Delighted to have found this fantastic salon! June and staff are so welcoming, whether you are new or are a long time client. In particular, Rebecca accommodates my every need for hair care and styling with excellence. Myra does the very best pedicures, hands down. Another review states "feels like family". I agree! read more

I've been going to Cutters Cottage for over 35 years. June and her mother, Mary, were always so nice when I first started and were extremely helpful for caring for my hair. It's been just like going to visit family and friends when I go for my hair appointments. So many of June's clients have been going there for years and now their children and grandchildren are going as well. Needless to say, I think June and all of her stylists are just the BEST! I'm always getting compliments on how good my hair looks and I always say "I've got the BEST hair stylist - June". A special thanks to June for all of the care that she takes with my hair. It really makes me feel great!! They are not only the best hair salon as far as I'm concerned but they have also been busy redoing their shop and it is looking Fantastic!! Be sure to check Cutters Cottage out. I recommend them highly!! read more

My wife and I have been going to Cutters Cottage for years. They have the most pleasant and professional staff. Plus they have so many services and any products we may need. Feels like family!! read more

Lea was the best stylist I've ever had. A wonderful shampoo/massage and very careful cutting, blow-dry and curling. She did exactly what I wanted, informing me along the way of what she was doing. Her attention to detail was amazing. It's great to have the services of someone who so clearly loves and takes pride in their work. I highly recommend Lea! read more

June and the other stylists at Cutters Cottage (Rebecca, Yusenia, Bill, Traci) are all highly skilled and creative. I've tried other salons over the years, but keep coming back here for their expertise. This place feels like family and I always get great ideas and recommendations for my hair. Even though we live more than a half hour away, my husband and I make our appointments at the same time and we drive up for our hair "fix" every 5-6 weeks. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! read more

Cutters Cottage - Haircut and color by June at Cutters Cottage - Nail Salons Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I received the best style and haircut that I've had in 10 years! Thanks Leah! Highly recommend

Maria is the shiznit. Thank goodness she came highly recommended. I was in dire need of a rockin' stylist in my 'hood. This is a mom and pop kind of place that's been around over 20 years - same location, south side of the street, just behind CoCo's. The people here are super friendly, and they carry all kinds of high-end brands, including Matrix and Aquage. The interior is a tad dated, with an old TV in the waiting area. When I was there, they had the Diamondbacks game on. Right on. On the tables are plenty of hair magazines to peruse. You won't find trendy furniture here, but, let's face it, are you making an appointment because of a chair or because of a great haircut? Back to Maria... She's incredibly friendly and professional. She's the first stylist EVER to tell me about the texture of my hair, how to complement my face shape, my hair growth pattern, my primary and secondary color hues - as well as explain the many different cutting techniques she used and why (to build volume, to make ends piecey, to shape my face, etc.). I was totally impressed! She gave me styling tips, too, and explained cowlicks and what to do about them. She then went on to talk about styling products and what's best for my hair type - including what conditioners to use and how often. Yeah, talk about impressed... We chatted also about travel - Boston, Chicago, Seattle - and living in Phoenix. She is super nice and easy to talk to, which is a huge plus in my book! Even better, one week after my cut and I'm still impressed. Stylin' it is super easy. I can blow-dry and go, or I can opt to funk it up with a flat iron. Her stylin' tips are helpful, too. And I'm so glad she used alot of texture and fine-point cutting, for it created a look I haven't been able to have since moving here. Seems not alot of stylists really understand their clients' hair types. I definitely recommend Maria to anyone, especially if you're looking for a 'do you know will flatter your face shape, your personality and your hair type. read more

I would do no stars if possible. Extremely rude receptionist asked for manager continued to hang up the phone on me. Really displeased with the lack of trained customer service employees answering phones. I called 3 times asking to leave a message for the manager and was hung up on and given no explanation. Not sure if there reasoning but usually businesses who will not let you speak to the manager or even leave a message for them have something to hide. Go anywhere but here for your haircut. read more

Awesome people that treat you like family, yet know their profession well. Their objective is to make your day right... and they deliver. Family owned and located in the Arcadia neighborhood, they have practiced in this for 40 years plus. Support local small business and go and introduce your friends and family to this unique one of a kind full service salon...where everyone knows your name! read more

When making appointment,I asked if the person could do a certain hair cut, was unsure. When I called back said she knew the cut (Rebecca). I did not have the blow dry, since I wanted to style myself. Cut with shampoo $ 40 plus tip. I received the same cut as I would have received at Great Clips with paying almost twice as much. Reviews are not always the same, people are different. read more

My goodness! What an experience! I have been long-overdue for a trim, but have been avoiding it at all costs. I normally hate what people do to my hair... but Cutters Cottage has changed my view on hair salons! I called at 5pm. June answered and got me in for an appointment with Yesenia at 5:30 the same day! I walk in and everyone is super friendly (including the other customers (is that the right word?)), the place is clean, and it is beyond welcoming. I told Yesenia that I wanted my hair short and that other than that, I just wanted it to look good. Yes, I gave a person I have never met before creative license with my hair. Eeek! By the time I put back on my glasses at the end, I was astonished! It is the best my hair has EVER looked! She worked it so that it was perfect for my face, my body type, and my profession! I am just beyond impressed and I can't wait to go back! read more

My friend recommended this place to me and I'm glad she did! They are very welcoming and took me with no appointment. I couldn't be happier with the cut I received :) it's exactly what I wanted and have received alot of compliments....plus the stylist (wish I could remember her name) gave me a bunch of good tips to keep my hair looking good and healthy. I'm deffinetly going to be a returning customer. read more

