First of all, I didn't choose this escrow company - I was the seller and the buyer chose them, which was fine with me. My escrow process went seamlessly. I was always kept up-to-date and had no issues with the paperwork, etc. The reason they get a five star review is I had an issue with the check I got and my bank. I was losing my mind. It was NOT Foresites fault at all and they fixed it right away. They canceled the check and initiated a money transfer. They couldn't have been nicer. As so many people say, I would have given ZERO if that was an option. These people are the worst escrow company I have ever dealt with over 20 years of buying and selling properties. Any request you send via email seems to go into a black hole. For example, I was to receive a refund check and asked twice for the Fedex tracking number to ensure I would be home for delivery. Nothing!!! No realtor should be suggesting this company. And, if you are so unlucky, stay away from escrow officer Joylene Diener. She is awful! read more

This company has proven to be nothing short of a disaster, and my experience with them--especially with escrow officer Joylene K. Diener and her assistant Alexia Dominguez (Lazo)--was horrific from start to finish. Let me be crystal clear: on the FUNDING DATE, which is arguably the most critical day in a real estate transaction, Joylene K. Diener completely disappeared. She ignored multiple emails and phone calls from the lender, leaving us all hanging and jeopardizing the entire deal. Her complete and utter lack of responsiveness was not just negligent--it was reckless. We had everything ready to go. The buyer, the lender--everyone was on standby and waiting. But Joylene? Nowhere to be found. Radio silence. The lender tried reaching out repeatedly, and so did I. No response. No courtesy. No professionalism. And just when you think it couldn't get worse--enter Alexia Dominguez, her assistant. When we called to get any sort of update, not only was she completely unhelpful, she actually hung up the phone during the call. No apology, no explanation--just hung up mid-sentence. The level of rudeness was absolutely unbelievable. Who does that in a professional setting, especially when dealing with people's homes, money, and contracts? This is not just poor service. This is gross incompetence. Time is everything in real estate, and Foresite Escrow made what should have been a smooth transaction feel like a nightmare. Run - don't walk away from this escrow company. The only reason that we went with them is because the seller received a Senior discount and we chose to honor the sellers request, what a big mistake. They took what should have been an easy process and an exciting time for my aging parents and turned it into an absolute nightmare. They caused a 5 day delay, they didn't get documents to my lender that were crucial in the process, nor do they communicate where the process is at when requested by the lender, the realtor or myself. Because of the 5 day delay in closing it created additional issues for my move costing me almost $2k to extend the relocation. They are rude, didn't respond to requests for communication and have been impossible to deal with... having been through close of escrow 11 other times in my life this has been the worst experience I've ever had with an escrow company. read more

