Shortly after, Amanda emailed me stating that the system had made an error and that the price was incorrect. She attempted to increase the total cost by $600. I contacted Amanda to explain that the pricing error was not my fault, especially since the booking was confirmed and a contract had already been signed at the original price. During this call, Amanda was extremely unprofessional. She began yelling at me, said she "didn't care," and refused to let me speak to a supervisor or manager, claiming she was the owner and there was no one else to escalate the issue to. I had to repeatedly ask her to stop yelling when I was just trying to explain my side as the customer. Ultimately, I was forced to cancel my reservation because I was not willing to pay an additional $600 for a booking that had already been confirmed. A company should take responsibility for its own website and pricing errors, those costs should not be passed on to the customer. I have never been treated so poorly by a business. This experience was incredibly disappointing and is not how customers should be spoken to or treated.
