Tried to reach out to a manager to speak about my recent experience and never heard back. Guess it's gotta go public. Seriously your practice is lacking organization, care for patients and honestly I've seen enough quacks to know I will not be stepping in this place again. My appointment with your PA was middle of June, I got bloodwork done mind you in the in house lab. I had to call 4 times no exaggeration, to have someone go over the bloodwork with me; to have them to tell me to come in to talk about it. Why? So you can charge insurance, and get a co-pay out of me? After hunting down someone to finally get the blood results from over a MONTH ago, I was told my PA hadn't looked at them yet and couldn't go over the results with me yet. Takes another week, finally get a call about my blood results and they COULD NOT even tell me if my blood tests were worse or better from the time before, when I saw them about 4-6 months ago. Is my record not in front of you? You can't tell me if my levels have gotten worse or better from the previous time at your physical office and only telling me what's wrong when if you looked at previous records, my blood work is doing better. After reaching out to your management and getting no where or even a call back and felt like my insurance was being taken advantage of. Everyone needs to be aware. Find somewhere else and don't waste your time, energy or money here. read more

I NEVER leave reviews on here, but the way I was treated by Summit Rheumatology was so unprofessional and uncaring, I had to let others know. I had no problem with the Nurse Practitioner that saw me. The issue I had was with the billing department, & practice management. I originally called to ask about my bill. I wanted to know why I was billed a certain amount. Spoke with the billing manager and she gave me generic information that didn't even pertain to my visit on that date of service. I tried emailing and calling back and was ignored. The office manager initially was trying to help me and then she dropped the ball as well. My insurance company got involved and had terrible luck getting a hold of anyone also. I finally had to go to the State Board of Nursing to file a complaint because I was not getting any answers to my simple question. I finally went in to the office and met with someone who claimed to be the regional manager and she was absolutely no help. She gave me an empty apology. I am a medical coder and we have patients call in all the time asking about their bills. It is the patient's right to know what they are being billed for. The billing department should be able to answer the question very easily. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional practice in my life. Also, good luck if you need to call them. They rarely answer their phones. My advice to whoever is reading this: Look at your bill. Question it if you don't think it is right. I do not think they are being honest. If I were you, I'd find a new practice. That's what I'm doing. read more

Saw Dr Panico for the first time after knowing about her practice professionally and finally taking time to address my own health issues as a busy physician and parent. They never answer their phone lines and they don't respond to messages or emails in a timely manner. It usually takes them 3-4 days before they respond. And when they do, it's usually a non medical assistant who will respond. This is really unacceptable in today's digital age. It shouldn't be this difficult to reschedule an appointment. read more

Richard Horn is no longer with Summit. When I called I was told he did not retire ... which might mean one of two things. Richard did isolate my particular issue. Not gout ... but high uric acid levels were causing little finger pain when curled to their limits which was affecting my mountain biking. Apparently uric acid crystals can form ... especially on aging arthritic joints ... even when high uric acid levels are within acceptable limits. With Richard gone I took one star off my rating. read more

Sylvia Phommalinh PA-C was the specialist I was referred to for my Gout. She is a very professional person who seems to care. The office is nice and clean but the rooms are really set up like a lounge. Very comfortable. Sylvia takes the time to listen and makes me feel like a human when going in to visit. Unlike most offices where is more like next one in and next one out. This clinic has definitely helped me and I'd recommend this place to anyone dealing with these symptoms. read more

I LOVED going here! I'm literally so sad I can't go anymore, they don't take my new insurance. They listen to what you're telling them and give you more solutions that just like exercising and doing yoga. They give you options for treatments. Peter was very caring and professional! I only got as far as getting my labs done, but he did the full work up and had the results sent to my PCP so she can refer me to a new rheumatologist in my insurance network. read more

Initially I was excited that I found a rheumatologist that almost could match my one in Colorado. As time went by, my excitement dissipated. Now I have to call numerous times for my refills because they won't fax them over to the pharmacy. I literally go weeks without medicine due to their lack of efficiency. Every time I go there the front desk staff is cold and it just doesn't feel like an inviting place. My first visit was with Kim. I think she is a nurse practitioner. I felt she was extremely helpful and knowledgeable especially about thyroid health. I felt very comfortable with her and honestly I wish she could be my primary care doctor. They provide an information packet on supplements and exercise you can do to improve your symptoms and quality of life. Even if you don't have an autoimmune condition this information is eye-opening and useful. After they did my labs, my follow up visit was with Dr. Horn. Since I don't have an autoimmune condition, we didn't spend that much time together. He said I could continue to see them if I wished, but that there wasn't much they could do for me. He gave me some recommendations on other doctors to see and suggested a couple supplements. The extensive blood work they do was done by an out of network provider and cost $1,500. I haven't received the bill yet (~3 months later) and I hope I never do. I just saw that my insurance (BSBS) didn't approve it. On the pamphlet Dr. Horn gives you, it says to call the office if your labs are over $50. I called the office but they said I'll need to call the lab instead. So we'll see how that resolves. They also didn't forward my lab results to my primary care doctor, I had to call and ask them to. read more