Sitting there in the car about to sign papers with the notary inside Foresite I had a hankering to read the reviews about them and it made me nervous, the reviews could not have been more scathing! But I have to say I found everyone there absolutely delightful, personable and very human and accessible. The receptionist is a bright spark and a lovely first point of contact, very welcoming and helpful, and I actually had a surprisingly jolly time with the notary, signing papers and talking about everything from travel to the plant her usually not-green-thumb managed to make flourish, how we decorate our Christmas trees, and everything else under the sun, her explaining in detail each step very professionally while we multi-tasked telling stories to each other. Picking up the docs days later, it was fun having random banter with the other women there, it was kind of like being in a highly professional environment that did what you needed in the best way possible, and a cocktail party (without cocktails of course!) with great conversation, personal insights and making what would ordinarily be boring into a really nice moment in one's day. So to all those who gave bad reviews, certainly not my experience and I certainly did not think that hanging in an escrow office would actually be a lovely and memorable experience. Not only is the staff rude and unprofessional, they are holding money on a cancelled escrow ignoring phone call and email requests to return it. They are NOT Licensed by the CA Department of Real Estate according to Leah at the Dept of Real Estate. And she can find no licensing for the escrow agent Juanita. Today, I will file a report with local law enforcement, State Department of Business Oversite, and The CA State Attorney General. Next, I will file a complaint against the two Real Estate Brokers who selected and conspire with this Escrow Company. Their behavior in other areas is suspicious as well. Yep, ninety percent of them are to protect their worthless butts Looks closely, you give up all of your rights, they know it, and they will treat you like crap, because they can He took the bait - because I lead him to it - because I knew from his tone, that he had no interest in MY concerns, not ONE iota, zip, but he had a lot to say about me, when I asked what his concerns were Now it's notable to mention that I had never met the man, or had ANY interactions with him, he had formed his opinion solely based upon what his employees had told him about me Basically that I was impatient and arrogant to the staff Hmmm, he finally culminated, when challenged as to why he didn't intervene while I was there by saying he'd wished he was "because he would have escorted me out of the office" Which I replied "good - I would have welcomed that, because then it would have given me the opportunity to call the police and have you arrested" That finally snapped him out of his trance and left him bewildered by why I could say such a thing, of course he was aghast - Here's what happen - I had instructions, "from them" for the amount needed for closing of escrow - I notified my agent that I was on my way there with a check for a quarter million and change When I arrived, I advised the clerk at the desk of my name, and told her I was there to drop the check off - as I was leaving town two days later, and I had very pressing priorities and not a minute to wait The check disappeared to the back office, along with the person who took it I was impatient - but never once did I storm into the back offices demanding my check - I think I asked the receptionist 3 times over the next 45 minutes that I was forced to wait Which of course annoyed her, because she was shopping for a baby shower on Amazon and doing her nails, literally, no kidding So, finally, when the woman came out from the back office, she made it immediately clear that "she" was annoyed, because I had the "nerve" to show up with out an appointment and "demand" to be seen Please note - I had no intention of seeing anyone - my intention was to drop the check off, get a receipt and leave These were the lies that were told about me - until I corrected him I'm not in the business of distracting anyone's business, and that wasn't why I was there I was also lectured to, as if I were a child, and told I didn't know what I was doing - I had a piece of paper with their letterhead telling me an "exact" closing number of dollars needed, and that was the exact amount of the check So these are the last people that I would ever recommend anyone doing business with But make your own decision read more

After reading reviews I obviously got the wrong agent. My experience is terrible they completely dropped the ball. I called today July 2 to make sure the deal was in order and everything was set for Monday's close since the holidays. She didn't even have paperwork from buyers lending company or any of the information I thought was part of discovery! But don't be fooled by the low fee, they charge for a lot of extras that I've never seen Escrows charge for before ($150 additional if a mobile home, $150 for downloading assoc docs in addition to what already paid the the hoa, $40 archive fee, etc.). As a professional in the real estate industry, I have no idea how this office is actually in business. I have never been treated so rudely by anyone successful in a client-centric business and almost never turn to a review site just to air dirty laundry. I know what it is like to have a tough stressful day but I HAD to make an exception in this case. Based on the way I was talked to I am 100% positive they would do absolutely nothing to change my mind. Scenario: Clients that just sold a home in CA are relocating to AZ and using the proceeds from that sale to purchase new home. In order to wrap up the documentation to, 1) Prove they no longer own a home in CA and do not have to qualify with the property's expenses, 2) They actually did net $X amount from the sale so they can make a down payment on their new home, our underwriting department needed a Final Settlement Statement. Did I mention today is closing day for the AZ home and our clients have their entire lives packed up and are driving to AZ? Or that I have a signed authorization on file that allows me to request an item like this on behalf of my client? A SIMPLE request to Joylene Diener has turned into a multiple hour headache for both myself and my buyer on a day that even IF everything goes correctly IS STILL going to a bit stressful for our buyers. They are buying a home in a new state. Have some compassion and just provide assistance so we can all move on with our lives. I am totally disappointed, I would never treat an industry professional that I shared mutual clients with like that. Use a different escrow office, they either can't provide service or are unwilling and they wouldn't help with an important document days after a closing. The sale of our home went relatively well since it was a simple deal, however I was not properly informed by Foresite that they would be issuing our check in the name of our trust instead of our name. This caused a lot of extra work to just to get the check deposited and paid. When I went back to Joylene to see about remedying this matter, I was told matter of factly, "that's the law and the way we do it." fine it may be the law, but a competent escrow officer might let the customer know that they would have to set up a separate trust checking account just to get their money. I am currently involved in a transaction as a private lender where this escrow was chosen. Judith Sevilla is both lazy and incompetent. She must hate her job and you can tell by her low energy and negative attitude on the phone. I thought I would go to her partner Karen who seemed a bit clearer, and more on top of her game but the file has stayed with Judith. The purchase transaction we are doing has some liens on the tile report. Getting this escrow to be proactive and help with getting payoff demands has been like pulling teeth. It took over 2 months to get a payoff demand that I could have done quicker. Then to add insult to injury when I think she has ordered all the payoff demands so we can fund, I come to find out their are still outstanding payoff demands to order!! And this is AFTER both Karen and Judith signed my lenders instructions validating they have read the preliminary title report. WHAT THIS SHOWS IS A LACK OF COMMITMENT, CARE, and DISREGARD to treating escrow transactions for both the buyer and me as a private lender. This is an outrage. How this shop is still in business is beyond me. This file has been a nightmare from the start and I am quite certain it will end in a lawsuit. Everyone please read all their reviews. I am a Loan Broker and this is the first time I have used Foresite Escrow. Although we close my clients purchase on time, they were very non-responsive to calls and emails. It takes multi request to get just the simplest documents. The escrow officers are very rude and acted like I was inconveniencing them with my call. Save your self the headache and stress and use any other Escrow company. It is your money, you legally have a choice were you spend it. I would not spend it with them. read more

