I ordered Gravel on a Wednesday and specifically told them I needed it the next day and they said they would deliver it , well they didn't the following day I called and again they said it would not be at my home till Friday, well never came I had to call the following Saturday morning because they closed at 3:30 as I was trying to call on Friday around 3:30 nobody answered and their hours are till 4:00 . make long story short my gravel was not delivered till Monday and on top of that they wanted to charge me $73 a ton instead of the price that was $71 a ton also they did this something similar to this last year . the least they could have done was give me a discount. so upsetting . I went to Cutting Edge Curbing Sand and Rock on 67th ave. Before I ordered rock, I spoke to a gentleman named Anthony which was very helpful. I asked, the lawn is 200 sq ft in front how many tons would I need? He said each ton covers 100 sq ft he also explained to me that the tractor outside slip scooper would be a ton. I asked which one the big one or the small one he said the first one, which was the large scooper. That's how I new I would have more than enough rock with 2 tons for the front and I would have some left for another 50 sq ft and then some. So I placed an order for 4 tons, when my husband arrived he told me that they had delivered what looked like only 1 ton. Of course I called them right away they kept passing on the call. After about 1 1/2 I finally spoke to their supervisor Terre we setup an appointment to meet he came out and said that the measurements were incorrect that it was a little over 1000 sq ft. A thousand square feet is the size of a tennis court this lawn is not big at all. Terre said that we we're delivered 3.7 tons and that I needed 17 more tons, my client has already paid 395.00 dollars. I had to order 7 more tons and paid 560.00 dollars more with a whole 100.00 dollar delivery fee again. Mr. Terre was courteous and gave me a whole 25.00 dollar discount :( what I believe it would cover the missing rock that he said it's only a little bit of rock that my driver was short off and wouldn't make much of a difference. I mentioned to him I believe it's better that he would have went over instead of being short, right! Here I am waiting for them to call and schedule the delivery, the call won't take place till tomorrow Tuesday hopefully they'll deliver 1st thing Wednesday morning. And deliver all 7 tons and aren't short!!!... They take advantage of us because how do we weigh the rock to know that there delivering the whole tons ordered! :( read more

Back in 2011 I wanted to remove the grass in the front yard and replace with rock - only I didn't want another boring rock front yard like everyone else has. I wanted visual interest - a unique design and color contrast with rock. Plus I wanted to leave two corners dirt for planting. Enter Cutting Edge Curbing - they gave me a price, I spent a few days creating/drawing the pattern I wanted on the dirt (I used a pray chalk stuff) and then they came out and matched the patterns. And let me tell you my pattern wasn't easy - it was elongated an sort of loopy. But they did it, and they did it well. I would call them again for sure. We did the work ourselves but once we were done, we found that we still needed a few more ton. I called them back and they were courteous and happy to help. WOW! How can a place like this be doing business with the public? What a bunch of thieves! I purchased 30 tons of a fine gravel and it was delivered wet. When I asked for compensation I was given a typical run around by the indoctrinated supervision and ultimately offered a 5 percent discount for my 15 to 20 percent of water weight. I asked for a 5 ton compensation and fell like I was compromised. They would not offer that to me, stating that there was probably 50 lbs.of water. The guy is so wrong or a huge liar. You decide. But unless you are a landscaper, I would not trust this business at all. read more

So I order 10 tons of gravel, given a time frame from 12 till 2. Around 3 the truck shows up. When I ordered the gravel I was told it was washed. Well it wasn't "washed" as when the load was coming off the truck I could see a lot of dirt in the gravel and also it had been watered down. So with as much water and dirt that was in the load, I paid at least for a ton of dirt and water. I was going to talk to the driver, however as soon as he dumped the gravel he drove off into the sunset never to be seen again. The people I dealt with in Glendale were very nice, just not happy with the gravel having so much dirt and water in it that paid for. read more

Just horrible product and experience. Was quoted a different price and charged higher when the truck was already loaded. In total we bought over 18 tons(30-40 tons more wroth were going to come their way, but they have lost our business). Never had i seen gravel/decoration rock with so much sand. After washing my small area with high pressure water there was so much mud left behind. They do not SCREEN their rock as they say, especially their 1 inch. Save yourself time and hassle and go 1 more mile down the street to Bedrock. They are $5-$8 cheaper per ton. read more

Cutting Edge Curbing installed 120' of curbing in my backyard on 05/26/2022. The quote was $621.50 all in. That included materials, labor, their 8% fuel surcharge and tax. However, they charged my credit card $1,117.84. They are trying to charge me $539.50 in a fuel surcharge. That's a 100% surcharge and I only agreed to an 8% surcharge. Cutting Edge Curbing owes me $496.34 and is dodging every attempt I make to contact them. I've called them several times over the last 72 hours and sent 5 emails to their accounting department, accounting manager and the employee that emailed me the invoice with absolutely no response. All I'm requesting is an updated invoice with the correct amount and a status update regarding when my card will be refunded but I cannot reach them. It feels very much like Cutting Edge Curbing is trying to defraud me out of $496.34. If just one employee, any employee, were to call or email me back it would have put my mind at ease. I had to report this charge to my credit card issuer to get any resolution. The credit card company resolved it in one phone call and it wasn't even their problem. That is how customer service should be handled. I'm extremely disappointed in Cutting Edge Curbing and I cannot recommend their services to anyone. read more

