I'm so grateful to Jesse and his team for all the work they did in my home, and especially for remaining so kind and respectful through the entire ordeal. I first contacted a plumber when I realized there was a water leak and I had no idea where it was coming from. He recommended we call Cutting Edge to help with drywall removal/asbestos testing so he could properly find the leak that clearly was going to be a pain to find. He did find it, it was the copper under our master sink leaking down into the first floor and water damaging the area under the stairs and the drywall all around our fireplace and pantry. The plumber fixed the leak but all other repairs were shouldered by Cutting Edge entirely. I was very pleased with every step of the way in terms of professionalism and customer service from cutting edge. Anything I was unhappy with (for example how long the repairs took to finish) were out of their hands and rested solely on the insurance or the nature of the damage. We had to have dehumidifiers in the house for about two weeks but that was going to happen no matter what because the moisture needed to be pulled out of the framing. Also, from the very get go, Jesse was very upfront about the timeline expectations and he let me know I was looking at about a month before he could say everything was finished for good. The dry wall removal was quick and efficient with the workers creating temporary plastic walls for my kids' safety and with a pathway into the garage and outside for quick trash removal. Once all the drywall was out, they even vacuumed up their dust for me (which heck yeah, thank you!) The drying process took a few weeks between actual drying and waiting on insurance to send their own adjuster out. But as soon as approval was given, the Cutting Edge team was on it and quickly got up new drywall, then texturized and painted, extending the paint out as far as was needed to make sure there were no harsh lines or mismatching. Overall, I am so grateful to them for getting here so fast and helping detect that leak to stop further damage the same day I called. And want to give extra kudos to Jesse for going above and beyond in catering to the insurance hurdles and the level of professionalism he maintained. We had a toilet leak that affected the ceiling in our kitchen and thins company was referred to us from our friends from Honor Plumbing. Cutting Edge came over the same day, assessed the situation and started mitigating the bathroom. They were open with the costs and ensured us that they represented us in this insurance claim. After experiencing water damage in the home, my Plumbing company referred me to Cutting Edge Restoration for drywall repairs, painting, carpet repairs etc. Based on the insurance assessment of the damage, they were able to repair all areas in the MBR bath and hall bath and also handled additional requests (painting the living room and hallway and MBR). We were pleased with the results and their willingness to apply discounts and credits to our repairs that were included in their original estimate, but not needed after change orders. The amount of work did take longer, as we expected, due to changes in scheduling requested by us. Having participated on major building contracts in the USMC, I was completely familiar with the process, so I was flexible in moving forward, just as Julio (Project Manager), and Julio (Restorations Tech), were as well. Any issues that arrived were resolved and to our satisfaction. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company. They were respectful, accommodating and professional throughout, even under challenging circumstances put in front of them. Communication is key, and flexibility a must in most home projects. Not sure what the specific circumstances were in some of the previous posts, but reading the vitriol language of those posts may indicate that those owners may have been in situations that would challenge any hired contractor. The State has a Website guiding consumers in hiring contractors in general and following those recommendations in particular should make the customer-contractor relationship smoother. Keep an open mind and let them work with you. They will offer discounts were they can, because they really do want to make things right and earn repeat business and referrals, which are crucial to any reputable company.. As for their charges for their repairs, you need to consider that they charge fairly and are aware of other companies and competition. You are paying for quality work and Federal, State, and County, City régulations and labor and insurance, etc. If their work was very easy, everyone would be doing the "Home Depot" thing. read more

This company was out there immediately (within the day) and pumped the water out from under my house-even finding a few crevices where the old heater used to be under the house-and pumping the water out of there also. The Cutting Edge mitigation team led by Sleiman Chacra was incredible! I can't say enough about their tremendous efforts & professionalism. I had a plumbing leak that resulted in 3-4 feet of dirty water & mud under my old (1931) house in the crawl space. The plumber recommended this company and the mitigation manager, Sleiman (Abou) Chacra, showed up at house within 1 hour of calling. He was polite & professional and answered all of my questions. He explained the clean up process and what would occur the following day. And perhaps more importantly he was kind and reassuring in a time of high stress.  His team worked tirelessly and did a remarkable job at sucking out almost 3000 gallons of dirty water & mud, power washing underneath the house, laying down absorbent, and then cleaning up any mess left behind.  