I have heard lazy and incompetent to describe these people and I will have to add rude to the list. We just closed the sale of a condo in the area. From the start of the process they seemed uninterested in our business. For example, they neglected to tell us about California and Federal tax issues. We had to employ the services of a competent CPA to enlighten us to the requirements and forms necessary. As a consequence, had we left it up to them, over $50,000 would have been shipped off to the Fed's and State and we would have had to apply for its return. Can you imagine that administrative hassle! They even got some of the basic information wrong and tried to blame our CPA, who kept impeccable records, showing it was their mistake. Escrow companies are service companies, they make lots on each file, my recommendation, try someone else! read more

Absolute criminals. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! I had sold a house and we were in escrow. The buyer requested that we use Foresite Escrow. We were at the end of escrow and were to close in about 5 days. The buyer asked me if she could have some space before close of escrow to store some things because she was going through a divorce and did not want to move to storage and then to the house. After she removed all contingencies I told her it was ok to use the garage to store some things a few days ahead of closing. She said her movers would show up to move her items into the house. When the movers did not show up to move anything in I got suspicious. Also we were now about 3 days from closing and I had moved out so she could move in on time. As anyone knows, moving is not fun and you certainly would not want to undertake a move unless you knew for sure that the deal was solid. She had removed all contingencies so we believed the deal was a sure thing. Well, we soon found out that the buyer and Foresite were complicit in a fraud against us. We found out from the buyer's bank that she had stopped payment on the escrow check weeks prior to removing her contingencies. We were also told by another source that she had a relationship and had done other deals with Foresite. The buyer had nothing to lose and we had already moved out based on Foresite's claims that she had hard money with them to protect us. I confronted Foresite with the information on the bounced check and they denied it over and over again. They claimed they had money in their bank from the buyer. I had irrefutable proof from the bank that the buyer in fact stopped the check. The buyer had not shown up, had not called and was avoiding us. Weeks went by and Foresite kept lying to us. Still these slimes at Foresite insisted they still had money from the buyer. Our real estate broker was furious at Foresite as well. I threatened a lawsuit to go after Foresite's bond as well as a suit against the buyer. There was NO money on account. The purpose of escrow is to protect both the buyer and seller. That is their fiduciary duty. This company in my opinion is run by criminals. They certainly violated the law in my situation. Stay away. You have been warned. I will never use these idiots ever again. read more

Joylene was our escrow agent. There is no "Joy" in Joylene. First of all, she is impossible to get in touch with. Her voice mail is always full. I had to get help from my real estate agent to contact her. She was in a huge hurry to close the escrow for the buyer but took four extra days to get us our closing money. Then when one of the contractors called us to say he was paid twice, once by us through a credit card and again through escrow I tried calling her to solve the problem. On April 5th her assistant said she would issue a check in 48-72 hours. That didn't happen. I waited until April 25th to give the mail time to get to us and called her. Again, voice mail full so I emailed her and she said she would mail it out that day. On April 28th I called to say the check had not arrived and she said she forgot. I also said we never received a final closing statement. We finally got the statement and our money on the 29th of April. Our escrow closed Feb 28th. read more

As a licensed Realtor located in Orange County, I can attest that Traci handled a potentially fraudulent activity seamlessly and with the utmost professionalism. I have used Tracy Thiel and Joylene Diener, they both have been very easy to work with and very professional at all times.