Mine was the "job from hell" and I was nervous about how it would turn out. I am finishing up a massive renovation on my house and there is about 1500 feet of 26 year old existing extruded curb on my property. Its crumbling in areas because whomever installed it didn't mix in enough Portland cement. So, I removed 576 feet of curbing and scheduled Cutting Edge to replace it. To be sure we got the right color, we visited their showroom in Glendale and picked out what we thought was the closest color. (AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!! COLOR CHARTS SUCK... they are just a wag!) Today, when the foreman looked at our existing edging, he said, "The color you picked is the wrong one. THIS is the color you want." He nailed it. One ten foot section was a repair in an existing curb and you can hardly tell the new from the old. Wow. The work was extremely professional as were the guys. The Foreman spoke passable English but one of the helpers spoke perfect English so language was "no problemmo!" The cost per foot was very reasonable and the only problem is the new stuff looks so awesome, my wife is wondering if we should replace the rest of the old stuff! I had painted semi-wiggly lines on the ground which kind of matched the prior wiggly installation. This foreman suggested using a string line to help keep the curbing machine running as straight as possible. I am glad we did as the new curbing looks so much better than the original work. In one super noticeable area, the old curbing had broken off right where it ended next to a new flagstone entrance. The Foreman made funny faces when I said I would just cut that broken end. He suggested we replace that end to match the new end on the other side of the flagstone. I said, "OK" at which he broke the old curbing one section back and the finish guy worked it by hand and both sides now match perfectly. Boy... am I glad I listened to him. Hats off to Cutting Edge Curbing and their crew. Great guys. Great job. Update: After a couple of months, the ever-so-slightly darker color of the new material has faded slightly and now is almost exactly the color of the curbing we originally had. In another year, you won't be able to tell the difference by color. And, this new curbing is WAY stronger than the curbing we replaced. I have driven over the curb in a couple of spots and not even a hairline crack. In all the edging they laid, there is only one shrinkage crack on the whole job that wasn't in a crack joint. We are VERY happy with the work. read more

We had an appointment for our curbing to be installed today, which we scheduled 3 weeks in advance. This morning we got a call that they had a sick call so they would have to reschedule our install. Took the day off of work to be here so my husband told them they needed to rearrange and get us in today. She said she would call back, the original call was at 0710 this morning. Install was scheduled between 10-1p. At 1230 my husband called and wanted to know when they would be here. Come to find out they aren't coming today, but maybe on Monday. Not taking another day off to take a chance that they might show up! Horrible service and won't use them ever! read more

I stopped by their yard to see if they had a certain type of gravel I was looking for. They had a ton of stone and gravel to choose from. They helped me pick out the right kind of cover and gave me some great landscaping tips. I even had them come to my home and install some curbing to provide a border between my lawn and gravel. Their prices are great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner even helped me out directly. I definitely recommend these guys! read more

One of the worst customer service experiences ever in over 20 years, i was truly blown away. Had this been a set-up, I would be laughing. Sadly, this is all true. So much relies on the person you have answer your phone. The first touch to any customer is crucial to winning their business. Today I called in and spoke to the receptionist, who hung up on me. I called back, she picked up and hung up before saying anything...like a nine year old child. I waited a moment, called again, she answered and I simply said, "Really?". She didn't apologize, she confirmed that she hung up on me twice because she was busy. Then she hung up on me again. That's right, three hang-ups in a row. Tell me honestly, is your business so good that you can afford to lose any customers? Really? If so, I'm happy for you...but it's not. The property management company I represent has significant holdings in this area, and Cutting Edge Curbing Sand and Rock will not be getting any further calls from us. I've advised our partners that I will not approve any work orders or invoices addressed to this company. What a waste. I have used these guys over the years several times for curbing and now they have granite and other supplies for landscapers and residential homeowners. Their sales guy is great and always stops by my office to give me a Christmas gift which is nice too. Their prices are fair and they have good customer service. They do not reinforce the curbing, they walk into your backyard at 6am unannounced and almost get shot. They rip up your stake markers for other projects. No one speaks understandable English. There contact at the office had an excuse for everything. Glad we kicked them to the curb before the project was completed. If you want to waste your time and money use these guys! When I placed an order for 12 tons of gravel, I wasn't sure if I wanted 1" or 1/2". I ordered 1" and asked if I could call to change the size. I was told I could. I called less than 2 hours later and was told "no worries" it would be changed. They delivered 10 tons of 1". I agreed to keep it, but ask that the other two tons be 1/2". They delivered 1/2" filled with dirt. I wish I could add a photo of the two piles; it looked like 2 very different colors, but it was the same, just with a lot of dirt. The guy who spread the gravel, who had recommended Cutting Edge to me, said I had been cheated, and that sometimes he was picking up dirt with just a few pebbles in it. I called and asked for 3 more tons to complete the front of the house. (I wouldn't have needed 3 more tons if the order had been correct.) I would pay for the gravel, but asked if they would wave the delivery charge because of this. (I live 7 minutes from them.) They said they would reduce the delivery charge from $45 to $25.00 Their product was sub par, and their attitude showed great indifference. They may be fine if all runs smoothly, but if you have a problem, don't expect any satisfaction. I bought the remaining 3 tons from another company. read more

We had Cutting Edge Curbing lay 200 feet of curbing in Omaha Tan at our house about two weeks ago. Everything looked great until the curbing dried to a pink color. Cutting Edge was very prompt in responding to my issue and sent the crew back out to look at the work. The problem is the color card they showed me that has what is called "Omaha Tan" on it matches the curbing. It's nothing close to a tan color, the tan color we choose from a video monitor is much more tan than what we now have in our yard. Of course they have all the disclaimers that the actual color may vary, but we now have pink concrete in our back yard. Beware of their colored concrete. If I could do it again I would just go with standard concrete grey and be ok with it. read more

I was driving on the 303 hundreds of feet behind one of their trucks. Suddenly small rocks were dropping all over the road. I had seven chips and one large crack put in my windshield on a 2015 car. Despite having 2 witness from my church group riding with me, the company's management refused to take responsibility and practically accused me of lying. They are extremely irresponsible and I would never do business with them. read more