The foreman, Sleiman was so good at explaining the process and so respectful of my house. Cleaning up the damage from  a flood of that magnitude is not an easy task but they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Sleiman and his team. AWFUL!! Do not use these people!! They will rip you off!! Not only do they do horrible work but they are rude and unprofessional!! They'll take your money and never look back. They came in to repair after water damage. Not only did their "work" take forever but the quality is sooooooo bad. They spent more time "fixing" their mistakes than they did on anything else. Agreed would not recommend !! in fairness polite staff but shady business. I had a flood in my house and this company was refereed to me by the water repair restoration. To make things easier in a desperate one to get house in order assuring no problem Refused to give me any prices until they were able to see what the insurance company paid me when I questioned them the reply was whatever the insurance check is they saw by accident unfortunately)and then charged full amount stating that's how they do it. On top of that move out part was over $1800 dollars to move living room couches and dinettes set to my garage and back after floors were done. I asked what they would of charged if they didn't actually see the paper and they said for a laminate floor, drywall repair and tile tear out in about 600 square feet would maybe be $15000 (nuts) Very unethical took me and my homeowners to the cleaners. Not right in anyway and feel very sad to see unethical business practices. Don't be suckered!! And in what contracting company doesn't know or won't give you an estimate upfront. i called, set up an appointment for a water mitigation expert and a plumber because the website said "free estimate" for work the experts feel needed. the plumber said he'd need about $330 upfront to do a camera; then the water mit. person asked me to sign the contracts for an estimate. that was really weird to me and i decided to go elsewhere. BTW- they all sounding like they knew what they were doing, but i did not feel confident because they would not give me an estimate with what they were going to do nor the process of getting the work done with communicating to the insurance adjuster. to be complete with this review tho, i don't know if they are good or not. other reviews were good - i just like to know what and how much.... read more

Let me start off by saying if you are ever in a situation where your entire house is flooded it is a very stressful situation. My toilet backed up from my master bathroom and flooded through my ceiling. I tried soaking up everything with towels but decided i wasn't making any progress. Not knowing where to turn I called Cutting edge. Julio answered the phone which was a relief since it was at 5 am. He told me he would have somebody call me back asap with a window of eta. I forget the guy who called me back but they said they would be out in 1 hr to assess the damage. 45 min later a professional employee travis showed up with all sorts of gadgets to see how bad the situation was. He showed me where all the wet areas were and explained the whole process to me on what needed to take place. At this point i took there advise and signed there authorization for them to get started. They took extra precautions to protect my belongings and move things out of harms way. This put me at ease knowing i called the right people. They set up tarps enclosing the wet areas forming a room. Then removed all the wet material. They were at my home all day and at the end of the day they set up these blue fans to dry the rest of things out. After things were dry i was put in touch with Jesse he called me and explained he will be handling the repairs. My insurance adjuster was scheduled for the next day to come out and check the damage. Jesse explained to me he would like to be there so they can walk it together. Im so glad he offered this to me because i was afraid to talk to the insurance by myself. The next day jesse showed up as promised and explained to me what should happen. This really put me at ease.. the adjuster showed up and they were measuring and negotiating together I'm glad jesse was there because the insurance wanted to patch my floor which i wouldn't be happy with since it would look bad. Overhearing them talk jesse explained that there was no way to get a exact match. The adjuster decided to replace my floor after talking to Jesse. I know if he wasn't there they would have tried to bandaid my home bringing my worst fear to light. After the meeting Jesse stayed behind to go over the next step with me. He told me that repairs would take 2-3 weeks and set up to start the next day. For the next 2 weeks things went really smooth the crew from Cutting Edge was a pleasure to have in my home they were very polite and worked with me on my busy schedule for scheduling. The work was completed in about 2 1/2 weeks so within the time frame the had given me. I have worked with other contractors with horrible experiences so it was refreshing to finally get a company with this amount of integrity. On many levels I'm am very satisfied with Cutting Edges services. So much that i felt the need to write this long review on my experience with them. I just want to say thank you!!! Hello, For anyone who has a flood or is in need of a contractor you should definitely call these people. I've had two floods in one year. What caused the flooding was a hole in my pipe inside the concrete floor. The last one I had I called my insurance company they set me up with a company they work with. That was probably the worse decision I could of made. They were courteous but that's about it. I really felt like they cut a lot of corners to save money since they were in cahoots with the insurance. I was left with stuff like flooring pieced together and cabinets not matching exactly. I just don't feel like I was taken care of. I don't like bashing people so let's get on to Cutting Edge. Which brings me to my second flood I had an additional slab leak 3 feet from the original spot that caused the 1st flood. I called Cutting Edge they came out and actually gave me some options, explaining to me what I wish I knew the first time. They told me that I should most likely do a re-route which eliminates the pipe in the concrete this way I won't have anymore problems in the future. They dealt with my insurance company to actually get this covered through the claim explaining to them that it would actually cost more to do a direct fix like before. These guys know how to help you and talk to your insurance to get the best possible outcome. Everyone that I dealt with through cutting edge was awesome from the beginning to the end. I'm not sure the circumstances from other reviewer's but if you take step back and let them do their thing I'm confident they will take care of you they did in my case. My whole house looks brand new better than it did after my first flood experience. Stop reading and call them!!! read more
