My girl has been excited to not only care for and ride, but also learn about some of the treats that the horses like The only downside I've discovered, so far is there is a low level of communication about what to expect, what to do when you arrive for the first time, and even how to make payment. I was relieved to know that, in addition to the cash box out on the table, they do take cards and even tap to pay. The owner, Kathy, is very focused on running the place and busy like most small business owners, and I don't think she has automated processes, or anyone work in the office to support her operations. There's plenty parking and the outdoor seating area has a great view to see what's going on in the ring.

I've switched up feed and medications and they always make sure that my horses are getting whatever is best for them. They're opening and welcoming to everyone, and the people who board here are all super nice. The barn culture is overwhelmingly friendly and everyone is always offering a helping hand. The horses are top priority, I've never even thought about moving my two anywhere else. Even as a young person, I don't think anything here is outdated or could be done in a updated manner, I spend hours at a time at the barn and I've never thought that the barn owners should change their ways - as I mentioned before the horses come first and they are all wonderfully cared for and loved. In addition there is a nice riding ring and a round pen on the property along with hours and hours worth of trails around the barn for trail riding. Some boarders complain of vet fees, though personally I've not had any sort of issues with the welfare of my animals. Maybe the reason other boarders have thousands of vet fees doesn't rest with the barn owners but their own ability to care for their horse. Also, there is no one here named Gary.

Julia (1 hour) felt like a continuation of the work I was doing with Nikki, yet obviously with her own style. Each lesson is focused on growing the basics. Both instructors are very mindful of your body language, not just the mechanics and answer questions providing insight into horse behaviour based on your interactions. They keep the horse consistent . For all this I will continue to drive 2 hours round trip for two lessons (30 min ea) once a week! (perspective of this review: mature adult novice/beginner English rider, picking back up from childhood recreational riding. 0/5 would not recommend…read more Immediately after I fractured my finger, my party notified Cornerstone Ranch to request a new date, as I was--and still am not--medically cleared to trail ride. Very disappointing that they wouldn't reschedule us and only offered a 50% discount, citing their cancellation policy and having to adjust their staffing. To be clear, we did not ask to cancel; we asked to reschedule our trail ride due to a medical emergency. Their policy COULD allow for exceptions in circumstances like this, but they chose not to make one. Given the advance notice we provided, the ranch had the opportunity to adjust staffing accordingly. The Ranch also suggested that I could have purchased the optional ticket insurance at booking for added flexibility. But I did not plan to break my finger or require the flexibility to reschedule. Unexpected events happen, but unfortunately your response suggests that protecting revenue takes precedence over accommodating customers facing genuine emergencies. Their "well wishes" feels disingenuous when it is paired with a refusal to either (1) honor the ride at a later date without penalty or (2) provide a full refund. Extremely disappointing.

Went to their winter lights event with my two small children. We had to fight to use the train ride that we paid for since they refused to refund us. No one could tell us where the animals were that we had gotten feed for. The entire thing was confusing and disappointing and every single encounter we had with staff was aggressively rude. This was absolutely not a family friendly experience. We were charged over $90 for 20min of wandering around the property confused and insulted by the teenagers working there. After a full blown confrontation we were refunded $18 because they decided to close early without warning. Their response to us was that we were welcome to let our kids play in the dark for the remainder of the time we paid for if we wanted. Still can't believe the attitude the staff felt entitled to give paying customers just there to have fun with their toddlers. We will happily never be returning.

Jean sets the horse show schedule a year in advance and even provides detailed estimates for budgeting if you want. The transition to Wellington each winter goes smoothly with horses and riders well taken care of. My daughter has truly grown into a better, more confident rider because of Cory. He is a phenomenal trainer, accomplished rider and role model whose strong work ethic is infectious. He is constantly teaching, incorporating his vast industry knowledge with many life lessons. Goal setting and quarterly meetings are just another example of Cory's thoughtful approach to teaching. He never sends a rider into the ring without being overly prepared. Cory works tirelessly to make sure horse and rider are performing at their absolute best. He also provides direction and advice on everything from navigating the show circuit to the buy versus lease decision. It's no surprise that he is a well sought after trainer. The support staff at NBF is awesome as well. There can't be a better group of grooms anywhere. They take great care of the horses and everyone feels lucky to have them part of the team. Cory and Jean are awesome, and are far from snobs and ditzes. Not only are they great riders, they are great teachers, and are always friendly and easy to talk to. The way Cory teaches is superb- he always gives both praise and criticism, but the critique is never harsh and is expressed positively, and he never becomes frustrated, no matter how many times you have messed up or if you are running out of time. My mom has a horse in training there, and rides frequently, but I've only had a few lessons; yet my riding is already improving, and my ambition and willpower has risen to higher levels thanks to Cory and Jean's pep talks. This is a truly unique barn!