I've been going to see June at Cutter's Cottage for the past 9 years. Even though I've lived in Scottsdale, Chandler and Phoenix, the drive is never an issue! She is the daughter of the owners (who still drop in and answer phones & chat-up the customers every so often). She is absolutely amazing with my hair! She rescued me from a scary yellow-bottle-blonde straw that I called my hair to a beautiful blonde. Then I grew up and we went with a mix of three different colors, gold, brown and red. I LOVED it! She's counseled me through a few relationships and She's helped me adjust to a layered look and, most recently, a weave. The store has expanded from a tiny shop with 4 sinks & 2 chairs for nails to double the size. A few years ago someone stole their barber pole (who DOES that/????) They do have a real guy barber and he's always busy....the place is always busy in general. I highly recommend this place! I've never had a bad experience and they never push-sell anything. They listen, they suggest, they are wonderful. The prices are very reasonable but you're getting the quality that's sold in Scottsdale for 3 times the prices. Love this place!!! read more

Traci is great! She takes her time to make sure every cut turns out perfect. I highly recommend this family-owned business!

Good experience - ask for Traci. I get blow outs 6x a month and she suggested a "Roller Set" with the big cylinder curlers - and it turned out great - held up to TX humidity and 2 days of corporate meetings read more

I've been going here since high school and never had a bad hair day leaving the place. Everyone there takes such good care of me and always makes sure I'm satisfied with my style before I leave. Yesenia makes a day at the salon feel like laid back spa day you didn't know you needed. I currently live in another state but when I visit Arizona, I make sure to make an appointment during my stay because there isn't anyone else I trust this much with my hair. Definitely a place that'll help you feel you're complete best no matter what! read more

June, the owner at Cutter's Cottage, is a gem! She knows color. She knows cuts. She knows how to keep a conversation going! Found this lil gem through Yelp, actually. Reasonable rates, friendly, accommodating staff and I've always left pleased with my cut. I've been to see Ysenia several times, she's a good listener and does a nice job of giving me what I've asked for. You should know going into it, there's a separate charge for having your hair blown dry afterwards. That said, I highly recommend. read more

I just love this place! I have been getting my hair done here for quite a while and have changed my hairstlye and color many times. I had a really great stacked bob with light brown highlighted hair for about a year so a change was coming. I went to see June without an appointment just to discuss it. June was great she took the time to talk about it and then took the time to fit me into her busy schedule that night! I love my new blond highlighted pixie. I have had so many compliments even from the men I know. If you need a reliable salon that does AMAZING hair you have to choose Cutters Cottage. Every single stylist is great and so nice. It really is like a family... Plus the remodel is looking really good! read more

Terrible experience...I went here because of all the good reviews. I called, made an appt, told them I wanted a hair cut, they said it would be $27. I arrive, stylist sounds competent and I think I'm in for a treat...well my stylist asks me if I want more texturizing on top and I said can you dry it and then I will be able to tell. She said I'm not drying it. I was like what? And she said you just asked for a cut, not dry and style that would be $55 and I don't have time for that. I asked if I could borrow a dyer and do it myself and she said we don't have any extras... She said again do you want me to take more off, I said I don't know as it's wet and I need it dry to see if it needs more...and she's like I can't do that. So I had to leave with WET hair!!! I go to pay and she's like do you want to add more on, like a tip??? I'm like you know I'm pissed and you have the nerve to ask me for a tip?? I do not recommend this salon. It is not modern, it's ala cart and they don't tell you, and you can find somewhere else to go that's way better in the service department!!! read more

I've had long hair (almost waist line length) for a while now. I absolutely love it and didn't want to part with it, but I still wanted to change it up. I came to Cutters Cottage knowing I wanted an undercut and a trim. Tracie was amazing! She did the nape undercut the way I wanted, and it turned out awesome. She also was very helpful in suggesting what else I could do to change it up a bit, while still keeping my length. She even trimmed up my bangs exactly how I like them (which few seem able to do). All in all, I would definitely reccomend this place, and especially Tracie!! read more

New in the area. BADLY needed a cut. Don't want to be a 'blue-haired lady' and am far past my 20s. Based on other reviews I decided to give them a try. Called for an appointment and didn't have to wait for a week or more to get in! Yesenia is WONDERFUL!!!! read more

Yesenia literally fixed my hair color. I thought it was destroyed by previous colorings by other people and she made it look so natural and healthy. Within two hours of leaving her, the next stops I made people complimented my "gorgeous" color. I was told I look ten years younger, that it looks "so natural," and these comments were made by people I hadn't seen in a long time - the comments were off the cuff. I am sooo happy to have found her; had gotten her name from someone who has been going to her for years and who drives almost an hour each way to see her, and now I know why. Yesenia has the perfect mix of being low key/not pushy/non-drama and knowing just what hairstyle and color will be perfect for my face. She is not judgmental and makes me feel like I am in good hands. She is a true professional. She is exactly the stylist I have been looking for for YEARS. My 9th grade daughter loves her too. She cut her hair exactly how she wanted it. I love the salon: it is down to earth. I feel comfortable wearing jeans and sweatshirt when I go. Everyone there seems down to earth too. They have available what seems to be the best products. I have never been more completely impressed by a salon/stylist experience. read more

I've lost count of the years I've been a Cutter's Cottage customer. I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you are the kind of person who wants to find ONE PLACE where you can get comfortable and know your needs will always be met, this is most likely your place. Customer service is their #1 priority, it's a family owned business for decades, and they all are up on latest trends and styles. Amazing place!
