BAD REPUTATION!!! DON'T GO HERE!!! Serious Insurance mix-ups, sleepy and uncaring staff, miscommunications between office staff, no faxes sent, have to call them everyday to ask them to send a fax, takes 2 weeks! Nightmere communication between staff and doctors. Have to call and nearly explain to the staff how to do their jobs. They don't listen... lazy and not pro-active. "I don't have the number" and then just silence. You have to say, "well, can you get the number?". In a local FB group, I asked for recommendations to a cardiovascular doctor and answers came back "Don't go to CVAM!" This place has the worst reputation. My boyfriend had major open heart surgery there and there were mixups. Would not be surprised if they have a class action lawsuit. I went in for a heart monitor. They had an intern who asked many questions for about 20 minutes. The doctor came in, and the intern didn't tell him very much. So, the quesitons had to be asked all over again. Very disorganized. And then the doctor asked me a personal question that had absolutely nothing to do with my heart condition. read more

Hubby was on a moniter when I noticed a change in his mental status ... he has a pacer and a Medtronic devic to download EKGs to the CVAM so I thought ... the reality is no one was checking that strip .. Ron has had a pacer for over 15 years .... So hubby continues to decline ...I remember (me not them) and reactivate the remote info ..... after 3 falls, a subdural hematoma and 10 weeks in skilled care ..... the pacer is not working correctly and I am still awaiting a date for change ... I hope you consider a different group for you loved one ....Dr Ambrose is not in my experience a safe choice.:: read more

It's been 5 years since I first sought your health advice and never have I felt insulted as I did this morning. I travel long distance to see you, undergone heart procedures you have ordered, and take your prescribed medications and never expected to be mocked as I was this morning. I too am a doctor, in a different field of study and would never tell my students I am too busy to share my expertise. I am who I am today because of Gods will and the students I teach. I don't know TJM, but clearly my experience was a complete opposite of his. This was a followup after my Stress Test, which went well. Seth discussed the results with me, as well as a new prescription and a follow up visit. Explanations were clear, all my questions were answered, next step discussed along with some new medication. 1 star for some of the office staff in Mesa who are abrupt, rude and seem annoyed to even be working. Gilbert staff seems a little bit better but not what it used to be. When checking out at Mesa, they are the rudest. They talk down to you, they tell you "just wait", don't look you in the eye, very very impatient. I hate going to the Mesa office. Kinda feels like I'm on line to be branded, like "next". They give you a paper and you're off. 10 stars for Dr Ambrosia and Carolyn. Been seeing Dr A for years and he is so kind, patient and listens. If it wasn't for Dr Ambrosia being a great doc and very kind, I would leave the practice as I don't like dealing with the non doctor staff. read more

Dr. Sein is a "DO" - here's the first issue. He's not a real physician or cardiologist, which is likely why he can't do his job. He told me for 3 years my orthostatic hypotension, heart murmur, and several other issues are due to "anxiety", even though he put me on metoprolol (a beta blocker). I finally went to another dr in his practice - a real DR - who gave me excellent care and referrals to other specialists! Whatever you do, don't see a "DO" and think you're getting an actual cardiologist. I won't make that mistake again! read more

John Devine Dr Desai informed that the stress test indicated blockage and reccomended catheder ablation. The procedure showed 95% blockage. Stint has given me that happy heart he promised. I am so thankfull for his skills, and thankful for the time he took to explain every detail. It's rare when a doctor assumes that you are intelligent enough to understand. My doctor at CVAM took over from a different cardiologist from Gilbert who was doing nothing about my heart health issues. My dr. at cvam jumped right in and has already in one visit has done more than my Gilbert cardiologist did in 2.5 year's. Thus far I am happy with their services. read more

I have been a patient at CVAM in Mesa for close to 2 years. I see Dr Desai and Dr Panico. I am impressed with all of the staff that I have dealt with so far. I have always been treated with courtesy and compassion. I especially like Dr Desai. He always takes the time to listen to me and solve each of my problems. He has an exceptional bedside manner. It's because of Dr. Grossman's rudeness and unprofessionalism that I am leaving CVAM and going elsewhere. During session, he'll just get up, leave the room, and not say a word. I'm sitting there wondering "where'd he go?" "is he coming back or what?" Turns out he's printing a copy of the session and hands it to me when I go out wandering the halls looking for him. AND THEN, when I log on to the portal, all my records pertaining to Dr. Grossman are MISSING. I've been waiting three weeks to hear back from CVAM on this little glitch. It's only the records that relate to the last five or six years that've gone AWOL -- all of Grossman's records. What's going on here? read more

I went in for my first appointment. I was greeted With a very unprofessional staff. They did not have my insurance verified prior to my appointment. Then the nurse calls me back and the Front desk tells the nurse they have to verify my insurance so I can't be seen right then! Then once verifies the most unprofessional staff person tells me I won't be able to be seen because I was late. I was late because u did not have my insurance verified. Customer service indicates a lot for me so I left. I will be finding a new doctor. Please Find better service where you know people care about you and how their patients are treated. read more

I'm a patient of Dr Grossman who has provided fine care for me over the last few years. I had to respond to the seriously misguided woman claiming DOs are not doctors. They certainly are: " MD stands for "Doctor of Medicine," and is the most common type of degree earned by doctors who practice medicine in the United States. DO stands for "Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine," and refers to a doctor who practices medicine whose medical school training included a focus on the muscular and skeletal systems to treat problems throughout the body. Both MD's and DO's attend medical school and take exams to become licensed, practicing physicians. In general, DO's tend to focus on the whole body when treating medical problems, and focus on your muscles and bones to confirm a diagnosis they make." The doctor you make reference to may have had the same residency as the MD in the next office. Both MDs and DOs can attend MD residency's. If the doctor was working at CVAM they are capable of offering you the same great care. read more

