We've used Cutters Landscaping for several projects in both our backyard and front yard over the years, and we couldn't be happier with the results. I've had the pleasure of working directly with Charlie, who is not only incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented, but also genuinely cares about the quality of his work and his clients' satisfaction. Every experience with Cutters Landscaping has been smooth and straightforward--from planning to execution. I always do my research on pricing, and their pricing is always consistently fair and competitive, especially given the top-notch customer service they provide. I highly recommend Charlie and his outstanding team at Cutters Landscaping. After multiple years of working with them, I can confidently say you'll be in great hands! Thank you Charlie read more

We have used quite a few contractors and Cutters is very different. They do exactly what they say they are going to do and the do it on schedule. We provided the outline of what we wanted and the came up with a solution and the deck looks great. I would highly recommend them. read more

Buyer Beware -- Cutters Landscaping Let Me Down I'm honestly not sure how Cutters Landscaping has so many five star reviews because my experience was anything but five star. Things started off well enough, but the quality dropped fast and the disappointment just kept piling up. I hired them to install a full xeriscape design which included removing old mulch, laying compacted road base, weed barrier, and topping with crushed granite along with planting drought tolerant landscaping. A large amount of mulch was left behind in the front flower beds, side landscaping, and other smaller areas around the house. I was told there would be a proper compacted road base followed by weed block. When I asked why there was no road base, the crew casually claimed it was mixed in with the crushed granite. That is not even close to what we discussed at the start of the project. Then came the real corner cutting. They ran out of weed block and instead of taking the time to get more and finish the job right, they dumped crushed granite straight over mulch and dirt. I see why they are called Cutters. It is because they cut corners and hope you do not notice. When I pointed out the mulch bleeding through and that the work was clearly unfinished, I was met with attitude instead of ownership. As a retired veteran I know the meaning of integrity and this was not it. If you are looking for a company that will actually listen to your vision and deliver with professionalism, care, and follow through, do not use Cutters. No matter the cost and I paid over $10K, if you are hiring someone to do a job especially in a market full of competition you expect the basics; quality work, clear communication, and someone who gives a damn after being paid. Instead I got excuses, rushed work, and silence once the check cleared. No one came to check the final product. No one followed up to ask if I was happy. It was like once they got the money I no longer existed. I've taken the quality control into my own hands and corrected the remaining lazy, incompetent work to ensure the value I put into this project actually shows. read more

They did a great job cleaning up the yards, planting new vines, putting down fresh mulch.

My wife and I vetted several landscaping companies to begin phase one of our dream backyard renovation and Cutters was just what the doctor ordered. When other companies rescheduled, no showed, or forced their vision down our throats, Charlie at Cutters took the time to listen and provide options. From the jump, Charlie and Brook provided flexibility and instant responsiveness. Beginning with the initial consult, Charlie really took in our vision and gave us options that fit within our budget. And even better, he let us know what would and would not work in a respectful manner. He was also a great advisor in getting our HOA approval for the project. The crew that came out was diligent and took great care of us. We have a massive backyard and hope to do so much more when our budget allows. You better believe we will go back to Cutters for all future needs. I can't recommend them enough! read more

Cutters helped me with a 40ft steel planter and bamboo for some privacy in my new backyard. They were responsive, thorough, their crew was friendly and skilled, and cleaned up the job site better than similar services I've had. Couldn't ask for a better landscaping service. read more

I highly recommend using Cutters Landscaping! Charlie and his crew built out our patio and fire pit area. The whole process was great, easy, and transparent, from communication to execution. I really appreciate their work, would definitely use them again, and recommend them to others! read more

Cutters is amazing. They have done my parents home and also our office landscaping and they truly transformed these spaces from an eye sore to a beautiful relaxing place to sit and look at. Hands down great job!! So easy to work with too! Thank you Charlie!! read more

I'm a new homeowner and this was my first time investing into my property since I purchased it. I'm SO HAPPY I went with Cutters. I had an idea, a sketch, and a couple of Pinterest reference images and Sarah was able take that and layout my vision. What I also appreciated is that they were willing to meet me where I was at in terms of budget. We decided a plan of action and how to phase out each aspect of the project to align with my bank account. Understanding that the long game is better than a fast return - I like that mentality. Once they started, the team was QUICK and efficient. Communication was also great, and feedback was well received. We ended up making some tweaks and I'm so happy with the end result. I honestly can't wait to get the other work started and now have so many more ideas! Top notch people, top notch work. 10/10 read more

