Heartbroken after 7 years of loyalty--rushed 28-minute service, refused a refund, and treated like a nuisance.I have been a loyal client at this salon in Vernon for seven years, but after the appalling and hostile treatment I received today, I will never walk through their doors again.Because I have long, thick hair, my usual wash and blowout here always takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, for which I happily pay a premium price Today, I booked a wash, cut, and blowout. Unbelievably, the stylist rushed through all three services in exactly 28 minutes flat. Because it was so incredibly rushed, my hair was simply blasted dry with a round brush. I got home to find my hair completely poofy, rough, and deeply frizzy. It looked nowhere near the standard of a professional blowout. When I called, they initially offered to fix it tomorrow. A few hours later, they called me back, rescinded that offer, and demanded I scramble my schedule to come in today so I did at 2:30 PM. Even though I was stressed and busy, I politely agreed to give them a chance to fix it.When I arrived, the employee who I should name she is the mother in law of the owner according to her at the desk completely humiliated and embarrassed me. She flatly refused to let anyone re-wash and redo the blowout correctly, stating a "quick flat iron" was all they would do. A flat iron is not a blowout, and baking a hot iron into a botched dry job ruins thick hair. When I politely declined the flat iron shortcut and asked for a partial refund or a credit to reschedule, she refused both. When I asked to speak to the salon owner to sort this out, the employee told me that the owner is her daughter-in-law and flat-out refused to allow me to contact or speak with her.I never once raised my voice. I was incredibly sweet, polite, kind, and patient throughout this entire ordeal. Yet, the staff treated me like a problem and a complete nuisance. For a salon to pocket a regular client's cash, deliver a botched 28-minute service, and then use family connections to shield themselves and lock out a loyal customer of nearly a decade is completely unacceptable. I hope the owner sees this and looks into how her family and staff are treating the long-term regulars who keep this business open. read more
