    Mama got her hair cut first, and Madi did an amazing job with my long bob. I specifically wanted more volume in certain places, a piecier look, and NO cutesy flip up at the end, which happened every time I asked for this length. She very much delivered. Then had my oldest's new "haircut" slavaged, and finally today, the middle kid emerged from Laura Uterstaedt's chair looking like a freaking child celebrity! So their Dad has an appointment at the end of the week, and the entire family now goes here for cuts cuz they know what they're doing.

    I'm really not one to complain much but I had a bad experience here. I'm a blonde trying to go platinum. I had a previous hairdresser who was always booked so I was trying to find someone else to go to. The hairdresser I went to at acure salon (Maddie) was a nice person but I went in for full babylights and when I saw the results of my hair at the end, I was really disappointed. Almost none of the bottom of my hair had been done, and the top of my hair barely changed in color. I paid 230+ and they told me to come back in for a balayage. I know going platinum is a process but with how light my hair already was, it should've been able to be done in that one appointment...... 1 know many salon owners and hairdressers that I hadn't gone to because financially, I couldn't afford it, But after my experience I reached out to them to get their opinions and they ALL stated that my hair looks the same and they "don't know what this hairdresser even did to my hair" because it 100% could've been done. The hairdresser at Acure also claimed she mentioned that multiple appointments would be needed but there was no communication from their end and I was never told that, or else I would've gone somewhere else. They also said going platinum is a process that usually costs from $400-600 but I've already paid $700 in total for my hair and I'm still not platinum and would need like 2-3 more appointments so I'm really confused. That should have been my last appointment to get where I wanted. I talked to the owner and she refused a refund or even a partial refund, and offered for me to come in "to do what she could to my ends to even it out a bit" but she "wouldn't do much." I'm not too confronting because I get anxious but I feel like as a salon owner, it's unprofessional and you're not supposed to make the customer feel like they're hassling you and you don't have any time for them, basically making me feel like it's my problem to deal with and too bad. Now i get to go on vacation with hair I don't like!! I'm honestly just really upset because I shouldn't be paying this much for no change and I feel scammed out my money. Even though my hair was almost there, I wish I just went to someone more expensive. It would've saved me so much hassle. So moral of the story, if you're trying to go platinum DON'T COME HERE unless you want to spend like 1k. (also they didn't even shampoo and wash good, my friend noticed purple shampoo all behind my ears)

    I had a great experience with Samantha - she took the time to listen to what I wanted, looked at the photos I brought for inspiration and went to work. The color didn't turn out exactly as planned so she took the time to fix it and bring it more toward what I wanted. I really appreciated that I didn't have to say anything and she realized things weren't looking right. I left extremely happy after almost 4 hours in the chair! However, it's been a little over two weeks and my color (which was a lovely dark pinkish-purple) has gone away completely to be just a brassy copper color in my dark brown hair. I asked while I was there what I could do to keep the color fresh as long as possible and have followed the advice she gave me - not washing it every day and using sulfate free, color safe products. I'm really disappointed that it faded so quickly. There was enough time spent getting the color to stick that I had assumed it would last longer than two weeks! I hate leaving a bad review since I really liked Samantha and felt she listened to me, but it sucks to spend a lot of money on your hair only to have it look completely different than you expected a couple of weeks later. Next time, I would have liked to know that the color is barely even semi-permanent.

    I am shooketh with the amount of love and openness this salon has treated me with. They are the most kindest and knowledgeable staff I've ever met. I walked into the salon afraid of being butchered. I've never had a great experience with a salon before this visit. My stylist was Natasha, and oh my God made me love getting my hair done, she made me feel so comfortable and eased my mind. She was so gentle funny and super cool. She showed me a bunch of hair samples, and asked me exactly what I wanted. she was a great listener and executed my hair perfectly. This is now my go to! I left the salon with super soft healthy hair!

    Idk Izzy wasn't very personable. 40 dollars for a 15 minute mens cut , tipped her 40% didn't even get a smile let alone a thank you.

The salon was amazing--they booked me the same week I called. I had left a message outside of business hours explaining my situation. An 8:00 AM hair appointment might sound tough, but there is parking right in front of the salon, and it's free until 9! I was able to be seen by the eponymous hairdresser, who struck me as somewhat reserved but kind. We discussed my long-term goals (length, possible coloring later) and my preferred hair maintenance routine. (I shampoo and condition 3-4 times a week, use no products, or only air dry.) I felt good about the haircut while in the seat, and I looked nice at the end. Matthew explained that he had cut my hair so that it would lie nicely with some volume with no real effort. However, at home I didn't find a good way to comb or fluff my hair. So the front cleaned up nicely, but I think the overall haircut complicated my post-shower or morning "styling." Nonetheless, the professionalism, cleanliness, convenient location, and willingness to squeeze me in last minute? I recommend giving this salon a shot.

    I went to Shari Phillips to have my hair done. For whatever reason, she did not like me. Ms…read more Phillips intentionally ruined my hair so that I would not return to the salon. Rather than trimming angled layers around my face, she cut two small uneven chunks on both sides. Ms. Phillips also began trimming the longer layers towards my ends, but did not finish. The back was left undone. When I went to work, some of my colleagues took notice. They could see two uneven chunks around my face. I went to another stylist in tears. She was stunned by what Ms. Phillips did to my hair. If Ms. Phillips did not want me as a client, she should have not scheduled an appointment, rather than intentionally ruining my hair. What an appalling thing to do.