We had a front yard revamp done which included the installation of a limestone retaining wall, flagstone sidewalks and a limestone trash enclosure. I can say, without a doubt, the finished project was way, way better than we could have dreamed. Cutters is the real deal. Charlie and his entire team really took care of us. This is the very best contactor we have EVER worked with, fantastic communication, collaboration, exceptional work and materials. They did what we wanted, stuck to the estimate, worked when they said they would, did what they said they would do. We have received so many compliments and everyone wants to know who we used. Their quote was detailed and fair by comparison to others. Highly recommend!! read more

Highly recommend Cutters landscaping. Charlie's quote was prompt and fair for the amount of work needing to be done. Charlie and his team transformed our hardscape/maintenance nightmare of a front yard into beautiful grass. We are very happy with the results and look forward to working with Cutters again for other projects we have planned. read more

We hired Cutters Landscaping to complete our backyard renovations after getting a pool installed by Texas Tiny Pools. We recently worked with Cutters to redesign our backyard. We did composite decking with a privacy fence, new gravel with southwestern plants and exterior lighting. We have gotten a ton of compliments from our neighbors and couldn't be happier at how it turned out. We highly recommend using Cutters if you are looking to upgrade your space. Charlie and the team were amazing to work with! :) read more

We have worked with Cutters on two projects now. The first was terracing our backyard, installing turf in certain areas, lueder stone walk way, sod, and sprinklers. They did a great job. Just as important as the quality of work was that they communicated well and did exactly what they said they would. Having done significant construction on our home and worked with a variety of contractors and trades this was by far our best experience. Due to our great experience with them on that project we hired them to demo and build our decks. This was a few thousand square feet of deck including second story decks, stairs and additional sqft below. They just finished and it not only looks fantastic is was incredibly well built. We will continue working with Cutters and could not recommend them any higher. read more

We were referred to Cutter's Landscaping through a friend and now that we've wrapped on our project, I gotta say it's too easy to see why she RAVED about them! Customer Service: My project team included Charlie and Manny, and both were professional, courteous, and communicative throughout the entire project. Seriously, they showed up on time, responded promptly to questions/calls, and have super positive attitudes. Customer Service 10/10. The Project: From day one, Charlie and Manny provided expert recommendations on what made the most sense for my project given shading from mature trees, available sunlight, and vision for entertaining, and overall desired look. Balancing the aesthetic we wanted with what would be most functional, they created a custom design for us which included: -High-quality turf throughout our extremely shaded backyard -Black gravel and leuder pavers to create a lovely back patio and seating area for our fire pit -Fresh St. Augustine Sod and irrigation in the sunny front yard -Modern new gravel and paver walkway to the front door, complete with steel edging -New plants in front flower beds that compliment our overall design aesthetic Results: The results are S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G, and the teams Manny had onsite were not only respectful and hardworking, it's obvious they take pride in their work and enjoy working for the company. Thx Salvador and Salvador jr! Flawless execution. In addition to being over the moon about the gorgeous end result, it's important to note how easy it is to do business with Cutter's. Zach, who helped us with estimates and invoicing, was awesome to work with. The online invoicing system kept us updated at every step, and the entire team from FOH to back office were incredibly in sync, which helps when you need to make changes or additions to the project along the way. So pleased we chose Cutter's for our project and we'll be spreading the word as we sip margs with friends in our new backyard oasis!! :-) Trust these guys with your landscaping and design needs, you will be so glad you did! read more