I was referred by my PCP and had to wait 6 weeks for an appointment. I provided my insurance info with receptionist when making the appointment and was assured they were in-network. I even faxed them a copy of my card. I blocked off my entire morning from seeing patients just to be able to go to this appointment. I showed up and provided my insurance card again. She assured me they were BCBS providers. However, when questioned about my specific network, she gave me back my card and said no, they were not providers. No apologies for the miscommunication. No comment at all. Also, the sign on their door states a mask must be worn, but she was not wearing one. This is highly unprofessional and I have contacted my PCP so no new referrals will be sent. Mr. Horn may be great (I don't know because I did not get to see him), but the staff is highly incompetent. read more

I first saw Richard Horn around August 2018. Right away he ordered labs for autoimmune conditions. They came back positive for lupus. I have been going to doctors for many many years and they would tell me there was nothing wrong with me and just brush me off. Richard is very caring, personable and knowlegeable. I have seen Kim too, who is awesome! She listens and provides feedback and is very knowledgeable. Everyone in the entire office are all very nice. I recommend them to people who say they need a rheumatologist, people I know and people I don't know. I am so glad I found them, who knows if another doctor would have tested me for lupus. read more

I've had the run around with this office for the past year. The office staff cancelled 2 of my appointments and didn't bother calling to tell me they were cancelling my appt. I called today to see why I was not called for my iver the phone appt just to find out I've been discharged for not showing up to these appts when their staff is doing the cancelling and blaming me for not showing up. If you value your health do not come to this office. Richard will do bare minimum but try to get you to be a guinea pig for his research. read more

My first appointment with W Richard Horn, NP was in January of 2017. I had been diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rehumatica just the month before. Since Arizona is only a three-month home for me, I was also seeing my primary physician in Traverse City, MI, and Mr. Horn's knowledge and willingness to experiment is far superior. He is also a kind, compassionate man. It has taken awhile to find the right balance, but I am finally finding my way off prednisone without becoming bedridden by pain by also taking Methotrexate. I was berated and chastised as a child for having rescheduled my last two appointments, from both the front office lady and the doctor. (They count them as 'no shows' when you don't call 2 days in advance, and I called only 1 day in advance.) It was something that I have "NEVER" experienced before. It was insulting, degrading and very unprofessional. Dr. Horn impatiently went down a list of drugs like a checklist to ask what I wanted refilled. Not one time was I greeted by him or the front office lady. Not one time did Dr. Horn ask me how I felt or if there was improvement. He walked out the room without a goodbye of any sort, just leaving me hi and dry. I recapped my treatment on the long drive home to Maricopa, and decided I would not return. I left the Dr. and front office a voice message stating so. They need to realize that being a patient is not number to fill up your day, but is equivalent to being a customer. We have choices! More importantly all patients should be treated with respect and care. It is interesting that the first two times I visited him he asked me to give him a good report on Yelp! I wish he was as interested in "KEEPING" as patients, as he is on promoting his business. He may be old enough knowledgeable, but his office staff and bedside manners have MUCH to be desired. When I found Richard Horn,N.P. , I was so thankful that I found a Rheumatologist who was extremely knowledgable but most of all one of the kindest practitions I had ever come across & I am an RN so I know a good practitioner. Richard Horn is who you will see as he is the sole practitioner. Previously, I had been to 2 different Rheumatologist who weren't taking my symptoms seriously, yet I was despetatley suffering in pain where I couldn't use my hands & had to leave my home cause I couldn't climb the stairs. Richard Horn N.P. took the time to listen CAREFULLY, as he always does & did tests that noone else did & found multiple diagnoses & started treatment with rheumatology drugs that once put on the right medication, I no longer live on narcotics & I am able to briskly walk thru stores whereas before I couldn't. Richatd Horn & Bonhoeffer Rheumatology has improved the quality of my life to extrodinary level. Ofcourse with these diseases, nothing can remove all pain but I don't think of pain every minute anymore & that's a gift to my family & I as they have watched me suffer brutally for years, I will always be greatful to Richard Horn N.P. & the entire staff at Bonhoeffer Rheumatology!
