WORST EXPERIENCE!!…read more First off, I want to say that the girl who did my hair and the other girls who helped were very sweet. However, my experience with the manager, Ashley N., was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. As seen in pic 1, my hair was a pretty neutral/cool medium brown, which I had done myself at home. I was actually very happy with my hair color. My roots were just growing out, so I went to the salon specifically because I wanted my roots done to match the rest of my hair. When I went in, they bleached my roots and toned my entire head. Unfortunately, my hair came out very uneven, patchy, darker than I wanted, and much warmer than my original color, as seen in pics 2 and 3. I went back to the salon to have it fixed because I was obviously very unhappy with the result. Unfortunately, I still left with uneven color and a dark red-brown/chocolate color, as seen in pics 4 and 5. I was extremely upset because I had already been happy with my hair when I came in. I paid a lot of money for this service, and then I also had to take additional time out of my schedule to go back and have it fixed, only to still leave unhappy with the result. I did call the salon to ask for a refund, but the manager, Ashley N., repeatedly told me that the outcome was essentially my fault and that they had done "the best they could." If they felt they couldn't get my hair to the color I wanted, I wish they would have just been honest with me about that before doing all of these additional things to my hair. Instead, my hair went from a color I was already happy with to the red/chocolate brown color it is now. I even specifically asked the manager if she thought my hair looked cool or warm toned, and she told me, "I think it looks pretty cool toned." Looking at pics 4 and 5, I personally don't think the result looks cool toned at all. It looks noticeably warm and red compared to the color I originally came in with. When I asked the manager for a refund, she told me, "I can't give you a refund. I think it's best if we both just move on from this situation."

Not bleaching today just adding color to cover the gray hair)... I felt like they really cared about the results of my hair for the long-term not just for the one week. Most times anybody does anything with my hair involving color it comes out awful. The cut was absolutely perfect as well. Had to chop off 4 to 5 inches due to Very thin ends from my anemia... My fiancé had to come here today as she got her hair colored and cut yesterday at Fringe in West Hartford and they did an awful job! Her hair was cut uneven, etc and it became a total nightmare. Fast forward to today and Hair Gallery was able to correct the previous cut and give my fiancé the cut she wanted and should've gotten yesterday. The stylists here are extremely knowledgeable, super efficient and very nice. Everything and more that you'd expect from an upscale salon! This will now be her go to salon for eveything. By the way, the stylists name was Heather and she did an absolutely fantastic job! I'd also like to mention Sarah at the front desk who was also extremely nice and super accommodating for this nightmare. Thank you all!

As her Christmas gift I decided to get her a new 'do, but where to send her? I don't exactly live close by and am not familiar with salons in the area. After finding Timothy Richard's on Yelp I called them up. They were extremely nice and accommodating, set the appointment and allowed me to pre pay for everything. All my sister had to do was show up. She said her stylist Marcy, was really cool and helped her decide on a hairstyle that would work for her lifestyle as a busy mom with three kids. She didn't feel pressured to buy anything unnecessary, and just all around enjoyed the experience. She said she would definitely go back, and even my mother is going to make an appointment for herself! The prices seemed extremely fair, but I am going by Chicago standards after all, where I easily pay double for the same thing. But based on my sister's rave review, I might take advantage of their services myself next time I visit!

Cheap Cuts...Great Service : )…read more I have spent many years trying to find a salon worth being loyal to and I have finally found one! I won't let anybody touch my hair besides the people at Hairport. The rates are more than reasonable ($22 a cut), you are never rushed, and when you are there they make you feel right at home. The moment I enter the door I am greeted by name by every employee that I encounter. Moreover, the employeees are able to personalize their business by remembering my hair needs. For instance they know that I need volume at the crown of my head and specific layering of the hair. The best part is that I don't have to feel like a broken record everytime I get my haircut so I can actually enjoy my experience at the salon knowing that I am in good hands.