I sent an email to Cutter's on June 6 regarding our fireplace build. I felt the need to bring up the issues I had with Cutter's in a private manner, because they never replied to my email I feel the need to air my grievances. sent to: admin@cutterslandscape.com I would like to give you our thoughts after working with Cutters. As you know we provided a detailed plan to Cutters for our project. We understood that variations would be made, but a precise plan leaves no room for misinterpretation from the start. Communication with Cutters was absolutely terrible during the project. First off, sales told us the project would take 3 weeks to complete, that was a huge miss (project took over 3 months). I asked multiple times about the chimney cap with no answers. After a months of asking I was sent options. I selected one, came back from vacation and it's totally different. The fireplace opening is much smaller than the plan (if this is due to a functional issue that's fine, but COMMUNICATE). We also had additional, custom gutter work done. We told the team we'd be on vacation, but they sent people to do the work anyway. We spent hours on the phone figuring out what was being built. We were on a boat, so that wasn't easy. Its seems sales and the PM do not communicate and sales is not aware of what goes into a build. We've used the fireplace 3 times and it doesn't properly draft. The smoke mostly goes out the fireplace opening rather than up the chimney. Esthetically the stucco is popping off in about 7 spots. You sent someone to patch some of the holes and it looks worse than the original divots. The situations above were only a few of the headaches, but the most important. We are not asking for anything. I needed to vent. Hopefully this will prevent headaches for another customer. Thank you, Kim read more

They were great, hopefully the bushes don't die. Cutters was on time, and scheduled us out - not cheap but worth it for what we wanted. read more

We worked with Cutters Landscaping after our pool was built to complete the landscaping in the backyard. We got several quotes, and Cutters was reasonable, responsive, and made us feel the best about the entire process. I am so glad that we chose them! Charlie and Brook answered any questions that arose quickly and the team was able to sod, install rock, edging, and plants all within a few days and it looks phenomenal! We could not be more pleased with the work that the team provided and look forward to using them again in the future. read more

We are so pleased with the quality of work and customer service we received from Cutters Landscaping. After working with Yardzen on the design, we had several companies come by to give us quotes. In researching companies we had heard so many horror stories that we were terrified to select the wrong contractor, but Charlie was so friendly and warm it completely set our minds at ease. Felipe was assigned to our project and his level of experience was evident right away as he had to navigate some elevation issues in our yard. He took the design from Yardzen and adapted it to something even more beautiful that also addressed those issues. Once the work was underway, both Charlie and Felipe were in constant contact and always addressed any questions or concerns we had as they came up. The crew assigned to us were so friendly and professional, and are some of the hardest working guys we've had the pleasure to work with. Cutters truly took something on paper and made our dream and vision for our yard come to life. 10/10 - we can't recommend them enough! read more

Let's be honest, finding a landscape contractor can be scary. We all have the neighbor (or neighbors) who is more than willing to share their landscaping nightmare. I can assure you, however, that there are NO nightmares with Cutters Landscaping; only dreams come true. We wanted a low-maintenance backyard with Mediterranean-style hardscaping and boy, did they come through! PROS: - Top-notch customer service. Charlie always responded to our calls or texts and he worked with us to choose options that would stay within our budget. - The same crew showed up on time every day. - The crew was respectful of our property and our neighbors. (They never left trash lying around.) We had multiple neighbors comment to us how impressed they were with Cutters Crew. - The work was high-quality and the attention to detail was unmatched. You can tell that they love what they do. -They stand by their work. After the work was finished, we noticed that a sprinkler needed repair, and a separate area ended up needing a drain. The work was done, they were paid and Charlie STILL answered our phone calls and promptly got the repair work scheduled. He also kept us in the loop on a part they needed to order. Everything is working perfectly now. CONS: - NONE. Seriously. There are none. read more

We are beyond pleased with the work that Cutters Landscaping provided. They came in and redid our backyard pathway that we had previously paid someone else to do. The difference is night and day, and we are so thrilled with the results. They even went the extra mile to provide a little off-step from our concrete patio, which are dog is a big fan of. The crew also took on the challenge of cutting down our very large crate myrtles and our big oak trees. We can't wait to continue working with Cutters Landscaping again. read more

I would never recommend this company to anyone. Way overpriced for average work. The sales people know nothing about landscaping and constantly try to add more items on your quote. Then when you have issues afterwards, they tell you, you did not ask for those things. Then cut so many corners on their work, you would be better served going with ANYONE else. read more

Don't bother to call them--- because Charlie does NOT even have the courtesy to return calls- not even to decline a job if they are too busy, or not enough workers. Really rude and not very smart, considering a bad review can ruin your business. Asked them to do something, and they didn't. Gave them opportunity to fix it, and didn't. Since they did some things well, I asked them to come out again for other things, and got excuses.. and then he did not bother to return calls. read more
