Yes, they had the over counter item I needed, but man, their customer service is absent. For years, there's only been a self check out option at all the CVSes that I've gone to - which is a sore annoying thorn for me - but this one, I walk up to the self check out and a woman is glued to a video on her phone with an entertained smile on her face. No acknowledge to me or a care for customer service. Nothing. In fact, she moved further away just so she could keep watching her phone. To boot, she was at least in her 40s. Ugh. Then when I check out with a cough syrup, the "self check out machine" flags me for an age restricted item, which prompted a different woman, out of the blue, to walk up and "clear" my machine without a hello or a let me see your ID or a how are you. Nothing. She literally said nothing to me as she walked up to clear my age restricted item. She didn't even enter my birthday or tell me to enter it myself. WTF. The customer service of CVS has been shit for a long time and every time I come to one, I wonder why do I come here. This experience has prompted me, from here on out, to go out of my way to another option. Farewell CVS. read more

Transferred here last year after my old CVS closed - since then I've had multiple good experiences with the head pharmacist. She's been really helpful navigating prescription cost issues; when I messaged the store about a rx refill/switch issue, she called me quickly and talked it out, and was really helpful in advising me. (It's crazy how much slightly different dosage formulations can have huge price consequences.) She's also given me a few shots over the last year and each time I've been struck by her demeanor; not sure how else to say it, but she has a quiet, focused kindness while providing health care. I get the sense it's a high-volume location and there's quite a bit of stress on the employees -- and I -really- get the sense all the pharmacy staff have 'been through the wars' with rude and demanding customers, especially the last few years, but every pharmacy interaction I've had has been pleasant and helpful. read more

I went to CVS this evening and purchased about $140 in various items throughout the entire store. I was followed around by 4 individuals. A female at the pharmacy asked if I needed help although I was no where near the line and appeared to have been instructed to come over from the opposite end of the pharmacy to check on my family and I. The manager and one of the cashiers appeared to be texting back and forth about us. Another employee came over to our cart viewing the items within. A male asked if wanted to buy perfume behind the case that I was not looking at or inquiring about. A female cashier firmly told me that she noticed that I had been there a long time and if I was waiting on the Pharmacy or needed help because I am taking way too long. I simply asked if she was timing me and with that I checked out as she watched me checking out instead of politely offering to assit me at the register. I admit I was there an awfully long time, 2 hrs to be exact but that does not excuse being harrassed and employees timing you when you read labels of items that you are actually buying. CVS staff when you see families with anyone who is disabled in their group a bit of sensitivity goes a long way but that also is of no concern. read more

Then I had to call the other pharmacy to do it because they were "too backed up" at this location. I called about a prescription to find out the price before driving there, because I knew my insurance didn't cover it, and was on hold for over 40 min....needless to say I had to drive up there anyway. I don't know why I am just finding out about this CVS location - I love the convenience that it's opened 24 hours, 7 days a week, which INCLUDES the pharmacy! How awesome is that?! This location may seem slightly outdated in terms of your aesthetic viewing pleasure, but it still has all the necessary items you need - beverages, snacks, cold/flu medications, toiletries, hair products, magazines, holiday products, photo section, etc. The pharmacists and techs that assisted me were nice and professional, and I had only waited for about 15 minutes for my medication to be ready. The low ratings are accurate: I had TWO ITEMS, used the scanner (which I normally like) and both rang up incorrectly (overage of $9 total). The woman working at the registers could not get it to work correctly, she called a supervisor, I had to explain the big two-item transaction and what the other woman did, and finally was able to pay and get the hell out. I'm currently standing in line to pick up my medication and this is the second time. The first time I came earlier the pharmacy pick-up line was almost to the door. Estephanie is wonderful. Customers were yelling at staff (in protest of the 1:30 lunches break, at no fault of staff) and she managed to handle the unruly customers and take care of her staff. I never ever leave bad reviews EVER but wow. Worst place ever. They told the 3 people in front of me that their insurance wasn't accepted, and they all said it definitely was. I went up and they told me that mine wasn't accepted. I called my insurance and they said they definitely work with cvs? I waited there for an hour while the pharmacist was filling other prescriptions and ignoring me. Finally he comes over. And then tells me to come back in an hour. I come back and he says that it's still not working. I went here last year and dealt with the same craziness. I don't go to CVS much and last night it just reminded me why I don't go there much. I refuse to spend my money at this place when Harris Teeter is just a block away and also opens 24/7. me: "Do you have more of this eyedrop? This box is already open" staff: "I don't know." Yep, just a plain "I don't know" instead of "I'll go check" or "we are all sold out". When I was leaving, I notice one of the item I purchased didn't ring up under its sales price. I showed the clerk where I got the item and the sign with the advertised price. He said someone in the back made a mistake and that was not suppose to be on sale. If someone did indeed made a mistake, most stores will still sell you the item under the sales price and then go back and correct the problem so it doesn't mislead more customers. He pretended he doesn't know what I was talking about and refused to give me a refund. I ended up returning the item and took my business elsewhere (aka Harris Teeter). Moral of the story: It doesn't pay to be lazy. Just drive one extra block, go to Harris Teeter, and avoid the frustration of dealing with dumb people. read more

The pharmacists are top notch!!!, the rest of the staff are not. This pharmacy has lost its edge after years of being my number one pharmacy due to its efficient and competent staff, working telephone system, and knowing how to enter medication refills so they will fill on the correct date. The pharmacists are still great. They are friendly, professional, if not clearly overworked. The pharmacy techs I've dealt with the past 6 months seem to have trouble, however. They schedule refills for the wrong dates, enter "hold" reasons that are inaccurate, and while the pharmacists will schedule the medications to be filled on the eligibility date, or at least let you fill it using the app on the correct date, the techs don't know how to do this. if someone else does it I can guarantee it's going to cost you so much more time: You'll call to place your refill, sit on hold for 45 minutes, then disconnected. After doing that three times you'll have to go to the store anyway, only to wait in line for 40 minutes. There goes your entire morning or afternoon. It took me 4.5 hours just to get a refill order placed. read more

Awful Awful service. I have had to use CVS for medications due to my insurance coverage at work. I take a few different meds every month and have for years. ONE MED IN PARTICULAR, 9 out of 10 time I have to fight to get this medication filled. They never have in stock! I have had to switch to a different location to get this medication filled. Then 2 months go by and I have to do the same thing over. My doctor send in the script electronically and then they tell me they can send it to another location - I then have to call my doctor and have them send to a different location. This can take 3 to 4 days before that's done. Last month it was 5 days without the medication. It never ends. But yet theses pieces of garbage at CVS will call your doctor and get refills on meds I no longer take just so they can rake in insurance payments! We are so screwed by CVS! read more