Unprofessional and dismissive. Have been going there for 10 years and left my last appointment wondering "Why am I hear?" No prescriptions filled, no blood work drawn. I was not told I needed to fast. So they collect their copay and move on. DO NOT go here if you want to be treated as a patient instead of a revenue stream. In fact, at the end of my appointment, my provider asked, "Well, do you want me to at least listen to your heart?" I guess that made her feel like she did something for the visit!! read more

I am not a patient, but I recently drove my elderly mother to her appointment, and I even went back with her when she saw the doctor. I think the staff is great. Very friendly. Except... The front desk people. They acted like they were annoyed to have to help the patients coming in, and they are kind of short and rude when speaking. Just not very friendly or welcoming. The ladies at the check-out desk are wonderful. They need to hire people just like them to work the check-in desk. read more

Imagine having ACTIVE symptoms and trying to call for TWO days and not being able to get a single person on the phone.. I have literally called 23 times with NO answer in any department.. We went to CVAM as a first time patient because we switched insurance. All they want to do is nickel and dime you. We just had many tests done a few months back and instead of using those results they wanted us to redo the tests which cost hundreds of dollars even with insurance. When we asked to just use those results they said no and they would not help us and asked us to leave. That's not the way to treat patients. read more

This place is a mess. I was a little apprehensive about CVAM after reading the reviews. It was with good reason. I had to call three times before I received a call back to schedule an appointment. I received a pre-recorded message the day before my appointment with Dr. Skloven confirming the appointment. When I arrived for my appointment half an hour early as requested to complete paperwork, I was informed that they needed to reschedule. The admin told me that they had called my phone number to inform me but it was disconnected. When I indicated that I had received a confirmation and got my phone out to show her, she said, "Oh, they must have misdialed." When she said they needed to reschedule, I declined. I don't feel comfortable dealing with this level of disorganization and lack of professionalism. read more

I was a patient, I had a physician I thought very highly of. But the office staff needs training. Basic trading like how to greet a patient. I was a patient of Dr. Kaplan's for quite a while. He was exceptional with my care. I was notified by CVAM that Dr. Kaplan was no longer with them. I had a follow up appointment this month (Jan 2022) with Dr. Kaplan. Instead of transferring my care to another cardiologist, they did nothing. They left me hanging. When it came time for my appointment I was told that I would have to start all over again as a new patient and I couldn't be seen until June. JUNE!!! THAT'S SIX MONTHS AWAY!!! I'M A HEART PATIENT!! THAT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I quickly found another cardiologist who could see me this same week. When I asked CVAM for my records to take to the new cardiologist, I was told that there is a $25 charge for ink and paper. OMG!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I could by a black cartridge and reems of paper for $25. I called my new cardiologist's office an was told that they'll get the records...NO CHARGE!!! NEVER, EVER USE CVAM.... VERY INCOMPETENT STAFF. read more

My wife died on October 24, 2020 because of heart failure. The cardiologist at this facility were the reason she past away. Dr. Sein and Dr. Krammar could have saved her life if they did the surgery on her two valves They recently put us thru hell to set up the surgery and appointments. My wife and I had to call every one to schedule the test that the surgeon from Banner said her heart and lungs were to weak and she didn't want to take any chances. She had no intention of doing the surgery before we even met, Two weeks ago she went for test that no one was concerned about three weeks before this. Her leg was swollen and painful and yet they saw nothing wrong. This office is not professional including the doctors. If you have some one that you love don't go here. read more

I have had no problem with the Drs here. But the office staff is among some of the most rude I have ever encountered. 10/9/17 I was contacted by customer service who was very helpful. I was also in the office last week and met with Dr Grossman, who I really liked. And I had no problems with the office staff in person. My previous problems were all on phone encounters. I also want to mention this was the speediest appt I ever had anywhere. 1:45 appt and I arrived maybe 5 minutes early. They started processing me in immediately and before she was even finished with my copay they were calling me back. Had weight and NP checked EKG done, meds updated by tech, saw MD. And as I was getting into my car after I glanced at my watch and it was 2:03. I'm not saying I was rushed, didn't feel that way, just the most efficient appt I've had anywhere. read more

This practice is a prime example of growing too big to care about patients. Here are some of my experiences: 1. I showed I for an appointment and was told they didn't know why I was there because they hadn't completed one of my tests. Waste of time. 2. You will never get through on the phone. You wait for 3 minutes and are instructed to leave a message. This will happen every time you call. 3. My cardiologist had a video visit with me while he was driving his car home. Very unprofessional. 4. During an appointment with a PA, I had to wait more than 45 minutes in the exam room without any acknowledgement that they made me wait. Then the PA was unable to answer my questions regarding my tests and treatment. 5. After a cardiac catheterization procedure, my cardiologist didn't even come into the recovery room to tell me how it went. I had to over-hear the nurses discussing the procedure to know what happened. 6. After sending a 4 page letter to the 'CEO' (not a doctor, probably a glorified office manager) I received no response to my concerns. These are just the bigger problems I had with this office. I did give two stars because I had good experiences with the staff who did my tests. Not every encounter was substandard, but many were and the deficiencies were significant in my opinion. Find a smaller practice where the doctor actually cares enough to talk to you. If you go here, be prepared to be treated like cattle. read more

Although they never answer the phone and ask to leave a message, I finally got an appointment when I went in personally. They had never called back even though I had left numerous messages. I was glad I persisted because Dr. Desai is a wonderful doctor. He listens and takes his time. He had even reviewed my records from my previous doctor.
