assistance was extremely helpful to me. I could not read the small print on the shelves to know the product was sold out. Shakeema went above and beyond her role as the cashier, she was instrumental in creating my purchase of the alternate product (an additional sale for CVS) and she made a customer (me) very happy. Five stars for Shakeema!! Stephen was also very good in that he covered the front cashier station while Shakeema assisted me. They both worked as a team to provide me with excellent service. There is a reason this Pharmacy has 2.5 stars overall. The combination of arrogance, rudeness, and incompetence is a losing combination. I had a prescription called in by my dentist When I went in to pickup the lady said nothing in your name. I asked "do you mean nothing ready to pickup up or no prescription at all". The lady looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. She was rude about it and did not offer any explanation or suggestion. I went out to the parking lot and called my dentist office so as not to make a scene. My dentist's office confirmed that the prescription had been called in. I went in again and as I approached the window a different lady was giving attitude with every ounce of her being before I ever spoke. She was rude and patronizing, acting as if I was somehow at fault in this problem. Neither one of these CVS employees made the slightest attempt at problem solving or apologizing for the confusion. Their attitude was that both I and the dentist's office were wrong and that was the end of the matter. As others have said, I called the dentist back and had the prescription called in to Walgreen's where they just act like normal human beings. I have not made a negative post on Yelp before as far as I remember. I was so angry that I had to get this out of my system. read more

If I could give this store a negative rating, I would. It is with utmost concern that I write this review regarding an experience that happened with my sister at this CVS store. It was just brought to my attention that my sister with my teen-aged nephew and niece visited this store approximately 3 months ago on a Sat. As she walked in the store, she immediately saw a lady (late 20's/early 30's) stealing many packages of makeup by putting them in her back pack. Against my sister's better judgment she confronted the lady who became verbally aggressive threatening to "bitch slap" her. My sister & the kids went to the front counter but the clerk refused to help or call the police. The clerks basically ignored her and continually rang up customers. What my sister didn't know was that the lady called in friends from her car who came in & continued to harass my sister. My sister asked for the manager who was not on site at all! My sister was going to call the police but just left altogether while being cursed by these people. My sister called the manager later that day and when asked why the clerks didn't help, she was told that the clerks were busy helping customers and the manager didn't seem to care or apologize. He just said he would not let that lady in the store again.... really? Good work management! Like he saw her or could even prevent that. Just so you all know, the lady's backpack was never search and she stole many many items. We will absolutely never go back to any CVS store again. It is extremely sad to think what could of happened to my sister without the help of anyone.... knowing all along she was just trying to be a good citizen. It is not surprise that ratings on this store are horrible. They really need to work on customer service and safety. Good bye CVS, hello Rite Aide. read more

This place is so close to home. Yet the service comical. The pharmacy manager is head peacock on some power trip. She struts her feathers and says.. I'm the boss. She hen pecks her staff to the point her staff doesn't know how to answer some of the simplest questions. She hides in the center of the pharmacy doing and never seems to want to interact directly with the customers? Didn't know Alhambra had so many lepers. I waited 10 minutes to get a consultation. Next time I will make an appointment. Got some antibiotic pink stuff for my neice..and they said they had no spoon for us to measure with us. They said I could drive to another CVS and they would be happy to help us. I asked if they wern't happy to us. On another occasion I saw someone sneeze on the counting tray.. Can I say gross. Well i guess if they were counting some antibiotics it would be okay. Well my time is almost up here. Gota move on. Their lights often don't work. The other night the V on CVS was out leaving.. CS.. maybe it is apremonition .. Crime scene. Sigh. Can't i just get my pills in a clean bottle? read more

If you need a vaccination for college or some other purpose where you need to show proof, do not go to this CVS. They did not have the standard proof of vaccination card that is normally signed by a nurse or doctor administering the shot. They only tell you this once you have already received and paid for the vaccination. I needed the proof the same day so I could fax to my school and register for classes. The only thing they gave me was a pharmacy receipt, which after me asking several times the pharmacy manager (not the person who administered the vaccination) signed reluctantly. If you're slowing them down by asking them for a standard proof of vaccination they just start making up stuff like you don't need it or have the school call the pharmacy. The only people less interested in helping than a pharmacy is college administration staff. And you can't/shouldn't get a second measles vaccination, so then you're stuck. If CVS can't offer a proof of vaccination like a doctor or a clinic they shouldn't be allowed to give them at all in my opinion. read more

I must agree w/ the bad sentiment here. Same thing happened to me, I was told I would have an Rx ready in 30 minutes, 2.5 hours later it just gets filled. They don't care, very poor customer service, ineptitude in time estimates. Also they mentioned since I was pressed for time they would call my physician after they sent a fax to renew and of course that never happened. They make promises to just get you off the phone. They are HORRIBLE. These people should go work at a car wash, they can go jerk someone else around because I sure won't be back. I had my wife wait there w/ our three kids for an hour and she had to go back since one particular pharmacist can't tell time very well not that it would change their lives any.......I guess by some miracle they still actually get paid!! I switched over to another pharmacy. Suggest you all do the same. I was also told I had to come back again earlier in the day because their pharmacists were all out to lunch.
